LOL open worldy crap. I live for that, even Valhalla was fun in places thanks to that, and sure it looks great. They dump millions into that every time. Such a shame what some of them play like in the end. And to any commenting, no I don't mean Origins or Odyssey.
If an assassin’s creed took assassinations similar to hitman, parkour of dying light and combat of Ghost of Tsushima and writing similar to witcher? Ooof. IMO. Game of all time.
As a French Canadian who actually lives with Europeans 24/7, I have to say that these accents are awfully funny. I played the game in french because I personally prefered it that way, poetry and discourses felt more natural even though ubisoft did a good work for other languages. But ziss deee ceeee iz aye plezantryyy
I wasn’t sure if it was just me but I was loving this DLC it had so much more detail in the world an it just felt like it had a more natural flow between the story and all the little side content it felt good to play and I had a lot of fun
I've thought about this too, I think I'm with you. It's sort of an in-between state where Eivor feels like Eivor, playing doesn't make me think I'm either. The exact opposite of how Edward made me feel like a pirate and an assassin...
I understand that Eivor is a swell guy/gal who doesn't slaughter innocent villagers or behead every monk in the way of the nearest treasure chest, but the result feels so tepid, and doesn't give the (literary, cinematic) illusion of being a Viking warrior. Then take away most of the chance to be an atypical Viking warrior who instead is stealthy and assassin-y and operates often in the shadows, and there's nothing much left. Or, at least, that's how it stands, as far as I got in the game.
As a character who is on the enemy team but is still honorable I couldnt help but think that Count Odo would have made a great templar. A member of Alfreds newly emerging group who starts off with good intentions, fighting for divine order. Would have also been great to see the interactions with eivor since she indirectly led to the templars' formation. This dlc had so much more potential imo.
Having black box assassinations back after so long made me ecstatic for an RPG style AC game that uses these. Think of how cool it would be if you had an actual speech stat or strength stat that could be used for these missions.
There is a speech stat that can be used. It was more prominent in the main game where, depending on your charisma level (which you raise by winning flyting matches), you could sometimes have the option to basically use your "speech" level to talk your way out of a situation, or intimidate/convince enemies/people into giving you info about something without having to pay them or something else. Siege of Paris only had one single moment of these, but it was still sad and heart-warming, nonetheless.
The fact the hidden ones bureau is Roman theme got me thinking, imagine if there was an AC game where you played as a Roman and it took around all the different countries, cities that Rome occupied during there peak reign.
Man I absolutely loved the siege of Paris. Will say I loved Valhalla in general but, Wrath dropped my enthusiasm a bit. Siege brought me right back in. I knew when buying Valhalla that I'd be confronted with some hyper religious and incredibly deceptive characters, people I knew I'd be conditioned to hate as a rule but siege made me appreciate them when given a bit more time to simmer out.
Good review. Nice to see some people saying good things about it, cause I absolutely love this game! And this dlc was a perfect and meaningful continuation of Eivor’s character and story with a fresh storyline and lots of great characters. I really liked WotD as well, but it definitely didn’t feel as meaningful as this one does. Especially because it had scenes with her reflecting on her life. And it had some scenes with Randvi which was good to see, even though she sounded like Valka. Eivor not officially joining the Hidden Ones makes perfect sense to me, and I LOVE that we still get to see them somewhat. The fact that they’re there in the background definitely works with there shadowy nature. And that note left by the assassin to Eivor was perfect. Telling her that he sees her as an ally and friend because of her actions, even though he can’t actually risk meeting her was sooooo cool! “You work in the light so that I can work in the dark.” I just loved that they are further reinforcing the fact that Eivor not an Assassin, but she also is an Assassin in almost every way except in name and status. She chooses her family and her life over working in the shadows, but she still fights the same fight as well as her own. I’m rambling now, but I can’t say enough about how much I love this game. Thanks for the review!
Loved seeing Eivor talk to her raven right before the siege, in my game my raven skin is a puffin so it was a bit of comedic relief. That being said I loved this DLC. It was a breath of fresh air compared to Wrath
Let the truth be told: The writers from this dlc shoudda been the ones working on the main game. (But we still need so much more assassins/hidden ones stuff) Edit: I'm not saying the main story is bad. I am one of the ones who liked it. But at the same time I think it could have been better. In the siege of paris the caracthers feel more memorable and well written (dialogues, arcs and stuff), wich lacks in some of the main game arcs. At the same time the siege of paris adds some moments where we, the players, are allowed to breath with the carachters, such as the one time when Eivor talks with his revan, and about his parents. Those moments are kindda rare in the main story. But thats only my opinion and my experience. Its okay for u to dissagre :)
@@arivivith4375 The "big brother" aspect was new and intriguing but they were 4"help settlements" missions apart from each other. The kingdom with Ivar is the most interesting and memorable one.
@NARWHALS LEAKS With all respect to McDevitt, you can't deny that his story suffered greatly from how the game was structured. At the end of the day, he has to do what the Ubi-overlords tell him to do. It has some great moments, but man is it tedious to get to them.
They had Darby McDevitt working on the main game's story. They couldn't have had a better writer, and it still sucked. I honestly don't know why that happened. I still love you, though, Darby McDevitt.
Jayvee got the perfect face for these videos lmao. Also yeah, even I got very disappointed when it didn't even refer to Rollo, least do something assassin. Really liked the blackbox though.

@@justinkendall2461 that helps a bit, but i still can't precisely point out the main problem, i wanted to like Valhalla, but there's something there stopping me from being able to, what is it?
@@justrandomstuff6828 all honesty as I was playing I did enjoy the game, I have over 190 hours into it. The problem is after replaying God of War ps4 for the first time since launch, the Witcher 3 for the first time, and the Ghost of Tsushima dlc, it’s become way too obvious how poorly crafted the actual experience of ACV is
100% hit the nail on the head. I LOVED Odyssey… it was imo the best of the series since Brotherhood. Its DLCs especially were phenomenal. Valhalla I went into with more enthusiasm & hype for an AC game than maybe ever. Perhaps that’s what let me down so heavily but beating Valhalla felt like a chore. The mission structures were ok in the story but complete and total ASS for side quests. The world activities BS was such a misstep. Whatever AC comes next, I’m back to tepidly, mildly interested rather than can’t wait to hand them $60+ I have the season pass of Valhalla & haven’t touched either DLC. The game is just so boring imo
Me too I’m even from Scandinavia and was the most hyped for this more than any other AC other than Origins and Unity! But I didn’t even play half of this and it bored and irritated me! I don’t know why, it’s hard to explain not a good game..
I felt like after the main story Eivor would become a Templar because king Aelfred would change the order of ancients into the Templar’s we know and Eivor would be more on board with that after the hidden ones betrayed him
I was half-expecting this outcome in terms of your reception of this DLC, to be honest. :P Main reason being, Valhalla's base game is simply way too long and stretched for what it attempts to do, while the DLCs are at the very least, more concise, which _immediately_ eradicates one of the base game's most damaging issues. The gameplay looks suitably ridiculous, but to hear that the main story and acting are actually pretty good is quite shocking to me. That, I did not expect. Also, yess, A Plague Tale is so sick that you mentioning it is going to make me reinstall it tomorrow. Heavily / overly-scripted but great stealth, puzzles, and bordering on survival horror atmosphere at times.
Right! It's almost like Valhalla's loop was meant to be played very slowly over time or in small spurts. I can't play this game like I play most games because it wears me out. Glad to know you're a fellow fan of A Plague Tale! That game blew me away to be honest, can't wait for the sequel!! Thanks Leo
I fully agree with the first point this game is just way too long. People may say I’m nitpicking but this game really is too long it causes burn out and is too stretched
What do you guys mean to long? sorry I just got odyssey last week and have put in 54 hours so far and loving it I try and do every little thing in the area I'm in before progressing the next bit of story and hope its got plenty left and thinking about getting this next. I am maxed in OSRS though which probes took at least 2000 hours so is the game actually bad or you just don't like a long game?
@@pkdsince05 the map is the same copy pasted bushed and scenery again and again and again which gets old very fast. The game itself is also bad if I had to mention it all I’d have to write an essay for odyssey I mean

I'm really enjoying the stories and the range of armor and weapon combinations which you an also engrave!, the abilities that you can upgrade are all very enjoyable to use and the combat is better then the Witcher (in Witcher you just spam Quen sign take no damage ever), there's a ton of side content to do also which is awesome! I stopped playing ac after number 2 caused I really disliked the gameplay as was the same thing over and over. I literally haven't even looked or been interested in a ac title launch for 10 years So happy I bought this last week if Ubisoft continue to make there games like this now ill actually be excited for there next release.
I really liked the ambient soundtrack they created for Francia. It's just so ominous. You really get the feeling that something's just not right in that country.
This video made me understand why I liked Valhalla against my better judgement. Whilst I knew it was wasting my time, like a bad tv show, I still wanted to see it through. The moment in Norway where I stumbled upon the spot of Eivor’s parents death and walked about the longhouse we began in - I connected with him in a way I never did with Kassandra.
the actual seige mission really reminded me of classic ac like the climax of brotherhood, where the narrative takes the center stage and its one thing happening after the other. the voice acting is awesome as well, coupled with the music that has powerful emotional cues

The best part of this DLC is how all the small decisions throughout, eventually change the ending. In my story: Sigfred was not remorseful , he challenged me in the end and had to be killed, whereas here, he walks away. I also really enjoyed the character arch of Count Odo, he was one of those "bad guys" that you just can't help but like, and I'm glad he ended up in charge of France.
I started playing through Witcher 3 for the first time and finished everything and was on the heart of stone when Siege of Paris released. I’m now on Blood and Wine while also playing the new Ghost of Tsushima dlc and after these and still not having played SoP, I’m pretty sure I’ll never play AC Valhalla maybe ever again…….
@@abusivecomments9608 He didn't say he was playing both games at the same time (which could have been considered "no-lifing"), just that he played Witcher 3 instead and now has no interest in returning to Valhalla.
The more I look into this Dlc the more I appreciate A Plague Tale: Innocence. The environment, the city design, the story, the theme/setting, almost everything look so perfect. We only enter a few small playable areas in Plague Tale but it makes the world look so lively for me, I just want to explore more and more about that world. If Ubisoft can actual spend time and put some love to their Paris then I believe it will worth the money. What happen with the insane detailed Paris in Unity?
@@FlaviusConstantinus306 Both DLCs were huge and stunning, filled with content. When it comes to lore, we learned so much about ISU, but whatever. You’re just another Ezio’s fanboys so keep on crying 🥱😴
Origins DLC's feels more like an expansion rather than a dlc, with tons of new things to do, very well written stories and offers the exact same gametime and extension from the base game
It's like how one can hate/dislike a TV series overall but basically love almost everything about a Season in particular about said show. Also, for a good part of the Paris DLC I was thinking that there was gonna be another add on to the cult/order page. Was abit disappointed that it didn't happen.
This dlc nearly hit the mark on what I wanted from Valhalla as game. The black box missions, the story, the characters, and the mission designed are just amazing. Honestly if the main game was like this, this may have been arguably one of the best Viking games ever made
There is a tale of a pretty hair viking about to be executed by another viking tribe, as they all was getting beheaded, he said he didn't want blood on his hair, so they held his hair, while the ax was coming down he pulled away and took the guys hand. For his courage the chief laughs and let his whole tribe lived, cause he fought till the end and made him laugh.
For those who complained about the french accent , remember it's medieval french. If you can't understand it in modern day , god help you with ancient times
I went into seige probably the same as everyone else, I had fairly low expectations but if I was honest I did have a fun experience with it, I enjoyed it, I also did enjoy the main game but I just feel looking back that it isn't as good as it could've been, but I do personally like the characters, odo felt human as did Richardis, but yep, I feel little sympathy for any of the kids, not every game needs to be rdr2 Apologise for the rant :)

they should have had Eivor join the hidden ones, idk if it would have detracted from his arc, but it would have at least made it feel like more of an “assassins creed game” still loved Vahalla though. I agree, playing how you want to play and not letting OCD kick in and have to get the yellow and blue dots on the map changes the way you experience the game.
I really enjoyed the siege of Paris, more urban environments, the black box missions it was so good and kind of felt like assassins creed. I’m kind of hoping Ubisoft add in the option to play the expansions separately from the main game. Similar to how they did with origins.
Wraith of the druids was an expansion to the rise and grind of the game, pitting you against a whole new land, bosses and OP weapons (double spear breaks game). Cant wait to see this new DLC.
The strong French accent is the posh accent. So when it's stronger it's how royalty etc would sound. The weaker accent is more normal French. So while it might sound fake to some who don't travel much etc It's not. Its also the funniest to English speakers I feel. The accent people will do when doing French impressions.
What we really need is a new assassin's creed game with Unity's Parkour, Witcher's story writing and questing, GOT combat or maybe Valhalla's combat with more variety of moves, and Origins' world design
I appreciate your two dlc videos because I havnt played since river raids were released. I did 100% of the game before that. So I needed this to see what I've missed. With that being said I'm gonna immerse myself for the next few months on this.
i want the ac back where you were able to see how strong the enemy is by looking at his gear and when you went to the blacksmith to buy a better weapon which actually looked stronger instead of having a overpowered level 44 wooden stick as a sword
I hadn't played ACV since finishing it in January and i'm sure that helped with my enjoyment of Wrath of the Druids and Paris. It was nice to jump back in and it seems like it's running better on ps4, minus the god awful load times.
@jayvee I enjoyed Siege of Paris more than the base game. I played the entire DLC in the Basim outfit and kept meditating to keep it night time so I felt like a true Assassin. For the missions I had to wear a certain hood to infiltrate I wore the white St George armor under so I still felt like an assassin lol It almost felt like the assassin games of old stealthly sneaking around collecting clues to kill my targets. I think this DLC was a step in the right direction t o bringing the franchise back closer to it's roots. I just wish that there was more black box infiltration style missions, or they implemented for the Reda daily and weekly challenges to be black box missions. That would be so cool instead of the same rinse, recycle repeat missions of kill the merchant, kill the farmer and kill the wolf. The assassination contracts should be challenging and fun, and make you have to locate your target with clues before taking them out.
I didn't watch the video till the end right now, but so far I can say that I approve with you in most points. And you did less memes! I think like that it's very balanced. Nice video so far👌🏻
I want to give some pros and cons from what I’ve played: Pros: -cool looking weapons even with mythical weapons -graphics aren’t bad but I feel like it could be better, also there are some weird places where textures look like blurred clay or play-dough. -I like the design of characters and how they look, love Vikings -I also like how you can customize how your character looks with tattoos or different hair styles and colors -some of the places where you go ally with people are great and get me sucked in, but other places weren’t that engaging Cons: -most of the time I felt like I was slogging through the game and wasn’t enjoying it as much as I did origins or odyssey through story and gameplay. -how you upgrade your stuff is better but I got tired quickly from getting materials to upgrade and just felt like a chore. -most choices you make in this game mean little to nothing except 5 different choices in the main game which feels less meaningful, at least with odyssey it felt like these things did matter a lot and were genuinely reasonable. -skills are cool but there’s too many of them and you need to find two books in order to get the skill and then upgrade it to its final form. -puzzles are good for the first while then it’s just rinse and repeat. -don’t get me started on opals and going out to find them all, I feel bad for those 100% completion guys to do this. -you can buy a silver and xp boost…with real money…need I say more. -a lot of the armor and weapons in the shop didn’t interest me much…also there barely is any “ice” weapons or stuff like fire and poison weapons. -barely any assassins brotherhood stuff and it just feels like it was left to the side. -I don’t even know what to make of the story anymore, I can understand the story of the kingdom hearts games more than this mess. If you still want to try or play it wait till it’s on sale. Dlc: Druid’s is meh and siege of Paris is better but not much, mostly you running around France doing the usual things you did in the main game.
I agree, i liked it way more than the main story and Wrath of the Druids, but i wish the Assassin's were a bigger part of the story, and not some background detail. Im checking out the Watch Dogs Legion / Assassin's Creed crossover DLC when i get home. Hope that's good too.
6:36 thats most likelly a test drive of the model we seem to be getting with AC infinity. Seems to me that it was a call to not take what might have been thought of as an unncessary risk.
I think that something pretty cool about the final Charles choice is Richardis' reaction after I killed him (Btw, I wanted to spare him, but didn't know how, and only after watching a video I rememebered about the gate he closed, which made me feel dumb). Her reaction genuinely made me question whether I made the right choice. And her letter after also made me question it again. I think that's show of a good character. You really want to trust her judgment, but you've also seen Charles' brutality and deteriorating mental state with your own eyes. Btw, there was ONE single Black Box mission in the Raven and Cuckoo side-quest (main game), featuring Eivor team up with Roshan (from the upcoming AC Mirage. Yes, I was very surprised to see her after having watched the first Mirage gameplay video) to kill a target of hers, by disguising and infiltrating Ravensburg, and killing a subordinate in a public manner.
And also, why is Sigfried using a modified assassin outfit? Like, that's never brought up, i thought there was gonna be more Hidden Ones lore through him, but nah, it's just a lazy asset reuse. Smh
Just finished it, too. It looks like you also opt for more realistic armors as opposed to all those epic-magic-looking ones. And your Eivor has the same hair/stache as mine :) And the same horse!
The disappointment I felt when I realized yet another DLC wouldnt include the hidden ones nor the order of the ancients... was immeasurable. I had to roleplay on my own pretending I was an Assassin, wearing Basim's outfit the whole time lol. Aside from that though, solid DLC. The story felt a lot more condensed, to the point, and far less BS filler like the main game. Characters were good aswell, especially Rollo but not actually Rollo but definitely should've been Rollo. Count Odo IMO was the best, by the end I couldn't decide if *SPOILERS* my decision to have him become King was good or not, because he wasnt such a cookie cutter vanilla character. So cudos on that. ALSO: the French accents absolutely killed me. The one drunk dude who tasks you with finding his daughter LOL. I had to clip it so I could rewatch it. Too funny. Overall I give it an 8/10
nope I'm complaining that this video game doesn't distinguish its areas enough. that was not an argument on realism, it was an argument on design choices
It would be cool if they created a dlc which Eivar ought to travel to Constantinopla and become a Varangian guard or even move to Iceland and create his own kingdom. 🤩 Anyway, great and honest reviews
Spoilers ahead I didn't even know Sigfred leaving his clan was an option, I battled and killed him. I guess the ending depends on the choices you make during the story. I loved the dlc as well, great characters and a smaller, more focused story. It didn't gave me that weariness feel like the base game, which was just too long and on the final arcs I was just rushing through it, hoping it will end soon and not really caring about the story and characters anymore.
I have no problem with the Combat..can be frustrating at times, but overall, I love the combat, makes you think more, and spares Charles, I saw him as someone who was lost without Richardis and I just could not bear to kill him. I explored Francia before doing the Main stuff, Eivor is not an Assassins but is slowly becoming one, Stealth has always been an option. People just complain because it's not front and center. All I know is I love the AC Series and am always looking forward to more.
I have played Plague Tale. And without a doubt it was by far the best game i have played in a long time. Comparing Plague tale with AC is like comparing gold with copper
Ever since the combat changed to this style, I couldn't deal with playing assassin's creed anymore. There a very few games I can stomach using melee weapons that appear blunt and you're just beating them to death with it
The biggest thing I hate is I try to do the main quest n just trying to get there will literally take me hoursssss cuz I get distracted with finding wealth then spending so long trying to actually find a hidden entrance lmao then I realize it’s 4 hours later n I still didn’t even get to the mission

I wish I could play this DLC without the main game. I really like the missions and how it sort of tied back to classic AC structure of investigating your target and then having an open ended mission to kill them. And the story was solid too, it didn't felt as one-sided as the main game was.
I do agree. I loved the feel of a AC in miniature. Not too big and just enough to be busy and engaged. I just wished Ubisoft stopped to make everything to bloated. But I fear that’s an idle wish,
If you take time to READ what Odo says, his redicilous outburst meeting Eivor makes no sense, since Odo actually seems like a rational man in the notes. I gave f** all about collecting armours/weapons, but see Ubisoft loaned the rat mechanic from A Plague Tale (were you actually had to use your brain, not weild a sword). Furthermore, the Ireland dlc actually had a purpose; I went there between quests to empty the chest and get about 560 silver. The side activity with the rebel stuff was plain fluff, who cares to go to some location 20 times to get better equipment to go to the same location, rinse and repeat. AND the Ireland dlc had Kassandra as a plus (although I have a strong suspicion it wasnt the same voice actress)
especially after you played Unity, I bet those BlackBox missions felt great. Are you planning on checking out the watchdogs ac expansion and commenting on the identity problems of AC? I personally loved that DLC with Darcy.
my biggest problem was all the missions were like the war is here… just do this first. then you get to paris and do the stuff and go back and they are like we’re ready just do this first and i got so annoyed
I still haven't finished all of the side stuff 😅 but sometimes it's fun to just hop on and do the junk food stuff? Thanks for watching y'all!! 💙

Favorite part of this DLC for me was Eivor imitating a French accent when you try and find Odo. Pretending to be a Frisian ally.

Right?? It's actually such a good game. Need to do a review at some point
@@jayveeeee I definitely like to hear your detail opinion about it 👌
Let the truth be told: The writers from this dlc shoudda been the ones working on the main game. (But we still need so much more assassins/hidden ones stuff)
Edit: I'm not saying the main story is bad.
The story for the main game was good it's just the length of the game was too much.
U dissing Darby literally the writer of revaltions and black flag disappointed
@@arivivith4375
The "big brother" aspect was new and intriguing but they were 4"help settlements" missions apart from each other.
That's something I didn't even touch on because I just don't know the history. I know lots of people watch Vikings and probably brought that expectation in. I haven't so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@jayveeeee haha understandable, I was a history nerd so for me it was all history. Haven't watched Vikings apart from the first season.
@@rohit_parashar right! Sorry I didn't mean to assume you watched Vikings haha. I know lots of folks play these for the history so I totally get where you're coming from :)

that video is LEGENDARY I'm pretty sure that's where I learned my terrible French accent ;)
I'm still playing Odyssey to this day and having a lot of fun, but Valhalla... I don't think i want to finish it, this dlc is not enough, there's something in Valhalla that feels... Not wrong, but not right, can someone help me out here? Does anyone have the same feeling?
The combat and gameplay are terrible so no amount of story can outweigh that for me
@@justinkendall2461 that helps a bit, but i still can't precisely point out the main problem, i wanted to like Valhalla, but there's something there stopping me from being able to, what is it?
Whatever AC comes next, I’m back to tepidly, mildly interested rather than can’t wait to hand them $60+
I have the season pass of Valhalla & haven’t touched either DLC.
Main reason being, Valhalla's base game is simply way too long and stretched for what it attempts to do, while the DLCs are at the very least, more concise, which _immediately_ eradicates one of the base game's most damaging issues.
@@ahmedsachwani2868 The scenery is beautiful and gives you so much freedom to explore the open world just like Skyrim or Witcher 3! I recently purchased and played Mass effect LE and had to stop half way through number 2 because you had to recruit a team member then do a side quest for them and this was 8x over and all the maps were linear and looked fairly the same very bland such a waste of money.
Your imitation of the bad French accent just got you a like sir🤣
When this game was announced I thought Normandy and either Scotland or Denmark would be the dlc’s
I would love to see some Scottish Gaelic clans in an AC game. It's such a cool history it'd be great to visit Edinburgh or the Isle of Sky.
I really liked the ambient soundtrack they created for Francia.
It's just so ominous. You really get the feeling that something's just not right in that country.
Crazy cause I don’t really find bugs. The stealth is fine. Crazy peoples different experiences with the same game
Right me to!
Kinda like how everyone was experiencing glitches and issues with Unity…I personally had no issues with it
This video made me understand why I liked Valhalla against my better judgement. Whilst I knew it was wasting my time, like a bad tv show, I still wanted to see it through. The moment in Norway where I stumbled upon the spot of Eivor’s parents death and walked about the longhouse we began in - I connected with him in a way I never did with Kassandra.
I really enjoyed this dlc, it brought me back to what AC can be. It reminded me of how Unity was with the assassination missions.
the actual seige mission really reminded me of classic ac like the climax of brotherhood, where the narrative takes the center stage and its one thing happening after the other.
the voice acting is awesome as well, coupled with the music that has powerful emotional cues
Get a life
bruh who asked?
@@abusivecomments9608 He didn't say he was playing both games at the same time (which could have been considered "no-lifing"), just that he played Witcher 3 instead and now has no interest in returning to Valhalla.
The only thing Valhalla did, was having me go back to the older games, in Syndicate now and it's fun
This DLC was good on it’s own, but if we compare it to Origins and Odyssey’s 2nd DLC, then Siege of Paris feels cheap and poor
@@FlaviusConstantinus306 Both DLCs were huge and stunning, filled with content. When it comes to lore, we learned so much about ISU, but whatever. You’re just another Ezio’s fanboys so keep on crying 🥱😴
I loved Origins The Hidden Ones DLC, but didn't love The Curse of the Pharaohs. Sometimes a story gets me and sometimes it doesn't, for me Siege did.
Origins DLC's feels more like an expansion rather than a dlc, with tons of new things to do, very well written stories and offers the exact same gametime and extension from the base game
@@matijota8728 Exactly, that’s what I love about them. I’m just finishing Curse of Pharaos actually for the second time, it’s epic

It's like how one can hate/dislike a TV series overall but basically love almost everything about a Season in particular about said show.
Also, for a good part of the Paris DLC I was thinking that there was gonna be another add on to the cult/order page. Was abit disappointed that it didn't happen.
Arno travels back in time just to go "Ey, stop it!"
I went into seige probably the same as everyone else, I had fairly low expectations but if I was honest I did have a fun experience with it, I enjoyed it, I also did enjoy the main game but I just feel looking back that it isn't as good as it could've been, but I do personally like the characters, odo felt human as did Richardis, but yep, I feel little sympathy for any of the kids, not every game needs to be rdr2
Apologise for the rant :)
How would you rate Valhalla out of 10

“Eivor will not join the hidden ones”
I feel like he will but like in the second to last dlc
they should have had Eivor join the hidden ones, idk if it would have detracted from his arc, but it would have at least made it feel like more of an “assassins creed game” still loved Vahalla though. I agree, playing how you want to play and not letting OCD kick in and have to get the yellow and blue dots on the map changes the way you experience the game.
Eivor might not become a hidden one but she can become a Templar with Alfred 👀
The game actually got better and when you explore and fight with HUDs off the game feels fun and immersed.
I really enjoyed the siege of Paris, more urban environments, the black box missions it was so good and kind of felt like assassins creed. I’m kind of hoping Ubisoft add in the option to play the expansions separately from the main game. Similar to how they did with origins.
This game just needs better crowd blending/ social stealth. Which is weird considering the older games did this mechanic well.
Every time you're asked to make a choice in an Assassin's Creed game that's Ubisoft spitting on your face.
I like how siegrfrieds look reminds me a bit of Rollo from Vikings.
Wraith of the druids was an expansion to the rise and grind of the game, pitting you against a whole new land, bosses and OP weapons (double spear breaks game). Cant wait to see this new DLC.
You played the DLC as I played the game. Turned of most hud, only went for the main quest, and I had a veeeeerry looooong movie :)
The strong French accent is the posh accent. So when it's stronger it's how royalty etc would sound. The weaker accent is more normal French.
So while it might sound fake to some who don't travel much etc It's not.
Its also the funniest to English speakers I feel. The accent people will do when doing French impressions.
I can't believe I downloaded over 80 GB of Valhalla, played for 5 minutes until I had to delete it 😭
I was waiting for your input! You always do such a great job!
When jayvee mocks the accents but also does a spot on impression
What we really need is a new assassin's creed game with Unity's Parkour, Witcher's story writing and questing, GOT combat or maybe Valhalla's combat with more variety of moves, and Origins' world design
If you said "do a bad French accent", I would 100% say "ha ha ha mon cherie"
I feel like you get funnier every video, or maybe I just keep falling harder for bad jokes 😂
hahaha well it sounds like I should stick with bad jokes? ;) thanks for watching dude 😃
I appreciate your two dlc videos because I havnt played since river raids were released. I did 100% of the game before that. So I needed this to see what I've missed. With that being said I'm gonna immerse myself for the next few months on this.
Just finished the assassin dlc in Legion, and let me just say, it respects the lore of AC more than modern day AC. I highly recommend anyone play it
i want the ac back where you were able to see how strong the enemy is by looking at his gear and when you went to the blacksmith to buy a better weapon which actually looked stronger instead of having a overpowered level 44 wooden stick as a sword
you didnt end the Bellatores Dei, we almost certainly will see them again, we only eliminated their group in that part of France
I hadn't played ACV since finishing it in January and i'm sure that helped with my enjoyment of Wrath of the Druids and Paris. It was nice to jump back in and it seems like it's running better on ps4, minus the god awful load times.
Bush was obviously high as a kite for that speech
1:03 I've never seen a wine glass(?) drop so quickly holy shit 🤣
Thanks man!! I definitely wanted more of a balance after last time. Glad it worked :)
Hahahahah “end of ze world” is amazing
I want to give some pros and cons from what I’ve played:
Pros:
-cool looking weapons even with mythical weapons
-graphics aren’t bad but I feel like it could be better, also there are some weird places where textures look like blurred clay or play-dough.
-I like the design of characters and how they look, love Vikings
-I also like how you can customize how your character looks with tattoos or different hair styles and colors
-some of the places where you go ally with people are great and get me sucked in, but other places weren’t that engaging
Cons:
-most of the time I felt like I was slogging through the game and wasn’t enjoying it as much as I did origins or odyssey through story and gameplay.
I've played over a
180 hours of AC Valhalla and have never once got any ads much less full screen pop-ups like that
I agree, i liked it way more than the main story and Wrath of the Druids, but i wish the Assassin's were a bigger part of the story, and not some background detail.
Parkour of unity, combat of ghost of Tsushima, multiplayer of unity, stealth of unity 10/10 game
I liked how we can plan assassinations but stealth mechanics needs improvements.
And also, why is Sigfried using a modified assassin outfit?
Like, that's never brought up, i thought there was gonna be more Hidden Ones lore through him, but nah, it's just a lazy asset reuse. Smh
I always think of J Cole when I hear that Bush clip lol
Just finished it, too. It looks like you also opt for more realistic armors as opposed to all those epic-magic-looking ones. And your Eivor has the same hair/stache as mine :) And the same horse!
This was my favorite dlc for Valhalla too
It's nice that Ubisoft release these DLC's but don't fix the original game
Too funny.
Overall I give it an 8/10
I think an assassins creed set on mexico would be pretty cool Spain vs the aztecs
The Witcher 3 blood and wine is exactly what this reminded me of
The End of ze world reference both killed me and made me feel old as dirt......
If you're complaining about northern Frances geography being too much like southern UK... have a word.
nope I'm complaining that this video game doesn't distinguish its areas enough. that was not an argument on realism, it was an argument on design choices
It would be cool if they created a dlc which Eivar ought to travel to Constantinopla and become a Varangian guard or even move to Iceland and create his own kingdom.
🤩
Anyway, great and honest reviews
Its a true curse on Ireland that we can never be portrayed properly in film or game
Spoilers ahead
I didn't even know Sigfred leaving his clan was an option, I battled and killed him.
The Golden Chests in that House... No! I'm that guy!
And here I thought I was the only one suffering the flamin Cheeto effect.
Am i the only one who also played all the AC games as they came out and love that they left the insanely repetitive gameplay behind?
