NEW YEAR DECORATING 2024 HOME DECORATING IDEAS: No-Sew Pleated Lampshades, Customizing Furniture, Decor Hanging Hack! Хобби
I think painting the wall green will be nice, but I would bring the fireplace back to its original wood or just strip the paint off and stain it dark like your base boards & windows. It’s a shame it was ever painted white.
*Elizabeth, I really L🤍VED this video...just everything about it...videography, style, design, decor, and just the right amount of talking - and AS ALWAYS - the BEST SELECTION OF MUSIC 🎶🎵 🎶 CAPPED OFF WITH A LOVING, INTIMATE SCRIPTURE FROM OUR HOLY BIBLE❣️☝️✝️ 🙏💜*
*YES, I believe your dining room would be so lovely with green walls - and an unpainted fireplace 🔥 surround and mantel. Thank you for soliciting our opinions❣️🤍🤎 Happy 🎉🎈🎉🥳🎉🎈🎉🎉New Year‼️🎩🎊*
Love the green 💚 however, I would probably take the paint off of the fireplace and restore it to its original warm wood tone. Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be beautiful.
Your dining room would look absolutely gorgeous painted green.
I enjoy all of your content and when you go thrifting you go slower than most folks and I can see things much better! I enjoy how thorough you do things and I like the music too. I Like the green color also. You just have really good taste on your style and thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤
I love it when you take us along thrifting with you and your mum so please continue 🥰
I also think you should paint your dining room as it would give it even more personality and character ❤😊
Hi Julie! I’ll make sure you take you along next time 🥰
My husband and I enjoy all your thrifting videos.
The green paint would be very pretty and look cozy, but it also might make the dining room look smaller.
We appreciate that you always end your videos with a scripture. We too believe.
He's Faithful,
The Flowers, in Ohio 💐
Yes!! Paint it green. That would look so good.
I think painting the walls is a great idea. Possibly half of the wall and maybe wall paper the upper half. You are going in the right direction I feel. Good luck.
The sage green is my favorite color. It looks great with wood trim. I don't think you'd be disappointed.
Elizabeth we painted our whole downstairs in a sage green which is of course a neutral and we absolutely love it! I think green would be so beautiful in that room. Those, shades, stools and shelves look great and I am wanting to now try a pleated shade but I had neve seen it done with ribbon and that looks like would be so much easier than cutting strips of fabric, thanks for the inspiration! Beautiful home you have!
I think the green would go very well in your room. The sample pictures you used help a great deal in seeing how it could look .
Love your content and showing how you use your thrifted finds.
Thank you for the Bible quotes at the end of your videos ❤
Thank you for sharing your hack hanging the shelves for the transferware! Love that putty, a Decorator’s secret! ❤️👏❤️
LOVE the green as an accent wall. I would also strip the paint off the fireplace and enjoy the natural beauty of the wood
That shade of green would be perfect for your dining room!
I think green would be beautiful in your dining room and on your fireplace! Just has to be the right shade of green. I'd get a few samples of shades you like and paint some thin boards and put them up in the room. That way you can see it transition through the different times of day :) can't wait to see what you choose!
I think the green will look beautiful in your room.
I like the green. Will give it a moody feeling and very warm classic look. Some portrait pictures (vintage type) would be fabulous.
Yes!!! Paint the dining room deep green.
💚💚💚
Really enjoyed the video. Loved your idea of putting the tassel trim on the little stools. Made such a nice difference ! I would put the fireplace back to its original wood. Will be watching for more of your videos!
I love all the idea of painting the fireplace a beautiful shade of green! My favorite color so I’m partial lol.. I enjoyed all of your decorating ideas Elizabeth ❤
I love the new rug and ALL the dIY’s. I love how you make decor your own.
That an ottoman came out so precious!!! ❤ and painting the cords genius 😂❤️
I can so appreciate that. Hope you and your loved ones. Have a wonderful and blessed new year.💕
Elizabeth, I think the green paint for the walls will be beautiful. Stripping the fireplace down to its original color would pop on the green painted walls and look beautiful. You have such great decorating ideas. I just love the old windows in your home. Your home is absolutely beautiful❤
Great ideas! Painting your dining room would look beautiful and cozy!!
Love the green for dining room and I do enjoy seeing all your thrift hauls ❤
I like what you did with your shelves!
We renovated a 1902 Victorian and used that green. Loved it- looks great with the dark wood.
I love all of the woodwork in your house. I think the green would look great! Green is my favorite color.
Yes, on the color on the walls! Yes!
💚💚💚
Painting the dining room green is a great idea!
💚💚💚
Enjoyed today's video! First..YES please continue to take us along on your thrifting/antiqueing shopping adventures!! I totally enjoy those 100%. I love the little DIY lamp shades and the foot stool trim, so pretty. Those dinning chairs are beautiful also! I vote yes to the green paint! Before we moved from NC, when my son was younger, my living room and hallway walls were that pretty green, I'm pretty sure the name of the paint was 'Basil Green' by Sherwin Williams.. loved it!
Hi Tammy! Thank you for freedback about the kind of videos you like watching here 🥰 I will have to look that color up, choosing just the right shade is always so hard 💚

I think green paint would look really nice. Go with what you’re feeling, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Dining room definitely needs color. I love the green
Anything you do to your home will be beautiful!! I’d love the green wall color. I have a lot of that color in my living room. With all your wood trim, it would be so pretty. As always, love the Bible passage. God bless you and your family.
I think your dining room would look great painted a green color but not too dark. I also think you should strip the mantle and stain it to match your trim.
I love all of the unpainted trim in your home. It is so gorgeous.
Blessings to you and your family.
Hi Donna! I’m not sure I want to undertake such a big project, but I could find another fireplace surround that is already stained wood…
Love the green color and the antique table, now that's beautiful!!!!!, Your ottomans should be velvet maybe some kind of antique rich material, but the antique table or a big old farm table with antiques chairs in your dining area with your mantel brought back to it's rich dark color would be beautiful.....and love love your thrifting videos!!!!! Just love it when you buy things!!!!!!
I’m looking for an antique dark wood table, so far I haven’t found the right one. Hopefully soon!
Love the tassel project on the ottomans. It really dresses them up🪴
I think so too!!
Thank you, Elizabeth, beautiful, good ideas, nice tips, thank you for the Passage from the bible
I Think dark wood table and chairs will look nice with the green
I am obsessed with greens now. I love the English Green❤
I like the green.
Set your plates on a stand. Makes them look special.
Instead of the plate shelf they’re on? I don’t follow…
Your thrifted little shelves would be perfect for cup and saucer display too.
🥰
Enjoyed this video and what a great idea about taping art to glass frame. I love to change and update my home seasonally. You certainly have a good eye for decor and detail.❤
Yes green would be beautiful
Se ve muy bien con el color verde 🌿
I love the green
I absolutely love everything you do!
Great video. I love the trim you put on the ottomans. I also love the two little brown shelves with the plates. I like thrifting videos and how you style the thrifted items.
It's ok. Yes, I have notifications on. I don't do Instagram. Will catch it next time. Thanks

Love what you did with those ottermans .

Yes love the green and also agree bring the fireplace back to the original wood it would complicate your green walls the brass vase would give the green and wood fireplace the warmth
Hi Pat! I do think that would look really nice too… I’m just not sure I’m ready to take on that project of stripping it down in the house in the middle of winter 😆
I love the black shades, the table you got was such a great find. The green wall would look good on the wall.
Thank you Sharon!!

Will do!! 🥰
I just painted my dining room and hallway green with white trim and it looks really good. All my wall decor pops now! The green also brings out the beauty of the brown wood grain.
I think it would too!
Hello my friend! I had to stop it when you put the green fabric against the dining room wall, yes, yes, yes! And the fireplace the same shade of green will be fabulous! It will take that room to a whole new level. I absolutely adore the color green… And that lighter shade will be gorgeous in there…. That seven dollar table has me drooling.😂. Sending you much love… And I can’t help it here… As I’m watching the day after Michigan won… Go blue, my friend.💙💛💙😜👏🏻
Yes this green is beautiful. ☺️👍And would look amazing.
Thank you for your feedback 💚💚💚
Yes to the green!
Green Is Making A Huge Comeback In The Interior Design World. Your Vintage Table Runner Is A Beautiful Example
Of Such A Shade. Yes ! ... Grab Your Paint Tray And Roller, And ... Go For It ! ~ Happy New Year !
Thank you!! This is just the motivation I needed 🙌💚
Love your changes! Anxious to see what’s next. ❤
Love what u did, and yes, I love the green, I painted my fireplace green and love it🌹
Yes paint the dining room. !!!! Absolutely. It would have been painted originally. They didn’t favor white walls then.
It would have been wallpapered in the 1800s. The room definitely needs painted because there are tons of spots that need touched up, but I don’t know the paint color the previous owners used in here and it’s a flat paint, so it can’t be cleaned. 😅
I love the fringe u put on the stools, so cute❤
I love the idea of a green paint on the wall and the fireplace. Those examples you showed were both beautiful! I always enjoy your videos; whether they are shopping or decorating or a makeover! ❤😊
I like greens I was thinking you could take the paint off the mantle and stain it but it would be a lot of work and a real labor of love. I agreed right away with you, white chippy is out ( and overdone ). Best wishes with all your projects in your lovely home.

I love the green!
I think you need a little bit bigger plate in the niche above the shelves.....just try it...........
I love everything you do!
The green paint on the walls would look great especially with the new chairs. I loved the wall sconces with pull cords. Are they original or new?
Love love love the Green walls! I have been wanting to paint my gray outdated trend walls from 2020 GREEN! lol it would look so beautiful because your walls have the beautiful dark wood trims. I hope you go for it! :) Also I started laughing when I saw you put the painters tape behind the shelf because I always have trouble figuring out the position of where I need to make holes on my walls like it should be common sense for someone to figure the tape thing out lol!
That colour on your wall in a lighter shade will be fabulous Elizabeth…and a tip for you as well is to wrap your cords with twine or something to help them blend in. Tracey from Rural Refurd on RUclips is great at doing that…🥰🇦🇺
Green is my color soo yes. Love the drop leaf table for $7 whattt. 😊
💚💚💚
Hi Elizabeth. Oh I think the light green walls in your dining room would be so beautiful with all your gorgeous wood tones in there. Perfect choice. And the fringe you added to those foot stools looks so pretty. You always come up with such great ideas which is why I get so excited when I see you have a new video out.
Loved your video today Elizabeth. The tassel trim you added to the matching ottomans really dressed them up and made them look more vintage. I think painting your dinning room and fireplace the celery green would look beautiful. That shade of green is very neutral and will look so nice with all of your seasonal decorations. Hope your week is blessed! ❤
Love the green 😊
Good to know 💚💚💚
Love the black metal shades on the dining room wall sconces with the small oil paintings below. Very nice. And yes, that soft moss green would look amazing in the dining room! Wow.... those little shelves in the recessed arches are perfect!!!!! I'm sure you will have fun decorating them through the seasons.
Everything is beautiful! I loved the table! What a great deal! Yes, please take us thrifting with you! I enjoy it so much! Thank you for sharing your home!!❤

I absolutely loved how you redecorated your ottomans, loved the idea using the fringe!
Your dropleaf table reminds me of my dining room table, except mine is a gateleg table. It’s so practical, especially when you have to vacuum, or just space.
Thank you for the tip with putting up your little shelf and painting the cords to match! Like yourself it grates on my nerves! Hopefully, my husband won’t think I’m mad! lol!
Can’t wait to see what things you do to redecorate your rooms.
Yes, the green is amazing. I love your home…❤
