its David's best performance. He did an amazing job. When i read the title to this clip, this episode popped up straight away in my head. It was hard to feel a tear coming on when watching davids performance.
I started off not liking Rodney....but over the course of SG-1 and Atlantis....you start to love this guy. So this episode was devastating to my emotions......David Hewlett did an excellent job in this episode.
I cried, too, there are episodes of TV series I can't watch more than once cause they're so good and so gut wrenching and this one of them, just like DS9 "The Visitor" is another
I'm watching SG Atlantis again and yes this episode is emotional. Thank you for sharing this. By the way l watch all the Stargates once a year and sometimes more. My favorite.
I am also watching it periodically, but once a year is now too often for me. I was so happy that i saw Farscape before SG, just because of Ben Browder AND Claudia Black later in SG1. Sg1 is the top sci-fi show of all time for me, followed by Farscape :D
Thanks David, it's always great to see Kate, she appears in my all time favourite episodes of Stargate Atlantis, and I always hoped she would appear in more episodes. I had a massive crush on her character, and during these interviews I still find her absolutely adorable. :-)
"The Shrine" was such a poignant and moving episode, so well acted too between Kate & David...a testament to the writing as well, I defy anyone to not be moved emotionally by this episode.
Kate will forever stay in my memory. Her first episode started with her family life and that scene was the first time in my life I actually realized I want a family. She's literally so cute it made me a family man :D
What the movie industry is trying to do with the unions is a shame. I have cancelled all streaming services and I will keep it that way until they cave to the unions. Netflix, Disney, you name it. And everyone else should do the same. If there is a streaming service that supports the unions, let us know - I'm sure they will get tons of new customers.

This is my all time favorite episode because it hits you in the gut and it's quite relatable to anyone dealing with similar situations.
I loved the episodes that had David and Kate in them, they played the part of siblings so realistically! 😉
The Shrine was one of the best television episodes I've ever watched. Kate and David MADE it that way. Just heartwrenchingly Beautiful. ❤
Just thinking of "The Shrine" gives me goosebumps remembering David's acting - which is very much enhanced by everyone around him.
This episode is gut wrenching .. but beautiful. I have to emotionally be prepared for it!

The Shrine was really great and so, so heartbreaking

I loved watching Jeannie playing with her daughter and the train set!
The ending, lovely!! 💪❤️
My favorite episode!!! THANKS!!!
It is my favorite episode too
I’m sitting watching this Episode right now. All around a great story and the Hewett’s are playing the scenes just right.

Is this clip from an episode that is available to watch? I love the shrine
Yes! You can find the full interview linked in the description above.
If you didn't weep hard every time you watch this episode (The Shrine) you're not human.
OK she sleeps in a sarcophagus. "Mrs. Jeannie Miller" was almost 20 years ago! She hasn't aged a day.
I liked the Kate Hewlett character (and the actress) sorry she was on
only a couple episodes.
First comment
so what what age are you?
