Thank you for the kind words! Regarding the plastic used for the leaf drawing, I believe I used clear acetate sheets commonly found in stationery stores. They are transparent and provide a good surface for tracing and transferring designs. That's a good idea I will make a tutorial about it as soon as possible ☺️

If you're interested in that dark look, a matte gray glaze would be a great choice for the finished piece! I’d love to see your work too-feel free to share!"
@@ceramiccreation I recently bought Aardvark "Charcoal" clay. It fires to a dark grey/charcoal color. I made some plates and bowls with clear glaze inside, then retired one (as an experiment) with a shinier black interior which I like for using with food. I'm going to refire the other pieces that way too. You did a very good job sculpting the leaves on your bowl and I am happy I found your YT page... I subscribed and will share with fellow potters. : )

I made a bowl with separate scallop shell clay impressed with the shells. It turned out beautiful. My instructor told me I would not be able to do it but I did. Also a lovely teapot make with some of the shell impressed pieces---I don't know how o better explain and I don't know how to attach photos or I would send....I can no longer do pottery b/c of where I live and don't know what I would do with it since selling my artwork was difficult and painful. I'm pretty old now too, almost 82 and have mobility issues. But I ADORED handbuilding....thanks for your videoo---so lovely....Stephanie [Stevie] from Longmont, Colorado....

For my slabs, I usually roll them out to about 1cm for a nice balance between durability and aesthetics. As for the time it took, creating this bowl took me about 3 days to shape, carved and finish and let it slowly dry for more days. I'm glad you're saving the video-happy crafting! 😊

Hi there! thank you☘️😍The heating temperature really depends on the type of clay I use. I mostly work with earthenware clay, which is first fired at a bisque temperature of around 960°C. For glazing, the firing temperature varies based on the type of glaze, but it typically falls between 1030°C and 1080°C. If you have any more questions about the process, feel free to ask.
Yes there is video on my channel about glaze kiln opening that you can see it after firing. And there is a short video of transforming after firing and glazing.

This tape technique is genius! I usually use paper but it's nowhere near as flexible as tape, I'll definitely use it.
