From a standing start, the 720S will have less wheelspin because it has less torque. It's also rumoured to have a better launch control system. But after 60mph, the P1 should be overtaking it. Roll race doesn't need explanation. The 720S would need to weigh 1100kg to even match the power to dry weight ratio of the P1. Even then, the P1 still produces more power and torque. Torque is instant with the P1 as well. This is why I find it hard to believe that the 720S is quicker than the P1.
j n21t4 720 has fake stats to please p1 owners if not they found by far the most efficient tramsmission in the world because like 95% of power goes to wheels with the stats they gave compared to dynos

I don't know the conversions etc, but in that video he gets to 179mph in 1km and about 200mph very shortly afterwards! If you haven't seen it it's fascinating for the seemingly undiminished rate of acceleration over 150 all the way up to 200. Astonishing machine. Here's the vid, start from 1.17 for the straight line test: watch?v=bWmi7_LrjYY EDIT Ok, so 1km is 0.62 miles. So he hits about 180 in about 0.6 miles!
Thx for the tip. Lol. I was trying different modes. Wasn't there to make any type of point . These cars have been thoroughly tested. We know what they can and can't do.
+Jason . First run the p1 was not in race mode since it goes faster in a straight line in non race mode.. However, the event created non ideal conditions . Have to wait in line for 45 to 60 minutes and keep turning the car off and on at least six times before u do the actual run. Car is cold and so are the tires. In my first run which wasn't in race mode the car detected that I was going too fast for the tire pressures and tire temps. It then protected itself and slowed down my acceleration. I talked to Mclaren about this issue and they told me to put it in race mode which u see in this video. Reason for this is that even if the warnings start going off in race mode the car won't pull back and it will do what I want it to do. Once I got ideal conditions I then returned to non race mode because I knew the car wouldn't pull back on me. Nonetheless , I was trying to experiment for myself the different modes throughout the event
