- Nickelodeon always had a fun way of trying to have all of their nicktoons come together outside of just their nicktoons unite series. So today, let's take a look at some really nostalgic nickelodeon CD-ROM games that featured the nicktoons in some very weird gameplay.

Thanks so much for watching! What other CD-ROM games from your childhood do you fondly remember?
I used to play the ones based on Batman The Animated Series like BATMAN:TOXIC CHILL.
LEGO Creator was The GOAT. I also enjoyed Lego Alpha Team! Was a pretty good puzzle game.
I also used to have the CD-ROM Clue game. I have the vague memory of Colonel Mustard throwing a dagger at you in a cinematic
I was a sucker for the Monsters Inc Pinball panic game. I think it came with a DVD for Monsters Inc or in like... A cereal box or something. All I know is I played that thing for hourssssss
Actually found a rip of it online and had a grand ol time reliving those memories.
My go-to PC games of choice were the Magic School Bus ones. Particular favorites were Inside the Earth and Explores the Rainforest.
Omg Jordan as soon as you mentioned the Tonka CD games you awoke deep memories I didn't even know I had and now I need these games again lol XD
same. we had the one where you do like fire rescue, police traffic moving stuff. and build parks.
@@trainfan4449 I played that one lol
As someone who watched a lot of Nickelodeon during the 2000s, I remember playing a bunch of these CD-ROM games. My favorite of them was the OG Nicktoons Racing. It was the closest thing I experienced to MarioKart before playing Double Dash.
There was also an are you afraid of the
Dark one.
@@nehemiahpouncey3607 The tale of Orpheo's curse?
@@mezoaim8957 yep.
I have a lot of memories of the Jumpstart Adventures games, specifically 3rd Grade, the one with the robot main character. The Cluefinder games were also pretty good.
star flyers, reader rabbit, humongous entertainment!
Nicktoons basketball was always one of my favorites, as a kid on my old pc. i was really glad to see that classic brought up again. great vid
Thanks for being the guy that appeals to weird nostalgia. I watched your Spongebob PC games video the other day at work and it was super enjoyable. Can't wait to see some more from you. And I can't believe I forgot about Nicktoons Basketball.
I remember a great game for the atlantis movie, that came with a happy meal. Probably exists on the internet archive. It could be nice to see a ranking of these minigames. Stuff like complexity and depth and fun and graphics, like a magazine.
This video brought back very vivid memories of playing with a Spider-Man studio software that my aunt had on her computer when I was a kid. I couldn't for the life of me know why she had that software since her only daughter is 10 years older than me and wasn't into superheroes as far as I can remember. But my lord, if I wasn't recreating the same fight between Spider-Man and the Hobgoblin and other villains on a weekly basis when I was 8-10 years old.
Spider-Man Cartoon Maker!
@@TServo2049 yeah! I think that's the one!
Thank you for crediting me with that video. Of those games you featured, I had Nick-O-Matic and the Nick Tunes game.
I remember playing Nicktoon Nicktunes on my pc back when I was 4 in kindergarten, one of them that I remember the most was Arnold actually spitting bars.
Holy crap that quick clip and mention of the Tonka games me feel things I can't explain haha that seriously unearthed memories I haven't thought about in a long time
I'm hoping one day you will talk about the Rayman franchise it series that deserves to be recognized.
Yup, in the works for later this year
The CD-ROM games that were a staple for my childhood were the Cluefinders series, specifically 43rd, 4th and 5th grade. Don't know if I actually learned anything but i did play the crap out of them
Probably another interesting video to talk about would be the PC Version of multiplatform Nickelodeon games, such as Battle for Bikini Bottom, Breaking Da Rules, etc. and how despite sharing the same name as their console versions, they where completely different games (sometimes Mini-Game collections). And many people to this day did question why the PC versions where so different. My answer which some people said that I'm correct on this, is simply because when companies where developing Kid PC games, they kept in mind that the games would most likely be used on a family PC, and as you can remember most family PCs back in the day tend to not be gaming PCs.
I’m guessing that Jordan is making Nickelodeon games and it’s becoming a thing. but what I’m here about this one thing, when will Jordan talk about Talk and the power of juju? Along side with its television series?
I talked about the show already. Will talk about games eventually
I got SO MUCH mileage out of Nickelodeon Party Blast.
I remember using Spongebob for all of the food fights because as I kid I thought him being a sponge made him "cleaner", as cleanliness was your HP in those modes.
Holy shit. I didn’t think anyone else ever played these games! Wow takes me back. Thank you for this!❤️
Seeing the Orlando Nick studio in the last one kinda shot me through the heart. Good memories there.
Embarrassing admission time.
I used to think that there was a difference between CDs and CD-ROMs so I would always get upset and confused when I game asked for a CD ROM because I assumed I was missing a piece to play the game.
A game not I game
I will say, there's one PC game I remember playing when I was 3 that, despite my best efforts, I have seemingly never been able to find any coverage online about. From what I remember, it was a Mickey Mouse edutainment game set in medieval times, with the series regulars at the time, such as Wayne Allwine, Russi Taylor and Jim Cummings, all reprising their roles. Within, the only things I remember are a minigame involving Pete moving stones on a conveyor belt with numbers on them, and when you quite the game, Mickey goes back to bed. I still vividly have memories playing this, alongside Freddi Fish 4, the Toy Story 2 Activity Center, 3D Frog Frenzy, and the SpongeBob games Employee of the Month, and Operation: Krabby Patty.
Though simultaneously, I remember watching The Berenstain Bears 2002 TV series with the name spelled "Berenstein", Between the Lions with "Chic-Fil-A" sponsorships, and a Buckley's ad with a tiger that had the tag line read "It tastes awful, _but_ it works", so I really hope this isn't another Mandela thing.
You unlocked a memory with that basketball one. I used to play that all the time. That and some sponge Bob point and click game
Other than NickToons Racing, my aunt got me Rugrats: Totally Angelica-Boredom Buster, which was an Angelica fashion game that was much like the Nick-O-Matic design factory. I also had a Little Bear PC game for our Gateway Windows 98 computer that also had a dress-up feature lol.
Absolutely loved this and the Console Team-Up video!
This reminded me of an old pc game I used to be completely fascinated with, Stay Tooned.
It was my cousin's game, and after the third time I asked to play it when I stayed over, they hid the CD from me from then on.
I played a Rugrats point and click adventure game that involved evading the parents, and is so old it doesn't even have Kimi.
i miss when nick treated all its cartoons like stars, instead of just spongebob. now they hardly have any original cartoons, just shows based on major franchises.
Very nice video, Mr.Fringe!
Gotta give out a shout out to Chex Quest as one of my favorite CD-Roms as a kid. Hell, it went BEYOND being a promotional CD-Rom and became its own fully fledged game with a sequel and remaster.
I remember when Quiznos used to give out CD rom games with their meals. I got one that I think was operation branded perhaps. There was a label about getting a frog out of the patients throat
When it came to Nick games on PC, I only got my hands on Spongebob: Operation Krabby Patty, the first Rugrats Movie game and Rugrats: Search For Reptar. Getting nostalgic thinking about them.
As for in general, I also had that one Spongebob game for the gameboy, Spongebob SuperSponge for ps1 (that one was...something...) and Rugrats in Paris for N64. I'm sure there were a lot of hidden gems I missed back then.
I remember a Matchbox emergency vehicle game that was essentially a kid version of GTA where you played as various emergency vehicles like a police motorcycle and ambulance and went around an open world map solving problems
Would love you to touch on the Tonka games, definitely wasted hours just destroying stuff with the backhoes
Man, I remember playing a ton of CD games back then - a lot were cereal box prizes too, I'd pick the cereal based on the prize haha. But I also remember fondly the old barbie games. Specifically I think the Rapunzel one? It had something to do with a paintbrush and a dragon, all with a pink filter slapped over top. Wish I remembered more, funny what does and doesn't stick
I played the Rugrats Movie CD-ROM game so much that the disk ended up getting a line across it from I assume the lens in the Windows 95 PC I had at the time.
I used to be obsessed with those golf game cd-roms from taco bell!
I distinctly remember one Christmas when I got the Rugrats in Paris Cd Rom game
Definitely want to see you check out some of those old Disney PC games.
I never played any of these but toon twister looks like a certified hood classic
I completely forgot Nickelodeon basketball was a thing. Digging up memories we forgot we had one video at a time.
I definitely remember Nick-O-Matic and ESPECIALLY Nickelodeon Basketball. I wish I still had a way to play Nickelodeon Basketball honestly.
Garfield mad about cats and jay jay the jet plane combo disc. That’s my childhood right there. My slightly to extremely unsettling childhood
I somehow got my hands on a copy of the original Nickelodeon 3D Movie Maker from the 90s, and I was obsessed with it as a kid despite not knowing any of the shows that was on it. Was one of my favorite cd rom games to play as a kid. Still got the cd rom, but it crashes whenever I try to make a short film now probably from scratches on it.
Me and my brother use to play that Nickelodeon twister game WAYYYYYY more than the basketball game and we’re basketball players that played that game a lot…. It’s just that editing game was the greatest game ever to us 😭💯
I was here in a heartbeat for the Nick Click lol such good, repressed memories
The one PC CD-ROM I played all the time as a kid was the Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius game.
Keeping with the Nickelodeon theme, there were two Rugrats CD games that I played. One a point-and-click adventure game looking like an episode of the cartoon and one in the style of a board game with 3D designs.
Was the boardgame one Rugrats Munchinland by any chance?
I think that's what it was called, i remember playing a ton of that one with my cousins growing up.
@@Klonoahedgehog nope. The games I played were set before the movie events.
And now I remember one were Tommy was a noir style detective.
I used to love the Nick Click. I remember printing out the ids but the camera uploading pictures to my computer never seemed to work right, not sure what was wrong maybe my computer at the time was too old but I remember that scuba guy guy and throwing the pies at the astronaut.
The tonka games opened up a huge can of nostalgia
i had the toon twister game and i brought it to school senior year to make memes in class. i dont think ive ever laughed harder in my life, it aged so bad
If we're talking about old games played on PC. When I was a kid I played an interactive story game on a Gateway computer and played Arthur, lil monster and others when tech was starting and magic school bus games too on PC
if any of these were released today we'd have easy game of the year winners
9 months late, but I remember clearly a Harry Potter "game" where you had a lot of different Harry Potter stickers and could make pictures with them. I actively made my own birthday invitations with that program making each one personal to the recipient. Now I'm a professional digital artist, so maybe there is a correlation between that and my career much like your editing.
I bought nicktoons basketball at a scholastic bookfair. I always played as the team that was like genius themed? It had Jenny, Goddard, AJ and i think Jimmy Neutron. I spent so many hours in that game
Bro I had Nicktoons Basketball. That game was addicting for no good reason
I remember getting a copy of the Monsters Inc pinball game when we saw the movie. I remember having fond memories with it despite being bad at pinball games as a 5-year-old
wait remember 3d movie maker? it is a similar to toon twister 3d but different it is a old 1995 pc program where you create you own 3d movies. even one that's feature 90s nick characters (yes there is a Nickelodeon-themed version of 3D Movie Maker and there is expansion pack where you can add them to the original 3dmm), and there is also a niche dedicated community that makes user-made expansion packs such as custom actors, props, backgrounds, and tools that breathes life into 3dmm.
I only had Nicktoons Basketball and I had no clue what I was doing cuz I was very young when I got it
Scooby Doo Mystery Adventures and Case Files were very neat.
yesss I grew up with Nickelodeon BrainBender and thought that it was so difficult but definitely enjoyed playing it lol
Cap'n Crunch adventure, classic Freddy Fish, MLB home run slam
2:01 Made me almost spit out my drink, lmao
Those pink squares on SpongeBob and His Less-Successful Friends Basketball are killing me! What is their purpose?? 😭
I bet you they weren’t there if you played it on old hardware. Probably some bug because they’re being played on a computer/operating system that’s too new to be perfectly compatible with it.
Where'd that USB mic warning come from?
Lego Loco had a simular design where you create post cards and email or print them out.
Holy sh!t!!!! I had Nick Click too that sh!t was dope!
Edit: I feel the same way about the ape getting shat on & the scuba guy for some reason, just feels very surreal.
I have like a weird memory of some Crayola crayon game for the pc when I was growing up. Can't even remember more than that. Just a game about crayons
The only classic Game on CD ROM I enjoyed and remembered was Barnyard on PC it felt like a dream playing as your own cow was weird but cool.
You should try and check out the big Flash games boom in the early 00s. Very nostalgic about that too.
Will you do a take on Tak The Power of JuJu game and also Jet Set Radio.
Yo dude 2 pc games from that early 00's come to mind. That hot wheels micro racing game I got from a playset and I had this pokemon activity disc one where you could print out and make things similar to the nick ones but with pokemon characters, I forgot the name of it but I know it was gen 1
All of the Humungous Entertainment PC games are my fav. (Pajama Sam, Spy Fox, Freddi Fish, Putt-Putt) I was tickled they released some of them on the switch, but it sucks they haven’t released all of them.
I had nicktoons basketball growing up and played it all the freaking time
I lost the cd a long time ago and would kinda like to play it again
Tech Deck Dudes CD-ROM game....it was pretty awful, but I remember having an excitement for it. Pretty sure they don't even sell those anymore.
I forget the name of it but there was this nick game that I would always play on my grandmother's computer when I was young. I don't remember much except it had a Jimmy Nuetron game and maybe Fairly Odd parents plus one another show but my memory is so hazy. All I know is that it was on a tissue box
Miss all the dang browser cartoon based games
The tonka pc games mention struck a chord with me
I’m just wondering if you remember a steward little video game for the ps1, that was a fever dream of a game
So, I guess since it's not a "CD-ROM" Nicktoons MLB was not included... even though it felt like a Nickelodeon version of Backyard Sports
You should talk about those Nickelodeon fighting game flashgames the SuperBrawl series.
OMG I LOVED THESE
I actually recently got the nicktoons basketball game at a thrift store
you should do a video on all the types of PC games where you needed to put a console over the Keyboard for the computer
Wasn’t there a CatDog computer game? Something about the golden hydrant
I don't know how many of these would be considered obscure but some of the pc games I remember having as a child were:
Pac-Man: Adventures In Time
Ms. Pac-man: Quest for the Golden Maze
Legoland
Crazy Drake
Speedy Eggbert
The Adventures of Bouapha: Spooky Castle
Spooky Castle: The Adventures of Kid Mystic
And some games compilation CDs, mostly from eGames
The jimmy neutron movie video game for pc was soooo good! It was totally different on ps2, way worse. I also remember cat dog and the golden fire hydrant on pc being good as well
As told by ginger coloring on the Nickelodeon website back in the day
I had a few of these in the thumbnail so I had to click😭🤣
I played a lot of these bizzare cheap PC games as a kid.
Does anyon remember that one Pokemon racing game? Pokemon team turbo?
That one is engraved in my memory
Talking about that game in my next video actually lol
I had a game that came in a box of Oreos called Egypt Kids, dunno if that counts
Hey, Maybe next for video games you could do Nintendo 64 Banjo Kazooie 1998, Nintendo 64 Mickey Mouse Speedway USA 2000 and Nintendo 64 Super Smash Bros 1999, thank you and great work you're doing.
I played a lot of Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel games on the internet website and they were awesome, entertaining, funny and enjoyable games to play but I don't remember if I ever bought a PC game for Nickelodeon but I did bought PC games, the ones that I remember right now are Barbie and Robot from the animated movie and I also bought other fun PC games.
Jordan Fringe, can you cover the Kingdom Hearts games?
Also, I rewatched this video with my girlfriend just because the “it’s not called Lebron James and the Lakers Basketball, they’re just THE LAKERS” gag made me laugh so hard. She loved it too, great work!
I'm gonna have to ask what happened in your childhood that led to you talking about Nicktoons Nick Tunes? (Great video otherwise.)
Hope to see the weird all grown up video game and jimmy neutron vs Jimmy negatron
1:06 wow buddy, only thing i respect is the pouch so get on my level or we bout to fight.
Sadly I think I own all the games on that you mentioned
Not a nickelodeon game but i remember playing a captain crunch game i got in a cereal box
I only played the Nicktoons console games. I never played any Nickelodeon PC games... unless it's on the Internet.
I LOVED The Rugrats Movie PC game
HOLY SHIT THOSE TONKA GAMES
