      Thanks Alan, I enjoy how easy these Snappers are to operate and work on. It's a good backup rider and the bagger is a big plus as long as the belt doesn't wear out on it prematurely.

    The key to getting that cover off is to lower the deck all the way down. It comes off with ease after that.

    I have mower just liuke yours motor locked up around 2009. i put it in storage for two years then went to snapper place and bought new motor. Been using it ever since. Those mowers were built to last easy to lift up to take blade off and sharpen.

    The vibration is from the long length of belt not much you can do about that it's normal, if the deck is vibrating then you need to sharpen the blade and balance it, like I said clean the deck up b4 you put the cover on and grease it good.

    You might remember a very loyal fan. RUclips destroyed her and she was eventually reborn from the stars. But it took 2-years before she could return. And now as stellar as I can be, I shall be watching your video's once again. I am sure you've grown a lot in these years. Do you still buy your mowers wholesale from Walmart on pallets? The reason why the blade takes as long as it does to slow down is because your missing the blade brake, that comes on when you disengage the blade engager.... It's like a push mower brake on the flywheel.

    • @EllisMowersandmore
      @EllisMowersandmore  6 лет назад +2

      I had another one of these a few years ago that was around the same age that didn't have a blade brake either. Did they even put blade brakes on them back in the 80s?

    • @knighthawk86855
      @knighthawk86855 6 лет назад

      @@EllisMowersandmore yeah now you mention it I don't think they had a blade brake.... Guess what I just picked up a snapper rider very good condition a lot newer then this one, and it has a 14hp briggs on it.... A working pressure washer... And a older keystart toro rear dive mag deck mower all for 50 bucks, can't pass up a deal like that, guy was making room for his new zero turn Hustler, it was coming today, so got some great stuff to work on.

    • @EllisMowersandmore
      @EllisMowersandmore  3 года назад

      Your ID tag should be on the frame rail by the engine if it is still on there. I no longer have the mower so I'm unsure of model number. You should be able to go onto Snapper's website to find a manual for a similar mower.
