- Hello RUclips Friends! In today's video, I'll share how I have some old and thrifted decor pieces a fresh new look to suit my old world style for Summer! I hope you enjoy this video and get some inspiration to jazz up some of your decor or maybe go thrifting for a few pieces to makeover for your home. Deborah, I can literally watch you painting for hours - even if it's shells. I don't know why, but any thing coastal, I'm not drawn to. The two large "hanging cones" came out beautiful!

Thank you! My front porch has been invaded by amphibians! 😆 I had to move most of my potted plants inside already, but I left a few for them to enjoy. They make a mess burying themselves in the soil and scare me when I go to water them or move the pot or anything. Little stinkers! 🐸🦎

I never mix up my seasons, I love fall, but it is still summer. I only start putting fall stuff up for the 1st day of September. Those shells are beautiful.

I love all of them! They are like ancient pottery. I actually covered raised fruit on a pottery jar. It turned out so cool. You would never know there was fruit on it.

Oh Deborah! You never cease to amaze me with your talents. Everything turned out beautifully but I particularly loved the shells and bookends. The blending of colors were so pretty and brought such richness to the items. I have learned so much from you over the years and have applied many of the techniques you share in my own home decor. Deborah, these were fabulous! I can’t help but to tell you again that I SO enjoy when you paint! The way you blend and the colors you choose are wonderful. I have thought so ever since you painted that little cut glass bowl from Dollar Tree!! I’m not ready to fully embrace fall either!

Oh lady I am loving all of these transformations. You know I like the lighter finishes! You did such an amazing and realistic job on the shell pieces. I have a very large shell that was my fathers that has layers of build up on it and yours look so similar even though yours started out life as porcelain. I had an idea for your candle shells with the stands. You could put them in the freezer and remove the candles then use them as diffusers with the sticks. I'm guessing you could even just find a bottle with the sticks small enough to slip down in there as well so you don't have to pour the diffuser liquid in the shell itself and not see the bottle. Wouldn't that be awesome? I think so, now I'm gonna be on the lookout for something similar. Looking forward to your decorating video! Hugs!
