    I'm going through this stuff with you man. The weed isn't worth feeling like this. We can do this.

    I went through 4 episodes and quit. I'm on day 63 now. After smoking every day, all day for 15 years. Feel great. Can't imagine going back...never want to experience an episode again. Only cure for now is cessation of weed unfortunately. Consistent exercise and hydration is key. I hope you have stopped completely by now...your body is a temple, treat it as such.

      How long did it take for u to start feeling better and being able to eat full meals. I’m on day 8 and I feel like shit. I’ve lost 12 pounds already which is super upsetting. I’ve been on a workout journey since the beginning of 2022 and basically have lost all my progress. I just want to eat again

    • @TheDozin1
      @TheDozin1 2 года назад +2

      @@swagyguy1013 it took about a week for me to start eating regularly again. Hang in there, remember, consistency is the trick. Endure. I am at just over 1.5 years now. I am finding myself always looking up CHS to see if a cure has been developed but alas, not yet. Until then, we are not meant to be together.

    I subscribed and am showing your vids to my daughter,18, who has been battling CHS a year now. She started smoking socially, then used as self medicating anti-anxiety med, then as a help w nausea. Hospitalized 3x for a week each time. Vomits daily in am. On top line antacids. Zofran. Not eating normally. Lost 50# since start of this. Stops/slows weed intake for short period after hospital stays for severe dehydration/abd pain, but slowly creeps back up to normal intake. Currently in another episode. Going to have her join some CHS support groups on fb to see positive results of people who are going through same stuff. Thank you for sharing your story. Hope you are well.

    Vaporizer fucked me up. I only started smoking daily couple of months ago and now I have chs syndrome. I knew something was wrong and I did a little research and found out there are possibilities it might be it. I strongly believe that I developed this from using vaporizer. I am only suffering from bit of nausea and abdomen pain (stomach muscle tensing up). As of now, I am eating food (small portion) that are easy on stomach along with one teaspoon full of apple cider vinegar with honey and make tea. I also use heat pad to relieve pain. As of now, I completely stopped using. I cannot bear the pain and honestly there were times that I really wanted go to ER but I knew even if I go, nothing will change unless I change my habit..
    I just took kratom to make my pain go away
    (If you haven't tried, don't even think about trying it bc like you said. You have addictive personality so I don't want you to get hooked on this honestly)
    Fyi, My pain did go away by taking kratom.
    Anyways, I just wanted to share my story here to help. Hope you get well soon man and good luck to you.

    thank you for updating 💛 i’m sorry you’re still feeling kinda sick :/ i’ve been smoking again & smoked A LOT on xmas & xmas eve with my family & didn’t have any symptoms except maybe like a suuuper slight nausea like u said at a certain point in the day, which i’m thinking was from anxiety of worrying if it’ll make me sick. i still wake up in the morning with a stomach ache for the first like 3 mins but after i fully wake up i feel completely fine. have u ever thought it might be something like IBS + anxiety&depression and maybe the foods/sleep schedule have been adding to your symptoms? i know anxiety and depression combined can cause feelings of severe nausea in certain peoople(me definitely). i really am starting to think i might have IBS & i hear that’s exaggerated by stress and anxiety. i went to my GI a thursday or 2 ago and my biopsy says i have “reflux” too (didn’t say which kind) so i’m kinda thinking all of these combined might’ve been the reason for MY symptoms. have you seen a GI yet bro? these could very possibly be a reason for urs too. especially since u said ur shits have been weird lmao

      I feel like me and you are on the same page. Because smoking weed should not make you constipated or have any change in bowels. And certain foods can only make you constipated. For all the people saying its the weed is absolutely killing me because i smoked the whole time this was happening to me and im still smoking. Im just staying away from certain foods. Like dairy. What a lot of people don't know is food can cause a lot of things. Depending on genetics! I thought I might have IBS as well! Because of the symptoms. Thanks for the comment!

    • @JN-sq3do
      @JN-sq3do 5 лет назад

      Jeffrey Mckinney sad thing is the weed IS the cause for some people. maybe not u and i... we’ll find out eventually... but it has been said to cause delayed gastric emptying. i think it may also be possible to have all of these AND CHS at the same time for some ppl. you kinda just have to rule things out i guess. but just keep up w/ your diet and see how you feel after a while

    Just dont give up tobacco at the same time if you can help it, tobacco withdrawal is on another level to cannabis withdrawal, and you'll only do yourself over if you make yourself go through both at once

    I have a question for you and anyone else here with chs diagnosis. Did you or do you have any other illnesses prior to that weaken your immune systems? I quit smoking 6 months and bouts of pain throwing up n nausea were same. I just got out of a 12 day hospital stay and been home a week im gonna dehydrate again soon and end up right back there. Im on zoloft phenrogren and bentyl plus hydrocodone for pain. This is driving me insane. Its been a year of this. I also have kidney disease which they say my kidneys are fine. Its chs. Like they have tested for gastroparesis and everything else.

    • @thechsjournal3734
      @thechsjournal3734  5 лет назад

      Yikes. I’m so sorry you’re having bouts after quitting for 6 months. That’s very strange. Is it possible you are affected by the similar illness that is CVS(cyclic vomiting syndrome)?
      I did not have any health issues prior other than what I assumed was some harmless IBS. Played varsity sports in high school and served in the military just fine. I was treated with all the same things as well at first except I had a bad reaction to phenergan so that was a 1 time thing. I was prescribed bentyl for the stomach spasms which I no longer take. Also I’m surprised they gave you hydrocodone for the pain. That tends to worsen nausea and isn’t good for the kidneys. My GP prescribed me Pantaprazole which is an acid inhibitor but with recent information suggesting that lower acid levels could be complicating these problems, I’ve weened off the PPI (still in progress so can’t really give any results) and started taking the digestive enzymes people have reported success with. Probiotics, pancreatin and betaine HCL (or something that contains Ox bile). I take a multivitamin and make a conscious effort to constantly sip on Gatorade and water etc to keep from dehydration. I also have a Valium prescription to treat the panic attacks I now have.

      Megan Fleming hey absolutely! I’m always up for discussion. There’s not a lot of information available out there and the info that does exist tends to have some biased opinions from the medical community trying to say stop thc consumption for life and such. As a community though we should share our experiences and learn through each other.. so whenever you wanna talk about it just let me know. If you wanna make it private you can message me, whatever works.

    PLEASE HELP I've gotten high from marijuana multiple times daily for over a year and I have severe abdominal pain, but I have not experienced nausea or vomiting vomiting. The abdominal pain usually completely goes away when I'm in a hot bath, but it will come back as soon as I get out. The pain will extend to me chest and back sometimes and often seems to hurt more on my right side.. My digestive system seems to not be working properly, and I am experiencing chronic diarrhea, bloating, and sometimes constipation. I've been to the ER multiple times and nobody find anything wrong with me. I've researched everything it could be in an attempt to self-diagnose and I've concluded that I could have cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome without the nausea and vomiting. Any insight from someone more knowledgeable would be greatly appreciated

      Just giving you a hard time man, sorry to be so brash. I’m perhaps a lil cynical considering ive found myself in a similar boat. although i havent relapsed, ive been trying to find as many people’s accounts of their experience with CHS as possible. I’m a week off of any kind of marijuana, feeling pretty good but trying to see what other peoples experiences were with use after diagnosis.

    • @charleslarson5983

      I was admitted a week ago to the ER with all the telltale symptoms, although I had made a visit last November with similar symptoms but was never diagnosed. This time i got the attention i needed and found out what my fate was. I’m extremely happy that i feel normal again, but being able to decompress with weed after a long work day has been a very ritualistic and enjoyable part of my life for a while now. And that considering between november and now i had no symptoms, its daunting and perhaps just dumb but im hoping i can find a comfort zone where i can use in moderation without a relapse.
