Spent alot of time chatting to her..... I wonder if that lumber wasn't the only wood you wanted to deliver
Widen your forks when moving 20' material, distributes the weight more evenly, also that is minimal damage to the lumber.
Not the milkman.
Not the mailman
The lumberman!
Thats one piece of lumber. Most lumber companies send an extra one or 2 for these exact issues, you handled it well
Yes. If there’s an exception on the lumber tally or visible damage to some of the sticks of lumber, make a note of it on the delivery manifest and have the driver acknowledge it with a signature. Stuff happens and there is always the possibility of SOME pieces being damaged.
That should be part of customer service from the yard with the customer-not the carrier.
Respect never goes out of style!
Haha. He shut off the machine at the end to talk her into starting up the car. Or to make out with her. You decide.
You done good, a problem solver, give that man a raise
Mike , long time since you have posted your videos. Good to hear your voice and see your great work . Thanks for posting !
Always love your delivery videos. Mike, keep them coming have a good day, brother!🫡
Damage happens so Customers just need to deal with it at the Store.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
It's framing lumber, Lady, not a Grand Piano !
No, she said they're for a pergola, so they'll be seen.
She asked a legit question, if its' damaged why did they ship it? I would want to know as well!
Love the dog....
It's been a long time since I watched your Video's because you were Driving on the Road. It's Good to see you Back doing these Videos again. Keep Up The Great Video's Coming And Always Be Safe Out There.
This lady fretting about that miniscule amount of "damage" is hilarious
Simply a case of someone that is not in the know. She paid for good quality and did not get it.I have the same thing with my wife."That piece of wood is a different color. LOL
she was only haggling for a discount
The price of construction materials......that stuff should be AAA grade, 1st class, top tier goods. Not that it involves the delivery guy but, cmon man.
If the driver felt like the damage was worth pointing out, he should have offered to take it back.
@@calvincoolidge5545 And the driver did offer to take it back, multiple times in fact.
Thank you for the videos very educational now I understand expectations from both parties , Home Depot should have a simple 5 point checklist for people to sign to prevent problems for you
I haven't watched you in awhile,
Good delivery dude.😊
Came on my feed today. Been a long time off my feeds.
Welcome back!
@SaffordDelivery Are you back delivering again? Last I knew, you were turning your equipment in and going to do something else.
That's cool how you have the forklift mounted on the back of the flatbed like that. Never seen it done like that before.
haven't seen your videos in a while. Love your dog.
Now I know why my deliveries are late.
As a contractor; there will always be nicked wood & slight twists. I have never had a load of wood that is perfect, It's usually all workable though.
I had to sort through a pile of 2X4s at Home Depot to get 6 straight ones, the clerk told me I could not sort, I told him that was a great idea, you get me 6 straight ones. End of conversation!
I love watching your videos and your commentary is priceless ! oh yeah i always hit the like button first so I don't forget.
You're the best!
Can remember my easy going dad telling a distant cousin like this that after 10 minutes still could not give him a simple answer finally told her to shit or get off the pot. Her husband called my dad up and tried to rip him a new ahole but my dad said he was doing a free full day of work for free and to get somebody else to do the work.
Finally a competent apprentice.
People on utube always want you to donate and it is the same thing he must deliver for free
i use to do the moffet thing for Lowes......what a pain and contractors and customers dont get it.......we are human too and machines can only do so much safely
Thumbs up to the co driver. 😀❤️👍
Just park the truck and Audi on the front lawn away from the driveway, how difficult can that be?
Damned difficult for the elitists.
Maybe a bit more editing, tighten the story down a bit.
I keep hearing where to put it!! I think everyone knows where they want to put it!!😮 Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't!!
With all that restricted space it was certainly a mental challenge to work out where to put what .
17:45 Surprise ending, I guess you stopped for a cup of tea.
That little bit of damage is nothing.
Just a little trick for ya..cut the end of ur strap crank and insert it in a cordless drill and save u a ton of time...
i would take a picture before taking it off the trailer to note that it was there previously.
What do you think a video is?😂
Everyone watching the load, and the delivery...I was watching the homeowner...she was a hottie.
🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You don't get out much do you!!
@@mikef4776 Dont be so hard on lawdog.....Heck at my age the only requirment would be the woman has to be alive....
I give the customer credit for having the material delivered, but the thought process for what to do with it when it arrives is very disappointing. My driveway is 12ft wide, why can’t you carry a 20ft board down the lane?
Not bad ⚡️
Did same job without the cameras !
Thanks long time subscriber . Videos haven't shown on my feeds for a long time. 🙋
Welcome back!
You call that damage lol? That's nothing but home owners don't understand for the most part i would be more concerned about twisted pcs' that you always get with long lengths in the heat of the summer. Most treated have bark that looks way worse then forklift damage
How hard was it to communicate to just move the fkg car ffs !😆
Gaz UK
Bro I swear to g d if I was standing in a room with my back to you I would think 100 percent that John c Riley was talking .you sound identical to him .that's so cool I wish you would use some of his lines in your videos 🤙

love your videos
She has the decision-making ability and foresight of an Oblivion NPC.
Mike, i just started watching your channel, then i see a vid saying you are saying goodbye but then you are still making videos?
That is not even damage!
Right? It's rough green treated lumber!
Being an ex flat bed driver my self custom's don't think how you get them in the driveway they must think we magically transport them there no matter how big the load is
I thought you were on a tight schedule? You sure spent alot of time talking to that customer! Sounded like you were trying to get an invite to her bedroom!😂😂😂
I wanted to hear the Audi
those things are money pits@@SaffordDelivery
That's a fine looking older woman and I'd spend all day in her bedroom 😅
@@SaffordDeliveryright……kids just left and the husband isn’t home. handle that!

Dude, you create problems by talking to much. The job is deliver not try to make buddies. She doesn't give a hoot about your Subaru or you.
Some people like to talk, some people like being talked to. Or maybe you might someone's day by striking up a conversation.
If he didn’t create the problem by talking too much, he would not have a RUclips channel and the income therefrom. It is deliberate.
Agree!! Just deliver and don’t invite more issues. It’s alot safer cause people in general are problematic!!

Home Depot has been CURBSIDE DELIVERY since 1990 as far back as I can recall. The Customer even signs the DELIVERY Agreement stating CURBSIDE DELIVERY at the time of Purchase. A friend of mine, formerly a Home Depot Delivery driver, would many times bring the Customer's Order back to the Store because they insisted he Deliver it where they wanted it. If a Driver Elects to Cower Down to the Customer and play the Customer's game. The DRIVER is 100% Liable for ALL damages caused by the Fork Lift.
Thanks for sharing
customer signs paper saying they will not hold them liable for any damages during delivery.
@@you7uber5 HD will still charge us back for damages
@@you7uber5 More like They Signed to the understanding that the Delivery is CURBSIDE.
@@curtekstrom9531 maybe it was another place I got them but I know the last one I actually read said any damage done due to customer wanting delivered to certain locatiion company nor driver would be responsible for damage
Good to see your vidjias again 😎👍
long time sub. really enjoy your channel
Is this guy delivering "Bay are Transparency "?
Post some new truck content! Taking a guess you’re in good service or pulling a van now though
Its not that bad at all.
Your lucky u don't have deliver to refrigerated warehouses with long wait times before backing in
Get a room you 2
I understand you're not a representative of the store, and so you have to be careful about what advice you could suggest, but I'd say "I don't work for the store and don't know what their policies are on damaged goods, but the lumber was damaged before it was loaded onto my truck and the Home Depot manager is aware of and signed off on its condition. I'd recommend taking a few pictures of the damage while it's on my truck and then inspect every board and document any hidden damage, then open up a claim with the Home Depot manager. Here's their business card. I hope they can make you whole. I'm not in control of any of that process as I don't work for Home Depot. I work for a 3rd party contract delivery company and my responsibility is to transport the goods to your house in the condition they were given to me. With that said, your options are to refuse the entire delivery and work out a solution with Home Depot or you can accept the load and file a claim for the damaged goods."
You had Time to chat-up the Chicks this Time didn’t you !
I was at a gas station a while back. On the other side of the pump was one of those Audi supercars. Man when that thing fired up it freaking sounded like some kind of wildcat. I swear that thing screamed when they hit the ignition.
I think what you're searching for to say is to keep it properly balanced, you know, yes, I used to work in a big redwood lumber yard. They cut trees trunks into dimensionable size lumber, and I always start in the center, of course. But you just kind of pick up, you know, a little bit. then when both ends up off the ground, the whole load's gonna sag a little. It just been cut, but not banded. Lift it up, test the balance. see where it sits. Adjust as needed to get it. properly balanced. Tell everybody to stay away. When I carry the stickers? Put them on the forklift. I see one like a dollar bill. Go pick it up or stash it some place where Get to it fast.
I’ll drop the lumber, but the pipe will be free
That knot on the board above it has a more detrimental impact than the one area of "damage" . It's framing lumber, get over it.
low key just go over the vehicles, if the wood hold's itself on the forks going up is always a option
Even when they finally agree with him he kepts Yacking and Yacking and Yacking. I'll bet he talks to himself
Maybe she wanted 20foots but wasn't really sure what that really looked like.
Less talk more work!!
I understand curbside delivery ...Question who is liable for any property damage past the curb ?
Our company
@@SaffordDeliverySo why on Earth would you do that?

Don't you require permission from anyone you record and show their face if your making money from RUclips? Or is it only on someone else's property? Awesome channel btw!
If your in public you can be recorded.
@@pondhopper24 Except when he is on private property, you have no right what so ever to record someone in that case.

Hello Mike 👋👋
👋👋👋❤️
It's called dunnage and is quite normal.
Once you start talking with car guys or girls it's hard to get off that subject and get back on track😊
Hey guy been watching ya fer awhile....my 21 yr old son has 2 Subarus 1 left hand drive and the other is right hand drive, his left hand drive had to go to the dealer, to have struts put in new ones, Subaru had a recall on that , he took it in last summer I believe and this thur he is gettinga new turbo put on...I forget what yrs they, r when I find out I'll let ya know...we also did the suspension in the left drive as well ya that was...NOT, and he is on his 2nd motor bought 1 from China well a great shot put it in and as soon as they started it, it had a rod knock...so I guess hes on the 3rd one lol...oh well I'll find out the yrs on the cars if your interested piece out
Yes let us know!
Hopefully your Mother would never Have a delivery driver treat Her like you do. Get a different job, you're not cut out to do customer delivery.
Just tell her which car to move. Asking her to think is just way too much it seems. I hope she is not building what ever the wood is for.
A
YOU TAKE IT OFF THE TRUCK RIGHT THE FIRST TIME !! THERE WOULD BE NO QUESTIONS !! 🤣🤣🤡🤬👌👌👀👀👍
Cool customer
Some people!?! If you listen, you hear him clearly say that the load comes off like to airplane wings. So, you don't debate where it can go & then offer up another location instead, & then change your mind with this reasoning or that. You drive them both off the lot & park them on the street "allowing" the delivery driver enough room to maneuvre around the back of the trailer because he has to back his bobcat off of it. And once it is all delivered, you drive your vehicles back onto the property. Period!
And the damage? Ask her to take a pic & send it to her husband or whoever is doing the work with the lumber and ask them if the minor non structural damage is going to create any problems with the project. Then there is no "wondering" about any of the situation.
that is a no no twisted straps
Hey, you delivering again?
It's only 20 foot lumber. Try 40 foot 8x12 beams.
With that being said, I couldn't do your job delivering curbside and dealing with customers.
Seems like a razor knife could trim those splinters up nice enough to not be noticed. Maybe a couple swipes with a bastard file.
I was an electrician and found out the dumbest questions & request were made by the smartest high IQ people. How many times did this nice easy guy tell this lady about the extra wide load?
People with high IQ tend to have low EQ
I had a friend back in day, he told me that his workmate had a very high IQ but absolutely no common sense.
WideLoad ICANT
Ask for a 70% refund on the one dammaged board take pictures of it on the truck, it should have been on the discounted pile.
But honestly if your making something with it the contractor can probably hide or remove that and youll never see it in the finnish product. I doubt this is a 20' pergula the dammage is miminal
HD is not where you go for good lumber. It’s where you go for good-enough lumber.
Where would you like the load ma’am 😮😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
That's not MILF hunting, just doing a great job for the customer making them feel comfortable.
Why do u americans call a Subaru for SUBURU?
Lady: "Yeah, he just picked the load of his truck and he is definitely laughing like a mad scientist or something..."
is that your new Peterson riding shotgun? 🤣
Since when did moving a vehicle become a government operation?
