A lot of the tension comes from the eighth note displacement that comes from the 6/8 section being repeated an odd number of times.
I've seen Messhugah one time when they came to my country, Argentina. When I got out of the concert I was shocked, literally. The sound of the band was mind-blowing.

THAT track, in my own personal experience, wasn’t something I picked up right away. I must have had some 10-15 runs of Obzen before 3;22 of Pineal Gland Optics really sold it for me, and well from there on out it always became a treat to listen to, back then and now.
I’m surprised it even got 100 views, so I don’t even know how much reach this one will get but I’m glad you liked it! I’ll keep posting what I’ve recorded in a similar style and see where things go from there.

What makes this particular band special is that many people like them but nobody can really agree what track or album is unanimously on top of another, it’s as if each album is on a different dimension compared to another album and so it’s never an apples to apples kind of thing. I have quite a bit of full recordings from many artists and shows I’ve been to, including from this night, I’ll slowly build the best clips that I think add to what is already out there and try to upload frequently. Take a look at my other videos to get a better vibe for what the channel is about!
YES!! But that sequence doesn’t exist live in this in-your-face format because people are too afraid to break their expensive phones or cameras when the pit goes wild🥴. The new Bleed video I just posted might come in a close second or third to what you’re looking for!

I think it’s a GREAT contender, the only problem is that: it’s been over 12 years since they play that song live in their tours, so all of the recordings would be from that time, and even if I found a recording that was worthwhile to post, it would be blockier in quality than a video of Bigfoot. Right now I’m only posting content I’ve filmed/recorded, but I’d be open to looking into user-submitted videos that add to the concert-going experience in the future. The next upload is Bleed which premiers later today, maybe that one will resonate more with you!

Sometimes I’ll record from the pit depending on the song, the problem is lighting doesn’t make good videos from the pit, on top of the risk of having the recording device destroyed/broken lol. @@stevetorster on that note, being in the pit is not bad once you’re in, because it’s the most climactic environment you can be in. The most scary/intense area you can be in was where I stood….because at any moment, in that spot, you can be sucked into the pit. At any moment, someone may crowd surf over you or you might get kicked in the head. I waited four hours in line for this spot, and it was worth every minute of the wait haha. This show was one of the only times I felt fear in the room…so much moshing all around me, crowdsurfers left and right for the entirety of the night. I’m a big fan of Gojira, but I haven’t recorded or have seen a recording of something similar that would deserve to take this title as far as the live experience goes - since this channel is about live recordings. I may post about them though in other noteworthy videos, I go to shows every week so I have quite a large stack of recordings.

Yknow, I understand why some people don't like Meshuggah, and all I can say is I'm so glad I'm not one of them
When they make Metallica sound like Taylor Swift, the perspective of what sounds can be made in rock and metal completely changes, so I think it’s possible to assume that it’s not that people don’t like Meshuggah….it’s that people don’t like them yet🥴

I’m a big fan of Gojira, but I haven’t recorded or have seen a recording of something similar that would deserve to take this title as far as the live experience goes - since this channel is about live recordings. I may post about them though in other noteworthy videos, I go to shows every week so I have quite a large stack of recordings.

Guys to my right were talking about how old Nothing was and how good it still sounded. Then when the crowdsurfer towards the right pulled up you can hear them call a heads up to me and others. Fun time.
