I know I shouldn't say anything (it's a curse, and things may have changed since you filmed this), but in addition to having A LOT of really nice lambs, you don't have any bottle lambs yet. I remember when that ewe laid on her lambs last year. That was SUPER infuriating. Happy New Year, Lynn and Arnie!
Beautiful lambs every single one!!! The rams will enjoy the new digs!😂 This weather is crazy!! The last couple of days we have had relatively normal temperatures. However, like you, Christmas felt more like Easter with the mild temperatures!! It worries me that we may have trees trying to bud out which if that happens and we get freezing temperatures, we could lose lots of trees. Thanks so much for sharing your busy days and nights!!! Things that have changed since this time 2022: 1. Snow. 2. Katie! 3. You used to move the ewes with lambs directly from the jugs to the bonding pen, only sometimes keeping them outside the gate to get used to a bigger space. Now you seem to be letting them all sit at the gate first before moving them to the bonding pen. Am I misremembering? Happy New Year!
Yes, that is right. The big bonding pen is getting full now as are the jugs so putting them in the waiting pen frees up jugs with the caves and make an easier transition to the bigger pen. Seems to be working!🙂
