Where to find Shed Antlers - Search Along Deer Trails & Recent Buck Rubs

Male Whitetail Deer shed their antlers during the winter months. You can find the sheds, along deer trails, like we did - along side this buck rub from the previous fall. As the bucks grow older, usually the shed antlers grow in size. This small shed was likely from a yearling. Shed antlers provide food for squirrels, mice, fox, coyotes and other animals that consume the antlers, especially when forage or prey are hard to find.
