You are a GREAT hand builder! I think your glazing lets you down a bit. the leaf bowl could be amazing. I am big believer in underglaze, stains and wiping back. YOU can see the results before you fire. keep going these are super.

Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on my work.
You're right, glazing can be tricky and it definitely takes practice to get the results you want. I hear you about the underglaze, stain, and wiping back technique - that's a great suggestion! I've been wanting to experiment with underglazes.
The leaf bowl is a perfect piece to try this on - I'll definitely give it a go on my next one. In the meantime, do you have any specific recommendations for underglazes or stains that you think would work well for the leaf bowl?
Thanks again for your kind words and helpful advice!

@@ceramiccreation If you are asking brands ? Mayco and Amaco are way easier to use than speedball. Having said that speed ball works well if
if you thin it and sieve it. Remember underglaze is just pigment suspended in fine wet clay. You can create your own color variation by mixing primary colors, or buy a bunch of colors. just remember to take notes when you get a color you like so you can repeat it. mason stains are just pigment, you can blend it into the clay or apply on top. the two best youtube channels for this are little street pottery- ann rule. And vaughn smith pottery - Westcote bell pottery. his wife's pieces are all painted, and you will appreciate his carving and hand building . have fun
