Little guide for mulligans and 1st turn draws in non house rules settings... 1st turn draw Yes = If you have more opponents than teammates(you count yourself) No = If the number of your opponents equals your teammates (counting yourself) Mulligans If you are playing games as best of 1, then all player have the option to take 1 mulligan with no penalty. If you are playing a best of 3, 5, 99, etc, then mulligan follow normal rules(no freebies) Hope that helps
Man, Abhorsen is an amazing choice I read those books as a (way to young) child And it was amaaaazing. Bells, Rivers, Undead. Honestly, I don't remember that much more about it. I should reread those. See if they hold up.

This was an awesome episode, I sensed ZERO tension or aggression between anyone *cough* cgb and PK *cough* (just kidding, CGB was very gracious about his thrashing, even though his face turned into a tomato!) Gameplay was awesome, Glad you guys missed the Golden Throne trigger so JAJAM could keep their channel! PLEASE bring them back for more episodes!

Abhorsen stuff which I have listen to the audio books some on car rides (my mom, a librarian, loves the book). But from the little I know and understand would be amazing in MTG. I also don't know a whole lot, aside from it being dragons, but Dragon Riders of Pern, another favorite of my Mom's, would be cool in MTG too.

For Cascade, here is rule: 702.85a: Cascade is a triggered ability that functions only while the spell with cascade is on the stack. "Cascade" means "When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card whose mana value is less than this spell's mana value. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost if the resulting spell's mana value is less than this spell's mana value. Then put all cards exiled this way that weren't cast on the bottom of your library in a random order." For calculating mana value: 202.3e: When calculating the mana value of an object with an {X} in its mana cost, X is treated as 0 while the object is not on the stack, and X is treated as the number chosen for it while the object is on the stack." Which means that when Cascade triggers, X is included, since the spell with Cascade is still on the stack, and that trigger gets put on top of the actual spell with the Cascade trigger(s). And for the purposes of resolution, it then becomes Last In, First Out.
that mono black precon is pretty strong. I don't think it will take alot of money to upgrade it to be insanely strong. the question is just, what commander do you use from it? I think the strongest is obviously "Trazyn the Infinite" which is the one that gets all abilities from all artifacts in your graveyard, so, you cast one buried alive with him out and it's game over, you pitch Palladium Myr and Pili-pala and walking ballista with it, which let you tap and untap your commander to make infinite black and then you blast them with walking ballista's ability. Buried alive gets you 3 creatures in your yard. So Trazyn is insane. the storm lord is actually very fun, when you either resurrect an artifact creature or exile it from your yard you get a 2/2. All the commanders from that mono-black precon are good. One is better than the others though.
Two-headed giant with 4 people is essentially just a duel. In my opinion this format is best used when more than 4 people want to play together. I have had gamea with as many as 8 players and it went great.
I kept losing it a J&J's play names. Old Nantucket Sawmill! I would totally love to see another Dungeons and Dragons set centered around the Dragonlance setting. Does that count as Universes Beyond? They already did Transformers, so I am set there. I think Eilidh's suggestion of Dragonball Z would work as a set like they did with Transformers. Edit: Would your Thunderhawk have even survived combat on the turn you died had you used the Golden Throne? I think you would have still pulled it off though. BTW, the Necron deck is incredibly cool and I have loved playing it.

that mono black precon is pretty strong. I don't think it will take alot of money to upgrade it to be insanely strong. the question is just, what commander do you use from it? I think the strongest is obviously "Trazyn the Infinite" which is the one that gets all abilities from all artifacts in your graveyard, so, you cast one buried alive with him out and it's game over, you pitch Palladium Myr and Pili-pala and walking ballista with it, which let you tap and untap your commander to make infinite black and then you blast them with walking ballista's ability. Buried alive gets you 3 creatures in your yard. So Trazyn is insane. the storm lord is actually very fun, when you either resurrect an artifact creature or exile it from your yard you get a 2/2. All the commanders from that mono-black precon are good. One is better than the others though.
both Trazyn the Infinite as well as Imotekh the Stormlord are strong commanders for the deck, each enabling their own infinite combos.

Two-headed giant with 4 people is essentially just a duel. In my opinion this format is best used when more than 4 people want to play together. I have had gamea with as many as 8 players and it went great.

I kept losing it a J&J's play names. Old Nantucket Sawmill! I would totally love to see another Dungeons and Dragons set centered around the Dragonlance setting. Does that count as Universes Beyond? They already did Transformers, so I am set there. I think Eilidh's suggestion of Dragonball Z would work as a set like they did with Transformers.
Edit: Would your Thunderhawk have even survived combat on the turn you died had you used the Golden Throne? I think you would have still pulled it off though. BTW, the Necron deck is incredibly cool and I have loved playing it.
I wouldn't have crewed it had I remembered the Throne. Silly me!
