So glad you are back and your vision is going to be OK. My wife missed your channel so much, I had to sleep on the couch. She pretended the couch was the mill, I was the log and my snoring was the bus motor. Hope things get back to normal for you and me now. Best wishes.

I'm happy to see that you are doing better Mark. I also wanted to say that I find it amazing how powerful your sawmill is. I don't push a piece of 3/4 pine through my 10" table saw as fast as you throw those big old logs at that monstrous blade of yours. I'm a fan of some other channels on RUclips that have the band saw mills. They are really nice as well but no where near the power and speed of that beast you own.

Hello Mark, It's Paul from Windsor, England here. Just wanted to say that it's great to see you and Eddie back sawing after your eye surgery. I served my apprenticeship in a Joinery workshop and know what it's like sawing timber and the stuff that can fly around and hurt you. I eventually went to work on sites all around the UK and some in Europe but still love watching your sawmill in operation. Take care and keep on sawing!!

MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼…………………………………………………I’m glad you are getting better. Looking through the gas bubble makes me dizzy, for me it was like looking through a plastic bag of cloudy water. I had to wear a patch and use a walking stick to steady myself. Mine is almost gone, it is frustrating and people that haven’t gone through a retina detachment don’t understand what it’s like. I understand and I feel your frustration!

Then I did it again and this time I had to set it down, and her pick it up. We changed up and now had to go to the lab and them watch while sample was provided. No more spills!!!!

Ever think of putting in a barrel or small pen for breeding / harvesting tree turtles? Could collect and turn them into a neat plaque type item to sell in the store... maybe knots for heads, bark feet and varnish the flat side and make it a table plaque that people could turn over and read. Make sure to make both genders with realistic "junk". Had a pair of ceramic turtles like this when I was much younger that my mom just left on the coffee table and when asked told the curious that they were a mated pair. When asked how she knew she would just smile and wait until their curiosity inevitably got the better of them and they would pick one up and turn over. Hilarious.

Mark, glad to see and hear your eye is doing so well. Eye surgery can be a scary thing. My FIL just had cataract surgery on both eyes and his right eye is being treated for problems due to diabetes. He was having difficulty seeing things when he drove - but now he has 20/25 vision. They told him that is pretty good, especially since he is 89 years old.
Hopefully you will have a complete recovery, and this is the last time you suffer a detached retina. Just don't push it. We'd rather see you have full use of your eyes than have you rush to give us videos. Yes, I'm glad to see you back in the cab ... but I can take the videos on a slower schedule if it keeps your eyesight intact instead of jeopardizing your recovery and eyesight just to give us videos.
That heater sounds like a good upgrade. Have you ever considered redesigning the hydraulics so you can operate the carriage without the blade spinning?
