DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE
I LOVE THOSE DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE
WHO LIVE IN MY HOME TOWN
BECAUSE THOSE DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE
WILL NEVER EVER LET YOU DOWN
THEY READ THE GOOD BOOK FROM "FRI" TILL MONDAY
THAT'S HOW THE WEEKEND GOES
I'VE GOT A DREAM HOUSE I'LL BUILD THERE ONE DAY
WITH PICKET FENCE AND RAMBLING ROSE
I FEEL SO WELCOME EACH TIME THAT I RETURN
THAT MY HAPPY HEART KEEPS LAUGHING LIKE A CLOWN
I LOVE THE DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE
WHO LIVE AND LOVE IN MY HOME TOWN
HERE'S A PLACE I'D LIKE TO BE
AND THE FOLKS I'D LIKE TO SEE
WHERE YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS SMILE AND SAY HELLO
IT'S A PLEASEURE AND A TREAT
TO MEANDER DOWN THE STREET
THAT'S WHY I WANT THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD TO KNOW
I LOVE YOUR DEAR HEARTS YOU GENTLE PEOPLE
WHO LIVE IN MY HOME TOWN
BECAUSE THOSE DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE
WILL NEVER EVER LET ME DOWN
YOU READ THE GOOD BOOK FROM "FRI" TILL MONDAY
THAT'S HOW THE WEEKEND GOES
I'VE GOT A DREAM HOUSE I'LL BUILD HERE ONE DAY
WITH PICKET FENCE AND RAMBLING ROSE
I FEEL SO WELCOME EACH TIME THAT I RETURN
THAT MY HAPPY HEART KEEPS LAUGHING LIKE A CLOWN
I LOVE YOUR DEAR HEARTS YOU GENTLE PEOPLE

"I love your dear hearts, you gentle people" That was sweet.
I like this song, this is when men could dance together and nothing was said.
This version should've been on new vegas, such a banger
I saw Gene Autry and Champion onstage in Mobile, Alabama when I was 5 years old…in 1948…
Da war ich noch nicht auf der Welt. Seine Musik ist super 👍.
I love the guy smiling behind Gene Autry xD
Yes... the whole band is very supportive in that way ! They are all participating in the joy of the moment... and, that's something nice to see, too ! Really helps the spirit of the song come through :)
I enjoy seeing my dad and the other Cass County Boys here! Thank you so much for posting this.
Clear, melodious and distinctive voice. Have loved Gene ever since I was a kid in San Francisco. Movies on television on Saturday afternoons and was always reminded about his ownership of KSFO, the flagship radio station of our San Francisco Giants.
What a great talent. Where are these sort of people to-day.
Old European and American culture is so beautiful.
Great song and he nails it with simplicity
I love the way gene autry sings this song
Heartwarming
Just love all his songs!!!!!!
fallout 3!!
Fallout 3 should never be the first thing when you listen to this just come on it is gene autry not fallout 3
Should never be the first thing you think
Sean Baker I discovered this song because of Fallout 4
@@saulty-4726 yea okay buddy
wow those hand claps are so off beat
You do realize there's other races who don't have rhythm to save their own life right ? Lol
It's dubbed
His voice is great but I personally I prefer Bob Crossby.
Great song. This is overdubbed and they are lip synching to their own recording . They are playing guitar chords in the key of C Major but the sound is in Eb Major.
Well... for the visuals C was better. Somewhow, strumming away in the key of Eb is simply not the 'cowboy way' ! ;))
The song’s really good but for some reason the way everyone’s acting in this scene is really disturbing to me and I don’t know why
Was blessed to receive an autographed photo of Gene mounted on Champ and dated in 1991
Hello Jo, how are things going with you?
His voice is great.
Great performance.
After WWII obviously many things changed. I compared some music pre 40's and post 40's and there is a great gap in the way the songs were sung, with less intonation and joy, accept elvis
Second version of this I'm hearing :) love them both but until today I only knew about the Bob Crosby version
Bing, also sings this on one of his early television shows... and Jim Reeves' also makes is shine !! It's a great song, indeed ! ;D
時代を感じる。
No match for him!
Hello Olivia, how are things going with you?
00:38 XD i wanna punch out the guy dressed in black with the skinny black cigaret
Obviously a bad guy
