I love that you're comparing each opposite from the same quadra because it makes for more truth about the differences between the axes and especially that's it's JxxJ with JxxJ and PxxP with PxxP because there's less outlandish claims if they're both of the same conceptual framework. Introverts and are still Introverts and vice versa.. Neither is better, we need both.
Well, scientifically speaking you can’t inhale the fist unless it actually goes into the mouth and down the throat. I’m not the personality type that was talking about science. I’m INFP (the crier lol) and I just love science.
There is something else that is true though that interconnects all of us. But people wouldn’t like to think about that one. Cuz it’s kinda disgusting to think about.
I'm like the ISTP when I interact with my younger ENFJ sister. - INTP …And with the INTP situation, I may show signs of anger (and possibly aggression) if someone seriously tried setting me up with a randomer.
I'm an INFP and I think the personalities I can't stand are xSTx. Have you met an ESTJ? I felt irrationally angry then found out later he was that type.
I m an INFP and my best male friend is an ESTJ (never got bored with him even a bit, it took us some years to adapt to each other but then it became one of the best relationships i ve ever had!! ). And now I ve been 11 years married to an ESTP, and despite we dont share interests, we share actions and feel always strongly attracted to each other and it s like we compensate and know each other so well, he teaches me to be practical, down to earth, and I give him peace and thinking over the essence of things, among way more. I have to add that what has though, given more in life to achieve peace and happiness and meaning is rrgular meditation. Now I remember the feeling I had when dating other INFP; like we got bored with each other, both of us felt helpless with each other mental “mambos” ... like being with someone who doesn t get into that kind of things help you to stop feeding drama.
I have a frenemy who is ESTJ. She's so nice to me when she needs something, but most of the time she thinks I'm over sensitive, full of delusion and too clumsy. But ofc, not all of ESTJs like that.
"I'm crying because this movie is so stupid it doesn't even make any sense" I'm crying because this is the most accurate description of me watching stupid movies
Funny enough, I spend half the time watching movies complaining about how inaccurate they are. Actually, the only movies I’m usually fine with are the animated ones, since it’s already so unrealistic that I don’t care anymore, and actually enjoy the movie.
Reminds me of the imdb review on Avengers Endgame when that guy was crying not because iron man died but because he wasted his money watching this movie
Hey look an INFP that actually lets their feelings escape! Then, regrets it instantly. Well, he’ll learn his lesson. Bottle that stuff up and use it for your novel that will be published posthumously.
@@mayconreyes3446 not necessarily. It depends on more than just letters. It depends on the percentages of those letters, whether or not you are also assertive vs turbulent, and how you were raised (like parental/societal/cultural expectations you grew up with). Crying is not the sole being of INFP, lol.
INFJ: break their backs to help, high empathy makes us accidentally try to turn the focus on ourselves when really we're just relating, and now we're the ones still left with issues. Yup. My life.
As an INFJ, i often feel that people's problems get dumped on me a lot or that they expect me to somehow help them because i have done so previously. Because i don't like leaving things unsolved and the easiest way to be left alone is to help them. But all i really want is to not think of problems in this life and exist in some higher plane where i can just be.
@SUBCRIBE TIKTOK SMA & SMP GUNUNG GEDE UPDET HARIAN well it's easy for us, but INFJs don't want to be mean or selfish or whatever. but I do feel like people are taking advantage of my infj hubby and stealing our quality time from us with their bs.
Yeah... the worst thing though is when you have someone with a history of dumping horrible things on you regularly, and every time they contact you, they start the fricking message with "Hey. It's important"
🙂🙂🙂 wow I realized that people have always dumped their problems on me too and I do not like it one bit usually but can't do anything else but help lol
I actually thought the ESFJ would be more cringe. At least thar INTP has a good friend looking out to find the things missing in life. Im an INTP too, and what limits us most is exposure to new opportunities.
I’m INFP and my wife is ESTJ and we’ve literally have had that exact conversation over and over and over… every time, she tries to make me “feel better” by trying to get me to do some productivity life hack. Every. Damn. Time. Love her to death because she can still function when my feels get too much, and I can encourage her to feel when her backlog of feelings she doesn’t pay attention to finally clog her up completely… we definitely complement each other 😅
0:00 ISFJ and ENTP 0:14 ESFJ and INTP 0:39 ISTJ (me) and ENFP 1:01 ENTJ and ISFP 1:24 INTJ and ESFP 1:49 ISTP and ENFJ 2:20 ESTJ and INFP 2:46 INFJ and ESTP I don’t know if this is true, but I feel like I’m starting to see more sensors over here
As an infj, the last clip was accurate. Most of my friends get bored when I get to a topic. It's kinda sad, but it's ok..not everyone has ears to listen to a lot of information🙂. People often tell me to cut short my sentences 😂.. I wish if I ever meet someone with whom I can bounce my ideas when I feel like talking 🙂🙂
@@alanaglaser7695 Yeah, xSTJs are authoritarian AF. - INTJ Edit: I apologize for anyone who was hurt by my observation/joke. This is a highly stereotypical behavior and you're likely to be aware of that.
As an INTJ guy, the dynamic I have with my ESFP best friend is pure sitcom material and the skit portrays it so accurately that it might as well be a real conversation that I've had with him lmao
The INTJ one is so good though, like it doesn't matter how spontaneous we are, I will make it fit into my plans regardless and if something happens that isn't part of the plan, I will make a new plan.
For me (INTJ), this only manifests in serious situations like going to court or if I've decided to compete against someone. On vacation, I'm more like the opposite dude (ENTP).
Well the thing is we don't actually what spontaneous means, our spontaneous ideas manifest as a new template to the plan using the space of another block.
*screams like a fangirl* I wish I could see that happening. INTJ and ESFP interactions seems so cool. They're my second fav dynamic. I wanna see more of them :'D
You have no idea how easy it is to trigger my ENFJ father. If he is going on about his self-righteous thoughts about me not socializing or harmonizing the mood, I simply have to say "didn't ask, don't care". It would immediately make him rage lol. One time, I was busy trying to type a report and he suddenly barged into my room and dragged me to the sitting room to happily greet my relatives. I acted really irritated because of this so I gave him a stink eye in front of everyone before doing what I was asked. He was so triggered about my action and had a "talk" with me afterwards. 🙄
I’m an INTJ and most of the people I hung out with are ENFPs. This usually happens, I make a plan, they do whatever the f they want, and I have a second plan for every random, none sense, stupidly risky idea they usually have. We are all still alive, I think we work great.
I think ENFPs are good companions to INTJs because they seem to be immune/oblivious to the INTJs cold stares and lack of outwardly expressed enthusiasm. ENFPs bring enough energy and enthusiasm for the both of them, and INTJs help keep them from doing something absolutely crazy.
So what I’m getting is ENFJ: existential and aggressive INFJ: existential and sad. No one really understands either of them but they just handle it with either more or less energy.
As an INFJ with an ENFJ brother, this is quite true. We tend to have very similar opinions and values, but he gets very intense and bull-dozery when talking about them, while I keep calm and try to explain what I think in a relatable way.
I’m an INTJ female with an ESFP male friend. I once agreed to going out and getting boba with him, just a casual and simple plan. Ended up staying for 4 more hours at a completely different place.
ESFP female dating an INTJ male, he is no longer surprised that I go to meet one friend at a bar at 7pm and end up in someone else's house at 5am talking about North Korea. Previously he'd worry I'd been kidnapped.
@@staffan- Wouldn't their most similar types be themselves? Because technically the most similar type to an ISFP, for example, could be ESFP *or* INFP *or* ISTP *or* ISFJ, they're all equally similar to an ISFP, so that doesn't make a lot of sense (I know I'm annoying)
@@stevesoprano8113 Basically just change the introversion and extraversion and they'll have the samw cognitive functions. ;) Not annoying, but interesting!!!!
@@stevesoprano8113 I wouldn't agree that a type is equally similar to every type that only differ in one category. When looking at the cognitive functions, two types can be very different despite sharing 3 out of 4 letters. For example are INTJ and ISTJ not very similar. I think it is usually argued that personality types that share the same dominant cogintive function are the most similar. If so, INTJ is most similar to INFJ (sharing introverted intuition) and ISTJ most similar to ISFJ (sharing introverted sensing). But ultimately, I would with a warm hand leave it up to Frank James to determine the pairings. 😁 But yes, I agree that every type is most similar to itself. So to be more precise it would be "each personality type interacting with their most similar type other than themselves". And as an ISTJ I don't find you annoying at all, it is excellent with a discussion based on logic. Also, I am by no means well versed in psychology, so if my arguments don't hold up please tell me so!
@@staffan- Oh okay, I guess you're right then, I didn't really think about the cognitive functions, I just noticed that in the video he took a personality and paired them with the one who had opposite letters. So I figured it was impossible to do it the other way around.
me, ENFP, with my ISTJ best friend: always like that, but we find each other's differences cute & entertaining so the "okayy" is more like "lol i knew it, good one" i like ISTJs.
I mean it works for us. 1. Feelings start to feel. 2. They are annoying and inconvenient to deal with because they lower productivity. 3. We put them in the "emotions" jar together with all our other feelings from probably 13 years ago and hope they get over themselves and disapear. 4. We forget about them and continue to live on. 5. Fin.
Just had a conversation with my ISTJ sister yesterday almost exactly like this. I told her I was perpetually unhappy and doubted I would ever be content with my life, simply by nature of my personality and who I am. She stared at me, baffled, and asked, "I don't understand why you won't just... be happy." I'm an INFP btw 😂
ST in general aren’t the best at helping people solve emotional problems, you can talk to them about certain things but I try to avoid conversations about your more emotional side of yourself, cause they won’t help
Lol my mom's an istj and when my sister feels sad she's literally like "if ur sad just smile" :D Idk what my sister's type is but as an infp it really gets on my nerves 💀👎
the INFJ one could not get more relatable. i always feel like there is no one to listen to me jabbering on about all the things I have to say and it feels like what I think is dumb and useless but it really captivates me. but I'm always there to listen when they need to talk. we're just really misunderstood people.
Me (INFP) and my ESTJ boyfriend on a daily basis: Him: Why does nobody like me? Why does nobody work with me? Me: Because you're rude to them all the time. Him: But we need to keep up the project! Why is everybody so lame! Me: They're not lame, they're scared of you. Give them more time and space! Not everybody is a working robot like you are! Him: But I don't understand them! Me: I don't understand you! 😂
(look its me oversharing- :")) Please skip my comment if you can aaa) idk about other people but Ive found a way to stop thinking too much- For some reason my brain follows what I say. Ive once told it to stop certain habits that I didnt like, after half a day I usually stop doing it. The cool part is the fact that im not conscious of the fact that im not supposed to do it, thats when I know that its my brains doing. Ive done it quite a few times tho and my brain never fails to dissapoint me :D. So then, I told my brain to stop myself from thinking too much and thinking about the big "what ifs" in the world- and it worked! tho the consequences are being literal to stuff and being dumb most of the time .-. (since I cant exactly "think"? more like I refuse to now since its annoying. tho thats just in certain situations. Those consequences Have lessened over time. a couple months to be exact) so I can get a good nights sleep without worrying about anything :)). I do think sometimes at night but its not enough to stop me from sleeping early
I’m an ISTP and my sister is an ENFJ, she’s the kind to make sure everyone’s in a good mood at the family reunion and I’m either standing alone or arguing with my uncle at the dinner table. It’s pretty funny, on the ride back home I’ll hear about how just as miserable she was but just does a better job at hiding it. I think under certain circumstances the types and their opposites have a lot in common, one is just the unaddressed, unspoken and suppressed side of the other.
interestingly, you're pretty spot-on with that observation. the types and their "opposites" DO have a lot more in common than you'd think; according to the cognitive function theory behind the MBTI, "opposite types" actually share the exact same cognitive functions but in the exact opposite order. your "opposite" type, i.e. the ENFJ, has your least developed functions as their most developed, and vice-versa. this makes the ENFJ your subconscious type slash aspirational personality type. that's where your "one is just the [....] suppressed side of the other" comment hits the mark. so, essentially, calling them "opposites" isn't even an accurate description, because you'd think that your "opposite" must be the type you have no cognitive functions in common with whatsoever. but well, in terms of letters, i guess labelling the ISTP and the ENFJ as "opposites" is a functional convenience.
My best friend is ISTP and that was sooo accurate 😂 “not really but okay” is totally something they’ve said many times before, in that tone, at that type of thing.
I'm an ENFP who collects unusual coins not for their potential collector's value, but because I think they're cool and must have them. Then again, I do experience the same exact tendencies when I play open-world games.
@@Takisan111 In Skyrim, both books and shiny things are everywhere and quickly fill up my carrying capacity. It fuels a love/hate relationship with that game because I need them all for no practical reason.
@@Chigger I had that problem in Oblivion. I always need to get a house quickly just so I have somewhere to stash my stuff. After a while, I have so much stashed in my cupboards that the game starts lagging when I simply open it. Which is shocking because I have 3 spots for different items. One for books, one for rare and magical items, and one for potions making. There's too much tempting stuff in that game.
Infps just living their life peacefully: oh hey Crazy person: hey how are you? Infp: i i'm feeling a bit down today Crazy person: have you try not feeling down? Infp: I wanna go home
The part from 0:13 to 0:38 was exactly what happened in 1st year med school between my husband (INTP) and his best friend (ESFJ). He just made a random comment that he thought I was cute, and his friend was dead set on setting us up. His friend had great success as a wingman with their other friends, but was surprised when I straight out refused. As an INFJ , I was insulted by the fact he wouldn't come up and talk to me himself. His friend was persistent and kept hounding me to give him a chance, but I kept avoiding them like the plague. Two years later, my now husband started to make small attempts to talk to me, and I was intrigued that he was still crushing on me and not intimidated, despite my manner of shutting them out. We eventually started dating, and 7 years later, we got married. His best friend was our best man, and in his hilarious speech he recollected how I was the only girl whom he had not managed to convince to go out with a friend of his, but deemed this failure as ultimately a success which worked out on its own.
This is Too accurate XD. I’m an INTP and my sister is ESFJ. Quick story: So I sometimes said that I wanted to work as a food delivery server. Day before yesterday they searched for people, and yesterday SHE APPLIED FOR ME without my knowledge so in that evening she told me that I could get a call. I’m Freaking nervous for calls, so I didn’t pick up:’) So yeh… Haha hope you liked my story XD
I'm an INTP with a ESFP sister, and yikes. She is the only extravert in our immediate family. Thankfully she has never done anything like that to me, but only because she is so self-involved.
As an INFJ who knows an ESTP I can say this is accurate. Him: Let's go to the clubs! Me: I really don't like loudness and chaos!!!! Him: You need to go out more! Me: Not really! Most times we just fist bump and go our separate ways since it's hard to have a connection with someone who's super grounded when you're someone who's in la la land most of the time.
INFJ here, I was married to an ESTP once. It didn't last long. (Granted, he was abusive, so his type isn't necessarily relevant.) I also have an ESTP sister who hates me, so...(she sides with my ex) I just want a good experience with an ESTP. Like, is that too much to ask for?
@@sassylittleprophet I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope you and I get a good experience with an ESTP. The ESTP I know is ungrateful, manipulative, has unrivaled expectations for everyone and is way too assertive and controlling.
@@eliasgarcia6576 YES. Exactly! I want to know not all ESTPs are like that. I want to assume they're not, but experience so far has shown me a pattern. I want so badly to be wrong, I want to see an emotionally healthy ESTP. I want to know that it is possible, and they do exist.
As an INTP, I couldn't relate this situation more. I really don't understand why my ESFJ friends enjoy embarrassing me with presenting me a girlfriend, I didn't ask anything-
The interaction with the INFP/ESTJ has me deceased! 😂 That hilarious well meaning, fix-it enthusiasm of that ESTJ colliding with that tender hearted INFP!
Aww, that's awesome to know! I really like their dynamic, honestly. So now I wanna see more interactions with them, like competing to do things on their own way and that stuff. They're my second fav dynamic :D (First one is ENFP and ISTJ)
Spoiler: it ends with the INTJ getting rid of the ESFP after countless attempts and finally getting a moment to relax when suddenly he realizes the vacation is already over.
Not a movie but this reminded me of a dounghua called Link Click where the fandom typed Lu Guang as INTJ & Cheng Xiaoshi typed as ESFP, although they don't go on vacations together they have the ability to time travel but as different people & experience different lives which is kinda vacation-ish in a way xD although Cheng is the one that time travels by entering client's photos while Lu guides him & makes sure he doesn't F up the past because they use their abilities to solve mysteries & Cheng promised Lu he will listen to him, for he can't change the past, but only look for clues. Cheng tends to have ideas of his own tho & acts on it even if it derails what Lu & him planned(for good reasons tho like trying to save someone's life) but Lu mostly leads the investigations, it's hard to say who wins lol & idk how to explain it in a shorter way & I'm rlly sorry for this paragraph lol but they both kinda have a equal win situation goin on xD although I guess yea actually INTJ wins in the end haha(⌒▽⌒)
@@snowbeaniiee AYEE that's awesome!! Haha it's nice to find another person who likes Link Click hereヽ(´▽`)/ glad your enjoying the show(❁´▽`❁) the cliff hangers are pain though but their rlly good too xD And I visted your channel..sorry to hear about Billy (;v;) I'm sure he's doing well in the afterlife (っ ´ ˘ `)っ
Infj here, and yes, my mom keeps falling asleep whenever I tell/share my stories, and she said I am her instant lullaby, well I am glad to help you, mom
"I'm feeling down in the dumps." "THEN STOP." Literally, this is what my ENTJ dad (and to some extent my ESTJ mom) used to tell me when I got upset. Needless to say it accomplished the opposite.
@@N0URii Haha, now imagine being an INFP being raised by them. XD Though my mom isn’t quite as rigid to her type as my dad, which is why the severity of the ESTJ stereotype in these vids surprised me at first. Mom may want results but knows rudeness backfires very badly. (Now getting it through to her that unsolicited advice ALSO backfires… XD ) And she also at least knew that I needed a little time to get through the upset first before trying to be rational about the situation.
anyone with an iota of common sense knows that people have to pass through the emotions rather than try to stop them or even change them. Its like telling someone to calm down when they are clearly angry...good luck with that
I love the ENFP and ISTJ just trying to get along and trying to understand each other , by the way that was quite accurate for the ENFP cuz I get random stuff that I might have no use for just cuz I think it's cool
OMG, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THIS DUO, YESSS I thought how funny it would be a friendship between an ENFP and ISTJ and I wasn't wrong! It's just so funny and sweet watching them trying to understand each other. They were my fav part, maan *screams like a fangirl*
As an ISTJ, ENFPs always intrigue me. We have the same cognitive functions that's why we are so different yet so similar. I would never get the stuff like you listed randomly but I (and a lot of other ISTJs apparently) have our little corner where we display our collection of little things, like tiny animals, household objects in dwarf size, stamps, little antique keys... I personally collect colourful stones and peables.
Poor INTP, he's traumatized! 🤣 I didn't realize that the ESTP was my opposite type...I'm going to test it out on my vacation! 😁 Looks like I'm packing my notebook!
Cool, someone likes me! Anyhow, I don't even like art, or museums, but I enjoyed the ENTJ, and related - all the times people told me to charge money for doing what I like...
I (an ENTP) said that to my ISFJ friend when we were younger. She uncharacteristically went off on me and said “it doesn’t work like that!” And I was like “oh” 😂
YES YES YES PLSS LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS PLS Okay, so, I love their dynamic because they are having a silent war to see who's gonna conquer with their ideas (ESFP being crazy and INTJ being organized) but at the end one tends to follow the other's idea because they just like being around the other. It's just so sweet and cute. Man, I just *can't* *Screams like a fangirl*
I love my ESFP friends. Perfect and efficient to drain my social battery on (since they know EVERYBODY) and they don't mind (or notice) when I disappear for a week to recharge
@@caliaster HAHAHAH, don't be scared. I just get excited about things I like a a lot, but usually I'm quiet. I bet u don't believe but I said the true lolol
Frank James thank you so much for putting together this episode! It was very heartwarming for me - I am an INTJ and my brother is ESFP, so literally all our funny conversations end like this!
im an ENTP and this is so relatable. My friends often come up at me telling me to watch some random movie or series that they've watched and LOVED, and when i go watch it, IS TERRIBLE AND DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE!!!
As an INFP that had an ESTJ teacher repeatedly talking about the pen technique with almost exactly the same lines, I have to say this was more than relatible! 😂
My mom is an ESTJ and my fiancé is an INFP (I’m an ENFP so growing up was... intense), and the interaction between those types was absolutely spot on and hilarious 😆
2:46 This is me as INFJ and my ESTP crush XD He talked about how to sleep bc he didn't feel sleepy. Then I talked about my thought and he already sleepy in 10 minutes lol
Ah same, idk what personality he is but the same happened with my crush, he saying he's not sleepy, me neither so i plan on talking to him all night and half an hour later he is like: good night gotta go to sleep. And i ended up being the only one awake xD
As an INTJ, I've been guilty of making plans because everyone I know never really does. Then I make plans based on what I know what my travel buddies like in case they don't want to go with my plans and then casually suggest the activities to them while what I want to do is right in the same place... It kinda goes on... Now I know it's in my personality lol and I'm even more okay with it.
as an INFJ, THAT IS SO ACCURATE YOU *NEED* TO FIND SOMEONE WHO IS AS INTERESTED AS YOU IN A TOPIC OR ELSE THEY ALL GWT BORED AND YOU FEEL LIKE ' welp i tried glad I helped :)'
My dad is an INTJ. I tried to show him a video about the 16 personalities from FJ. I was super stocked. My dad yaned after a Minute. I asked him: Did you listen? He answered: No. Why is it in English? (To be fair: Maybe his listening skills in english were worse than I thought because he can read english well.) If something isn't interesting to him, he won't listen for long. But I should listen to him talking about cooking pods comparsion tests... for hours. 😳 The life of an INFJ.
The ENTP Back Story Is We Aren’t Crying Because The Movie Is Stupid. Yes It’s Stupid But We’re Crying Because We’re Thinking Of The Enormous Waste Of Time It Is And All The Things We Could Be Doing Instead. Just Needed To Clear That Up.

I've always dreaded watching movies for that reason. Sure it can be an enjoyable experience, but half the time it's just boring and awkward, especially if it's a drama or a rom-com. I could be drawing, reading, working out, cleaning, thinking...
@@Catralasarguido It Depends On The Definition Of The Word Time And Is It Real And If It Is Then Should It Be Wasted or Are You Arguing That Time Doesn’t Exist And We’re All In A Simulation Where Nothing Matters?
It’s not the greatest, actually. My sister really resembles an ESFP, and I’m an INTJ. Constantly barging into my room when I’m hiding, making the most illogical statements possible and claiming they’re true, making spontaneous plans and dragging me into them because I “don’t spend enough time with her” (right after I spent two hours of my life with her).
My best friend is my opposite. I adore her and our differences. I’m ESTP and she is INFJ. I don’t fall asleep listening to her haha. I love it when she shares, because it’s not super often. It’s not difficult to get into a deep conversation which I love, but it’s hard sometimes to get her to share personal stuff. But seriously, I’m so grateful for my opposite!
Fantastic! This is what everyone wanted. Now... 16 Personalities interacting with their opposite cognitively (if that's a word) Btw, ESTJ was so relatable! That's my response every time someone tells me they are sad. I mean it.
As an ESTP with a friend who's an INFJ, this is very accurate haha also, I swear the comments section is always full of introverted intuitives haha Where are the extroverted sensors? Please tell me I'm not alone :,)
I love how in the majority of this videos you can easily spot the INTP because of their glasses and their NASA's shirt. As an INTP, I can't be offended by something I 100% agree with.
My 8-year-old ENFJ self while doing science projects with ISTx friend, now a scientist, because that was her favorite way to play: Me: I would love to be a bird and be able to fly! Her: No you wouldn't. Birds have hollow bones, which is why they can fly. You would probably die. Me: Well, wouldn't it still be fun to fly? Her (starting to get annoyed): No. It wouldn't. 😂🙃
Aw lol this reminds me of me (an INFP) and my ISTJ sister. I asked her once what fantasy world she'd want to live in if she could. I said something like Narnia or Harry Potter, and she said she'd rather live in the real world because being a regular person in a fantasy world would be dangerous or boring- there's a higher percentage chance she'd be born as a muggle than a witch, and she doesn't care about having magic powers.. Who doesn't want magic powers?!
@@bennyton2560 Yeah, I found out by accident. I know the types of the top 10 Autobots and the top 10 Decepticons. Megatron is ESTJ, and each time ESTJ yells at Timmy, I imagine Starscream as Timmy. XD lol
as a person whose idea of being spontaneous means Spontaneously Making a Plan for How to be Spontaneous, I can say that the INTJ one is very accurate. There is no living in the moment, there is only spending this moment to figure out how to best live my next moment. I'm sure my very chill and relaxed partner loves that.
My husband refused to make a plan about anything, berated me for making plans about anything, and actively worked to upend every plan I made. It was... stressful. On the other hand, I learned how to think like an INFP, so now I can dual-wield!
INTJ here - this had me laughing. When I work on vacation plans, I leave holes in the schedule for spontaneity. My ISFP spouse is along for the ride and relieved there is free time built in for good behavior.

@@stevesoprano8113 Basically just change the introversion and extraversion and they'll have the samw cognitive functions. ;)
Not annoying, but interesting!!!!
But yes, I agree that every type is most similar to itself. So to be more precise it would be "each personality type interacting with their most similar type other than themselves".

That's me and my sister's types.
*fist bump*
My mom is an Enfj and my father is an Istp...........
I think we all know how it's not working
interestingly, you're pretty spot-on with that observation. the types and their "opposites" DO have a lot more in common than you'd think; according to the cognitive function theory behind the MBTI, "opposite types" actually share the exact same cognitive functions but in the exact opposite order. your "opposite" type, i.e. the ENFJ, has your least developed functions as their most developed, and vice-versa. this makes the ENFJ your subconscious type slash aspirational personality type.
that's where your "one is just the [....] suppressed side of the other" comment hits the mark.
so, essentially, calling them "opposites" isn't even an accurate description, because you'd think that your "opposite" must be the type you have no cognitive functions in common with whatsoever. but well, in terms of letters, i guess labelling the ISTP and the ENFJ as "opposites" is a functional convenience.

All my siblings are extroverts, one in particular is really spontaneous and likes to plan stuff for EXACTLY when I’m in my room.
Okay. I am an INTJ and all I want now is a movie of the INTJ and the ESFP's vacation. Who won in the end? Obviously the INTJ, but how and when. 😂

"I'm feeling down in the dumps." "THEN STOP." Literally, this is what my ENTJ dad (and to some extent my ESTJ mom) used to tell me when I got upset. Needless to say it accomplished the opposite.
Wow what an ultimate productive pair of parents
@@N0URii Haha, now imagine being an INFP being raised by them. XD
Though my mom isn’t quite as rigid to her type as my dad, which is why the severity of the ESTJ stereotype in these vids surprised me at first. Mom may want results but knows rudeness backfires very badly. (Now getting it through to her that unsolicited advice ALSO backfires… XD ) And she also at least knew that I needed a little time to get through the upset first before trying to be rational about the situation.

I love the ENFP and ISTJ just trying to get along and trying to understand each other , by the way that was quite accurate for the ENFP cuz I get random stuff that I might have no use for just cuz I think it's cool
Oh yes ikr, like something that has story, challenging, or even something that it's only one left in the store.
Oh hell yeah! Collecting random stuff for absolutely no use is totally my speciality. 😆😆

I’m an ENFP and my younger brother is an ISTJ. This skit perfectly sums up our interactions.

I said that to my infp friend, and she totally responded the same way😂
I (an ENTP) said that to my ISFJ friend when we were younger. She uncharacteristically went off on me and said “it doesn’t work like that!” And I was like “oh” 😂
I am really loving the INTJ and ESFP, they got the Chemistry between them.

PLSS LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS PLS
Okay, so, I love their dynamic because they are having a silent war to see who's gonna conquer with their ideas (ESFP being crazy and INTJ being organized) but at the end one tends to follow the other's idea because they just like being around the other. It's just so sweet and cute. Man, I just *can't*
