    This isn't meant to be a theory video, but it's one of those discussion/speculation hybrid videos I sometimes do.
    I still don't have any solid takes I'm fully convinced with about Luxord and Demyx, my suggestions in this video are purely speculation. But lately I've been thinking a good deal about Luxord. I have some new thoughts on him, so expect to see more on that soon.
    Initially, this video was going to be shorter, but right as I was about to render it, I got hit with the realisation about Player and Xehanort's connection, and from there I suddenly made a bunch of connections I'd never made before.
    Also, fun fact: I coincidentally released this video almost an exact year after the other "Key detail" video I did (it came out April 8th last year).

    I still put stock in the idea that Xemnas and Ansem (SoD), while certainly formed from Xehanort, are individuals beyond the boundaries of Xehanort. They may carry Xehanort's past and have knowledge of his 4D chess game, but they each also have their own desires and plans.
    Just look at the relationship between Sora and Roxas; the relationship between Xehanort and Xemnas would likely be similar. Both Nobodies were formed from a being that carried multiple hearts, and aspects of those hearts were all jumbled up so that someone new stepped out of the void. When Sora and Roxas rejoined, the two remained separate. Sora only received intangible imprints of Roxas' experiences.
    In this way, Xemnas would be free to believe that Xehanort's plan would fail, even if Xehanort himself did not expect or desire it.

    Just found this. I have and will maintain, some of the organization members are using transformed keyblades. We have seen all the different ways we can transform a keyblade into different shapes. One of the things on my wishlist for KH3 that didn't get fulfilled was seeing Larxene and Marluxia transforming their weapons. I still believe Luxu was using a keyblade transformed the entire time.
    It could have been cut content or it was simply a set up for Missing Link. It's also possible that we will see them in Quadratum. But that is all assuming Master Xehanort wasn't playing everyone. I'm inclined to think it was cut since the only thing we really see with interactions between Chirathy is during the ending cutscene.

  • @TalysAlankil
    @TalysAlankil 2 года назад +6

    My best guess (and it's based on very little) is that Xehanort will find out in Dark Road about MoM's plan (or at least some of it, since it seems he needed more info from Subject X), and since he knew that MoM had everything essentially written out until the Keyblade War via the Book of Prophecies (Luxu's secret reports imply that that is as far as the prophecies go), Xehanort decided to take on the villain role to bring about the KW and have contingencies in place for what comes next. He was very insistent about wanting to see what lay beyond the war, after all. Which is how these four people are involved.

    I also find particularly interesting is that one conversation between youngest xehanort and Xigbar in Hollow Bastion lab, where Young Xehanort reveals they have their own plan. If there's any version of Xehanort that is like to remember the events of Dark Road era, and before, it would be this version.

  • @Fragmentsinfractals488
    @Fragmentsinfractals488 2 года назад +4

    I think this has to do Xehanort knowing about Unreality. Xehanort knows Sora is to be send there, as the Darkness Memories of Xehanort's forms tells Kairi. This is why Master Xehanort struck her down.
    Demyx is likely a Prompto expy ( Noctis's friend) and Luxord is a Ignis exp (Noctis's driver). They are looking for a "Sora" to save their King, Yozora, who isn't who he is.
    Xemnas is setting up the next "Game" . ( the New Game Eraqus and Young Xehanort will play).
    Xigbar was probably whispering in Xemnas and Xehanort's ears so the Master of Masters can use the pieces he leaves behind.
    Also, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness admits in his death scene that he "knew they never stood a chance", as if at least he expected they were going to lose.

    That point you made about every version of Xehanort having a relationship with an ancient wielder was crazy. If you're right about YX, then yeah it fits that he'd be up next to play into that pattern, because it's true, how does Xemnas know about Demyx and Luxord? And yes, dark road is part of phase 2.. Hmm.
    I thought you would mostly discuss just Demyx and Luxord, but you tied it into a lot of things I didn't really expect, like even Subject X. The other scala is very interesting, but I don't know what to really make of it until we know where it fits into the timeline. Overall a great video. I think it's one of your best, and I enjoyed the editing.

    In regards to Luxord, the voice of the limousine driver in the LimitCut ending sounds and looks suspiciously like Luxord, so it's likely he's from Quadratum or wherever Yozora is from, or at least tied to Yozora in some way
    In regards to Demyx, if we follow from Luxord being linked to Yozora, and Yozora being a stand-in for Noctis (looking like him and having him and limo driver (Dolur?) recreate shot for shot a scene from one of the FFvs13 trailers (Noctis's original game concept)), then it's safe to assume Demyx (Myde? Dyme?) Is also linked to Yozora, probably as a stand-in for Noctis's Prompto (He even kind of resembles him tbh)
    Perhaps the gathering of Larx, Marly, Lux, and Demy was something Xemnas did behind Master Xehanort's back, or rather for his own purposes separate from Xehanort. It's somewhat implied that all the seekers of darkness, even to an extent Ansem and Xemnas, have distinct personalities, motivations, and sense of self

    The only assumptions I could make is a family type of thing relating these four to more important characters, or past and future characters linked by association.
    Assumption 1 - Marluxia's parents may be associated with Luxord's parents while Larxene and Demyx have the same parents. Idk just a guess.
    Assumption 2 - Marluxia' sister is in the future beyond the ancient keyblade legacy scene + Luxord with Yozora in the future. Demyx questionable but may be from the past + the backstory of Larxene.

      I know. I thought Elrena/Larxene is Demyx’s older sister based on their interactions (which feel a lot like an older sibling exasperated by their annoying younger sibling plus they have similar colored eyes when not possessed) but we never saw him at the end of Union Cross which has just left me confused. Nomura is clearly planning something with Demyx and Larxene’s relationship but what that is I’m stumped. I know Missing Link will focus on family and bloodlines so (hopefully) we’ll learn about Demyx’s history before he became a Nobody. Plus it would (hopefully) answer why they have similar if not the same eye color.

    Very good video!! One question we have to ask ourselves is why, when, and where did Xemnas recruit Demyx and Luxord? If Demyx and Luxord are not from the ancient past nor the world of reality, did they come from the fictional universe/world? If so, did Xemnas or Xehanort go to the fictional world and recruit them and why? Xemnas knows. I believe Xemnas and Xehanort know.

  • @dreqdreck7531

    What we do know is that their knowledge was completely unnecessary for Xehanort's plan since he went through with it without Xemnas getting any information out of them. Interrogating 2, maybe 4, amnesiacs about their past lives isn't exactly a smart plan.

  • @travisjones4689
    @travisjones4689 2 года назад +2

    He needed them to be defeated, in order for them to properly regain their memories; seems Xemnas knows more about Xehanort's past and his legacy, than we're ever made privy too.
    Also, the 13 darknesses from KH3 knew from the beginning they were all expendable - just like the lights, It mattered not whom survived the clashes as long as at least one darkness did; as Xehanort is within each of them. This whole fight was merely to get Kingdom Hearts summoned, and for old man Xehanort to get the true keyblad, and see if he was truly worthy to change the world... just as the MoM encouraged him.
    I think there's a side/version of Xehanort (perhaps Xemnas) that was aware he was bound to fail - or that the cycle would inevitably perpetuate itself, and cares more about what comes after - which is related to this "keyblade legacy"; and likely related to the original 13 dark beings that are talked about in the mobile games.

  • @hillaryslack2884
    @hillaryslack2884 2 года назад +2

    First off great points. This was very thought provoking.
    I personally don't think Xehanort is going to come back. At most a data version of him exists somewhere and will interact with enough people to get it's own heart, which would make him his own person and not really Xehanort. (like Riku Replica is his own person and other copies that become their own people)
    As for why Lauriam, Elrena, Demyx, and Luxord didn't show their Legacy yet. As you said Xehanort wasn't really planing on losing as...finally...as he did. Lauriam and Elrena both show signs of regaining their memories in their final moments. Likely do to something Xehanort did. Because if it was simply getting defeated they would have shown signs in CoM. Something about being re completed in KH3 was different then the first time.
    If all four are characters that Xehanort knows about which I admit hadn't accord to me. Then that is kind of a point against my thoughts that Demyx might be the true Dandelion. Because the only way that Xehanort would know about the True Dandelion is if he found out through second hand information. That said Demyx is the only one of the four that Xehanort kept out of the battle and that might be seen as protective. After all Xemnas was unbelieving that the Guardians put someone as valuable as Kairi on the battle front. And if we look at the other benched member Even, he is the only one who can make new replicas(if given more time). So Demyx might have gotten benched because he was to important to put on the battle field.

  • @mirandagoldstine8548
    @mirandagoldstine8548 2 года назад +4

    Demyx is definitely a mystery. I was banking on him being Elrena/Larxene’s brother due to them sharing similar features and their bickering (which reminds me a lot of my brother and I) but after the finale without seeing any sign of Demyx or Elrena even mentioning Demyx’s somebody by name I felt like the sibling theory was debunked. They clearly knew each other even before joining Organization 13 based on their bickering and the fact they have the same eye color (when not possessed) is pretty creepy. And I’m not the first to notice it, a person on Tumblr actually noticed the shared features between Larxene and Demyx and posted about it. If Demyx turns out to be the master of masters then I don’t know how I’ll feel. Confused perhaps.

    • @NextGenNovelist
      @NextGenNovelist  2 года назад +4

      I really don't think Demyx is MoM, especially since if he was I don't see why he'd need Luxu to be watching over everything for him, as well as other reasons people have gotten into. At this point I'm leaning more towards Demyx and Luxord being from unreality, the other scala, or from the master of master's time from before Chi (I'm almost convinced Luxord is from that time now). With Luxord I was going to make a video on him and explain this, but I'm struggling to make that video comprehensive enough. But I think Luxord could be more ancient than even Luxu is. Demyx I really just have no real idea. Nomura seems to be making his origins extremely difficult to figure out, which is probably a large part of the reason people believe he's MoM

    • @mirandagoldstine8548
      @mirandagoldstine8548 2 года назад +2

      @@NextGenNovelist Same here. It just doesn’t fit Demyx. All his actions say he wouldn’t want to hurt anyone. I mean he even says he wants friends and the Master seems to want to hurt people in order to fulfill his goal (which is very twisted by the way). Then again Larxene’s personality when she was Elrena seems quite different but I’m chalking it up to her becoming jaded. Never thought of Luxord being from roughly the MoM’s childhood though. Maybe they knew each other. If so then I suspect Luxord will have some interesting words for the Master.

    Hm... what if the perspective here is flipped? What if its not them being part of a legacy they don't remember that's the plan, but instead for them to remember in the act of being defeated? They aren't exactly the strongest players on the board here and its not hard to see that, so realizing that they'd lose isn't a huge reach for the bad guys here. So in that case, what is the significance of remembering their past for so little time they barely have the a minute to say their farewell? Well, if time isn't a problem here, then what if time is the *goal*? Time travel as it stands in this series needs two things in order to work: A medium for your body when you arrive, and someone to be there that remembers you. What if the point of them fighting was a sort of suicide memory time bomb in order to bring someone in at just the right time in order to act as a fall back for later if they lose? A time-travel bomb if you will. The question then would just be who do they all know, that no one else including Xemnas doesn't, but he'd be told how relevant it would be anyway to go through with the plan. Who would be important enough to bring forward with them acting as tribute?

      This is such an interesting take and I would absolutely love if it turned out to be true. It's exactly the sort of mad twist I could see happening with this series.
      But yeah the only trouble is figuring out who they all know, especially since now it seems pretty certain Luxord and Demyx aren't from the Age of fairytales. So if they're in Missing Link and/or Quadratum, it'd have to be someone that all of them could have met, but Xemnas doesn't know himself, and right now the only option I'm seeing is Ava simply cos we have no idea where she is or where she's been (personally still think she's Kairi's grandma), but why would Xehanort/Xemnas care about her?

    Xamnes doesn't think the same way xenhort does. Idk why no one will acknowledge that old man and nobody did not think the same ever.

    We need Mansex back for KH4, have him voice Young Xehanort or something Idc. Just don't leave us in a world where Xemnas VA leaves ths series.

    You know what bothers me about Xemnas’s explanation? Xigbar/Luxu isn’t included in his list with the ancient keyblade legacy. Why is he excluded?

      A good question, but the simple answer is that he didn't know him. He didn't know who MoM was, and he wouldn't know about the Foretellers either, at least not enough.
      Dark Road actually confirmed a part of this video which is that his desire to search for "his friends" is why he ended up finding Ventus, and I'm sure it's also how he found the others too, which of course implies there's some past relationship with Demyx and Luxord that either he or the Player (Missing Link) had with them

      @@NextGenNovelist Yeah. There is something very mysterious about Demyx. We have no clue on how he and Larxene/Elrena know each other, we have no clue on his real name, where he came from or how he connects with the ancient keyblade legacy. Honestly if we don’t see Demyx’s somebody in Missing Link then I will be completely stumped. I mean like I said I was banking on him and Larxene being brother and sister based on their relationship but after Union Cross I’m hoping we’ll get an explanation on what Larxene’s relationship with Demyx is as well as his true name and where his connection with the keyblade legacy comes from. Luxord we think has some tie to Quadratum (there is the fact Yozora’s driver in English sounds a good deal like Luxord’s English voice actor) so I think he’ll make some appearance. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we learn about Demyx’s past.
      As to how he found Larxene and Marluxia aka Elrena and Lauriam I thought it was implied Xigbar aka Braig aka Luxu brought them to Xenohart at one point. I would need to double check but I think a different RUclipsr mentioned that. Or maybe it was a person on Tumblr. Honestly I could be misremembering facts.

      You're right about how they were recruited, but it's more how did he know to recruit them basically. Xemnas asks them why they think he picked them specifically to be 9 - 12, and it's because of their legacy. Dark Road confirms one of my thoughts from this video that Xehanort was looking for all of them specifically (except maybe Elrena, which I did even make a little joke about as well lol. But I guess he knew she was a Dandelion anyway), so that links with why they were picked because of their legacy.
      Still waiting on the two Missing Links in this whole equation
      Also, how would you feel if it turned out Sigurd becomes Demyx

      @@NextGenNovelist I knew I wasn’t making stuff up. Hmm did Luxu know Lauriam and Elrena would be perfect for Xenohart’s plans? Ah so many unanswered questions so little time.

      @@NextGenNovelist I honestly don’t know. I have never heard Demyx’s Japanese voice so I can’t compare his voice to Sigurd’s voice in the Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailer (yes a couple of people have determined the person speaking is Sigurd) so I have no freaking clue if this is the right theory. Sorry for getting back so late on this question. Mostly I have been watching various other RUclips channels to keep myself from getting bored both Kingdom Hearts related and non Kingdom Hearts related. That and I am finishing up school and will be working on my masters and I’m also volunteering at a local historic house as an archivist in training/trainee curator. So yeah I have been busy.
