- No doubt, pizza is one of the most popular foods around the world, and of course sometimes you may want to pair it with wine. Generally fresh, fruity and juicy red wines, such as Chianti, Barbera or Valpolicella will do. But I think that we should pair wine with pizza toppings, which can be so many and different. In this video I will discuss what wines to choose with some of the most popular pizza toppings:
1) Spicy toppings such as pepperoni, chilli or salami;
2) The “classic” - Margherita;
3) Mushrooms and ham (prosciutto);
4) Quattro formaggi (four cheeses);
5) Anchovies.

Hello Agnese its the big guy from Winnipeg! This is the sweetest pizza and wine video ever. You and your sweet doggy. So precious.
Great video about food and wine pairings. I agree that the toppings can change which wine would pair best.
Thank You! 🍇 If I may ask, what is Your “go to wine” with pizza?
@@NoSediment Generally I would say Chianti. But lately I've been into pistachio and mortadella pizza and I like Grillo with that.
@@EricZeak That is one pizza I have never tasted. I would also go for Chianti with classical pizza toppings.
I love your Vizsla! That was my childhood dog growing up. Beautiful animals.

Thank you very much for sharing information with us. I would suggest you to read about Zinfandel. Originally Zinfandel comes from Balkan.
Best regards from Mediterranean!
Thank You! If I am not mistaken Zinfandel is a genetically identical grape to Croatian grape Tribidrag. But vines tend to express characteristics differently in different environments. Cheers, hope You enjoyed it. ✨🥂🍾
Scientists from Montenegro are trying to prove that this grape variety (Kratošija) was actually planted here in Montenegro, and was than extended to Croatia and Italy where is named Crljenak Kaštelanski and Primitivo.
I also want to recommend Kadarka or Skadarka and Zilavka, two domestic sorts of grape that could be very interesting to you!
