Made especially painful by the fact that they released 2 armor sets to the real money store, and only 2 in the whole DLC. Like I guess resources are tight under pandemic conditions, but apparently not tight enough to focus the dev work into the actual fukn game.
I've been replaying AC: Black Flag recently. Even though some mechanics are starting to show some age, it's a far more enjoyable experience than this game. Valhalla got to a point where progressing turned into a laborious chore.
@@PughanMcGregor The travelling between quests I always used the so called 'fast travel' option instead of the boat. And the raids I only did a few of them until my village was large enough. In other words I didnt like it much and was able to skip it. I conquered england in 58hours af. The storyline was a bit boring; ive played valhalla because of the fighting mechanics. Really liked the combat style. As I said, the beserker style of playing the viking(fast dual axes and daggers) is really nice. Got a nice Crit build, thegn armor with crit daggers
I was hoping it would have some really cool landscape, seems like a huge step back from odyssey’s Fate of Atlantis. Unfortunately I spent a overpriced amount of 40$ so gonna play it regardless than replay older ac games that are actually quite enjoyable and fun.

honestly, i didn't care for it. recycled animations for the different endings. and the siege of pairs isn't really like you said, the siege isn't as loose as the rest of the game. they also made all the lead men freak in crazy. you could tell long before anything happened how it was going to end. the thing is the characters were all over the place and not at all consistent which is why I knew where it was going. it was crap. like 2 different people were directing different parts of the game. also, the moose crap was dumb
ACV base was criticized for being way too long (rightly so). SoP was way too short and predictable. The environs were too familiar and not enough of Paris set itself apart from other locations visited previously. Perhaps it was history accurate but as a game it just felt the same as England. Ireland was better imo. Still, I enjoyed my time in Francia and freedom of gameplay. The rat plague ability is OP - loved it. Rebel missions sucked.
C'mon.... I spent watching 7:11 min on this video and you failed to answer the most important question. Does Siege of Paris continue Eviors story arc or is it like wrath of the druids.. a meaningless arc that does not make any meningful progress on Eviors story
It's more closely aligned to Eivor's story, but only because what's going on in Francia could impact the Raven clan in England. It's more about parallel goals than intersecting goals.
The main story is the real draw here. It's not a new game by any stretch, but if you play ACV for the story aspect I think it's a fine augmentation of our experience. Long...no, but a decent story.
@@LegacyGamingUS it's not a bad story, what there is of it.. its weird for an ac dlc. with hardly any ac content in it. Its a great viking game. I just expected more from a dlc. Not enough of a draw to keep me playing, shrug. The whole viking thing is boring imo.
I desperately thought for a whole year that there was a chance of a hidden ones story line , now I feel like an imbecile because it seems there will be no such thing
Next year it will, they have to sell the new season pass so they will bring in the big guns! Kassandra, hidden ones, perhaps Eivor will become one, i won't see it, trew the game in the dumpster.
I've already completed it and ngl I expected more, it took about 8 hours to complete, really disappointed ngl, I loved the story but the map is small and the story is short, not enough content at all, druids was longer and bigger than this
Honestly I'm getting sick of this early access f****** nonsense. Everybody's sick of it. When RUclipsrs get Early Access they spoil the content for everyone. Yeah when you Google Assassin's Creed Valhalla Siege of Paris it says release date August 12th yeah they mean August 12th for RUclipsrs... RUclipsrs needs to learn to respect the rules of an embargo they should not release videos until everyone has access to the content! Just like the first expansion most of these RUclipsrs got Early Access they never even finished the campaign lol.. just like I said back then people should only get Early Access as a RUclipsr if they actually played over a hundred hours and not just bought the game just make a quick buck.. I miss the old days when people play video games for fun and it wasn't for them to make quick cash
Just waiting for the next game now. I know some people didn’t care for them but I really liked Origins and Odyssey. I feel like character/story wise, this was a major step down.
I can feel that. This DLC story really worked for me. I love Charles as a character and hope they lean more into these types of over the top personalities in the future
Really wanted to like this dlc. Just finished Wrath and enjoyed it. But no.............. the dlc begins with another 105 lb Barbie-lookalike pretending to swing a sword, talking about how she likes battle, drinking ale and that she's gonna be a jarl some day.................. I just can't take this woke garbage anymore. Shame that Ubisoft feels compelled to cram this trash into what is otherwise a great game. You can make a case for a female Eivor because, face it, she's not really human. OK fine. Ditto Kassandra in Odyssey. But from Origins to Valhalla they've crammed more and more girls into armor to appeal to the 2% of gamers who clap like seals for such crap.
Killer rats that can not be killed .....? Seriously ubisoft this has to be the most annoying and dumb feature ever, The druid DLC was ok but way to easy to complete and lacked a strong story line.

Made especially painful by the fact that they released 2 armor sets to the real money store, and only 2 in the whole DLC. Like I guess resources are tight under pandemic conditions, but apparently not tight enough to focus the dev work into the actual fukn game.
@@LegacyGamingUS amazing story , i must say
PS4pro, i have to wait till Thursday :(
Is it free if you don't have season pass
Why would it be free without season pass? That doesn't make the slightest sense.
When!!!!!!! For season owners!!!!
I heard it's better than Unity! Can't wait to play it!
I've been replaying AC: Black Flag recently. Even though some mechanics are starting to show some age, it's a far more enjoyable experience than this game. Valhalla got to a point where progressing turned into a laborious chore.
Not for me. I hate ships and the beserker style of playing in valhalla was great for me. Dont mind to have stopped playing black flag
@@fixxa6455 How do you feel abouts the boats in Valhalla?
Bruh, why not just buy the Season pass? I never get why ppl buy DLCs separately, when SP is cheaper and has more content.
@@_UNISTAR_ I did buy the pass forever ago it was 40$
How long is the DLC? Main mission n side missions?
slightly longer than Wrath of the Druids i heard
@@byksEBM nope it's shorter than the Druids one
You can Dual wield two scythe's mhm YEP that alone makes this dlc worth it
The DLC fucking rocks!!!!!! Assassin’s Creed is GOAT in video games. Almost has me mad that I didn’t play it when I was a kid. Oh yeah, I’m 41! So it probably wasn’t out when was a kid!😂
Review starts at 1:00.
Any gamebreaking bug during the dlc?
I had a few crashes, but I was on an early access build so it's hard to say if that's relevant to the public release.
honestly, i didn't care for it. recycled animations for the different endings. and the siege of pairs isn't really like you said, the siege isn't as loose as the rest of the game. they also made all the lead men freak in crazy. you could tell long before anything happened how it was going to end. the thing is the characters were all over the place and not at all consistent which is why I knew where it was going. it was crap. like 2 different people were directing different parts of the game. also, the moose crap was dumb
@4:54 He just completely obliterated his fucking 🐻 😂😂😂😂 poor Bear.
I made Eivor look like Uhtred too 😆
ACV base was criticized for being way too long (rightly so).
Yes. It does
It's more closely aligned to Eivor's story, but only because what's going on in Francia could impact the Raven clan in England. It's more about parallel goals than intersecting goals.
No, its not. No need to watch 7 minutes. Appreciate the work tho. No hate involved..
*YOU TOOK A GAME WITH FLUFF AND ADDED MORE FLUFF????*
Surprised at the lack of content for a dlc. It's basically a long quest. I did it in a few hours. Time to uninstall again lol.
@@jeffdur1330 totally agree
@@lordmclavanne if Paris would of been as involved as Ireland it would of been way better.
Vikings creed
I desperately thought for a whole year that there was a chance of a hidden ones story line , now I feel like an imbecile because it seems there will be no such thing
There is definitely something this time around. It’s a cool tease to more hidden ones in the future
@@LegacyGamingUS what do you mean? It's only 1 more ruin with only a sword as a reward.
Next year it will, they have to sell the new season pass so they will bring in the big guns!
Kassandra, hidden ones, perhaps Eivor will become one, i won't see it, trew the game in the dumpster.
Really fun game there is too much side stuff but the main game was fun and I have both dlcs to try out
Imagine you the king of your homeland….. and everyone calls you fat.
I mean I already payed for the season pass, mine as well get my money's worth of gameplay.
Not buying another ubisoft product ever again.
Fix the game some textures like spikes and metal beams looks like a ps2 game and you have to wait like a minute to get fixed... ps5 btw
I've already completed it and ngl I expected more, it took about 8 hours to complete, really disappointed ngl, I loved the story but the map is small and the story is short, not enough content at all, druids was longer and bigger than this
druids wasnt longer was it? It was also full of boring traversing a relatively empty desolate land. I mean come on it had no World events!!
I didn’t necessarily hate this dlc, but it being this short in length was extremely disappointing.
Is wraith of the druids longer?
@@blitzkrieg3482 yeh
It’s Fraunkensteen…
Ubisoft really likes foggy weather... 😏
They sure do lol

Does it change dual spears still being so good, or gae bolg being so powerful? No? Well, I guess I could try checking it out still.
Aghhhhh, I felt there were plenty of memorable characters in this game from the start.. the writing has never been an issue in this game.
For me, Charles really stands out, more than most characters in Valhalla. There are some good supporting roles, but he's a true standout
@@LegacyGamingUS Who was Charles again??
I really liked Sigurd, Basim, Fulke, Ceobert and Oswald to name a few.
1st comment! 😆😆 Love AC, my favorite until today is Syndicate
Play Ezio Trilogy, Black Flag and Origins. They are the best IMO and they are Masterpieces
@@arthurmorgan7026 i played them all and origins is the one I like the least
@@moisesnoyola8705 What? It's one of the best 👌.
Ah..opinions
I hope the load times have been reduced
Probably not on last gen
Just waiting for the next game now. I know some people didn’t care for them but I really liked Origins and Odyssey. I feel like character/story wise, this was a major step down.
I can feel that. This DLC story really worked for me. I love Charles as a character and hope they lean more into these types of over the top personalities in the future
This wasn’t a review.
Too bad the game is still RIDDLED with game breaking bugs but, yeah keep adding to the cash shop ubisoft.
The rebel mission was a giant fail... total pointless ..
Totally agree
I like playing the game series but it still feels like Ubisoft is slowly moving away from the main theme
I love the DLC but I HATE THE 🐀!!!!
Killer rats that can not be killed .....? Seriously ubisoft this has to be the most annoying and dumb feature ever, The druid DLC was ok but way to easy to complete and lacked a strong story line.
Nope it is not worth it at all I got corrupted data three times when I downloaded siege of paris so I am pretty much done with valhalla and ubisoft
I couldn’t get into this game at all odyssey was way better
can't wait but some reason ps players are behind..
No
This is All cool new content but why are there no hott women at all in acv lol jus saying 🤷😂
