- Bing Crosby did this song in quite a country style and it's quite surprising that not many country artists have actually recorded the song. I can only think of Jim Reeves although of course there may be others. I think it's a lovely, meaningful song with great sentiments. Also recorded by Perry Como and Dinah Shore, Marty never cut the song, but if this version is anything to go by it's a great shame he didn't.
Apologies for the sound quality, but there's not much I can do about it, just turn up the volume and enjoy that great voice doing full justice to a wonderful song.

Thanks for your kind comments sir. I have the Reeves version, but Crosby's is the best recorded version in my opinion. Such a pity Marty never actually cut this in a studio..

Hello #tarquin45, I wish there was a message feature still, but here I go. I was wondering if you could point me somewhere where I can get a FULL list of Marty's songs, hopefully one that includes songs he only sang live... and also a full list of those songs written BY Marty. I want to have them all. The list I made is between 660 and 670 songs, that's including the little renditions of about one minute of several songs he sang on his TV shows. I'm having a hard time finding a handful of those songs, and I'm having a hard time coming up with a list of the songs penned by him. Websites on him are no longer running, you and M.R. Enterprises on Facebook are my only hope. Any pointers? Thank you all the way from Montevideo, Uruguay.
