I play Magus of the Unseen all the time. My favorite story was taking control of someone's Sword of the Animist so if they attacked I would get to ramp the land instead of them.
I play an Eight-and-a-Half-Tails deck that tries to include as many of these kinds of old weird effects as possible, yet somehow it actually kinda works. Shoutouts to Wall of Glare, Portcullis, Peace Talks, Peacekeeper, Bubble Matrix and the win con of Near-Death Experience + Ethereal Champion
Love little videos like this to help expose folks to just random cards that would get hidden in a chaff bin otherwise. Keldon Twilight is the real winner for me today. Been building a "Negan, Cold Blooded" Commander Deck, and have seen it get some opponents down to 0 creatures on board. This would be a great way to prevent them from just dropping one creature alone as blocker on their following turn. It couldn't attack because of summoning sickness? Tough luck. You lose it. And I'll get a treasure for it!
I just turn out to have a blue/Red/Black/White lurrus as a companion artifact aristocrats deck. I was not expecting to find a good card here, however magus of the unseen is amazing

That's a great place for that card! I am hoping to do more videos like this, but I have to go hunting for the cards first, maybe!
Don't forget Order of the Sacred Torch's counterpart, Stromgald Cabal.

I think you should make more of these
I had fun with it, so I will try to do more!
Psychic Trance is incredibly funny to me as a Yu-Gi-Oh player. Turns all of your monsters into omni-negates for a turn and somehow it's just mid.
I need to pick up a Psychic Trance just for the art.
You helped a lot with those suggestions. Very oldschool. Like that a lot. Thanks!
It was fun to look at cards from long before I started playing. I never ran into most of them naturally.
Arena of the ancients is a auto include for all the edh decks with a non agressive commander who trigger, thx!!!
Telepathy is funny af
Whirlwind denial is aloy better than psychic trance
Oh yeah. By a long shot. But most of these cards are bad 😂
