Queen Brood Honey - June Honey Bee Hive Inspection Results

It's been 2 months since we placed a 3-lb package of bees into our hive. Sadly, I believe my original queen and a lot of the hive swarmed in mid-May, while I was on a trip thousands of miles away.
Opening the hive in mid-June, we discover that the brood pattern is rather spotty. The queen is laying eggs and there is some brood, however, this is not the strong pattern we've seen from other queens and hives over the years.
We've shuffled the frames to better fill two complete deeps, and we're hopeful that the current queen or a new queen (if the queen cells produce a new queen) will perform better. Such is the life in the beekeeping biz.
