My idea of a cold weather activity is hot cocoa and a fire! I am a summer girl, and don't especially like winter! If I were to go to a mountain destination, I would be in the lodge by a roaring fire drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows! This, as always was a fun, and informational shop a long!
Wow! I never thought I’d say this but I miss snow. Here in North Carolina we rarely, in the area I’m in anyway, ever get snow. Adam, my grandson never saw snow, and that’s sad. I was born and raised in NY, and seeing the mountains so beautiful with snow touches my heart. That small dress form, would look great with Moulds on it then painted. I made a small one and medium one.
Cant wait to see the chest and dresser! I had a cedar chest i got for $20 4 years ago but finally had to give it away for free! No time to refinish it and no room to store it! 😢
I simply cannot believe the good, quality items your thrift shops have! And the furniture pieces available is absolutely amazing!!! To top it all off the prices things are marked at is shocking! (Wonderful however) Really, I’m quite envious because around here a frame like Zeb picked up (solid wood 8 X 10) wood with no picture, would be at least $30, generally higher. Nice frames with paintings are around $$100.00, often times much more. I loved what y’all picked up today though.

They had so much fun! I put some videos on my Facebook and Instagram stories. I stayed home and did laundry and cleaned up from our painting projects. It was a win win.
Per another comment i read, No you aren't taking from the poor (and depending on the thriftstore you're shopping at you probably aren't helping the poor as much as you'd think) that said none of us have the same lense we're looking thru (while I also love greenery, I loathe fake flowers. Some of the things some of you decide to paint white I would leave the beautiful stain or patina on), theres also much to be inspired by and thats okay. I'd be inclined to see what someone could find thats most certainly headed to the trash to restore, fix or upcycle. We so easily co tribute to the landfill without giving it a second thought. Also you're helping someone else whonmaybe doesnt have the time or no how to find decor in your shop they like (that they may have passed in the thriftstore). Happy Thrifting!

Did they get the cedar chest? I didn't see them load it. So many great finds. Winter is full blown cold here. So I have a couple of storage sheds. And hubbies shop along with our project home, in progress to shop at. Its cold but worth the cheap prices free. Lol ❤

Absolutely! Especially Deseret Industries it all goes to charity and they do vocational training for all their employees. Lots of people work there that need job training.

I think that ceramic chicken with the cut out - is for s & p shakers. Egg shaped?
Just put the cat candle holder in the freezer for a couple of hours. Then the candle will shrink and pop right out 🐱

I grew up in Calexico and we did have super cold weather sometimes. It was crazy.
