I have a Shelly 1 on my garage doors. But I did it differently. I connected a reed switch up to the switch input on the Shelly. This reed switch senses when door is open. Then in the software I selected the “detached” switch type. That’s because we don’t want the reed switch to trigger the door button. Lastly I use a 12v dc power supply and move the jumper on the Shelly to expect dc power. It works just like you show. But I can tell via the app if it’s open or shut. The purpose of the 12v instead of mains is to keep high voltage off the reed switch.

Hi, yes when we purchase we only get the Shelly 1 that you see on the link. We dont need any power adapter, we just need to connect directly to one of our sockets and that is it, the other 2 wires will go to the garage door. This is the beauty of it as i showed on the video Thanks 👍
