- In this video I'll run through some of the worst football matches I've ever been to. Whether that be because of boring 0-0s or abandonments, not every game goes to plan!

Unfortunately, you attended a Western Sydney Wanderers game at a time when the club was really bad (and still is a couple of years later). If you attended between 2012-2016, you would have had a great time. Crowds were pumping and the quality of the team was much better. Hopefully you come back to Australia soon. The Wanderers will hopefully have a strong team next season and you can check out the new Sydney Football Stadium for which opens in November, preferably for a Sydney Derby match.

Haha Hearts v Ross County was the first Hearts game I went to since moving here in 2016 and it was utterly horrendous. My mate kept apologising for that being my first experience of Tynecastle lol
Nice to know I had a better first experience of tynecastle in the womens cup final this year.
Was really poor. We'd already wrapped up 3rd so were just focused on the cup final, and Ross County in hindsight needed a win for Europe but seemed quite content with a point

tried 3 hearts games, all awful. But went to watch Hibs v West Ham in a pre season friendly and have been going to Easter Road ever since.

I was at a 0-0 between St Johnstone and Clyde in 2005 and it was lucky to be above freezing. If there's a worse one than that you're doing well.

2 - 0 to Partick Thistle was the full time score it was - 2 it was such a dull game & long with the premature I honestly felt like it was mind numbing The Jags got 2 late goals but most of the game was a snooze fest.
I was extremely glad when the final whistle went I have never been colder at a football in my life.

Depends. Was at the Isthmian League Division One North Play-off Final between Canvey Island and Brentwood Town just over a month ago. Kick off there was delayed by ten minutes as it was the highest attendance that Canvey have had for a good few years.

My worst football experience was Benburb vs ross Vale about 2-3 years ago. It was played at auchinnairn Community Centre or sports centre. So there was no shelter and it was passing it down. Me and my pal were gonna leave early but decided not too. We got to see Ben's get a last minute goal. It was such a dull game though upto that point

Actually saw Belenenses in the Nou Camp in 88or 89 I was on holiday with my family and we were near Barcelona and the resort ran a bus to Barcelona to see the Eufa Cup game Barcelona v Bellenessis Venables was manager ended 0/0 terrible game but saw Nou Camp were Rangers won the cup congrats on 100000 subs
Hi Sam as for the A-League there have been plans to move it to winter but it just has not happen, we should have a 2nd division in 2023.
Will there be promotion relegation or will it be like the USL in america

Need to sort out board casting and advertising the league before the APL plans on competing with winter. AFL and NRL are too popular to compete with.

I went to Orlando v Seattle 5 years back. It was good.like how you can haves beer in the stand. It was hot in the sun. The standard of football was about the 3rd tier of English football except slower due to heat. They had a singing section which for manufactured clubs is necessary and they put words out which is a bit laughable. They made announcements on yellow cards which was strange and kids waved yellow cards sponsored by Subway. People wore team colours on their forearms like socks. The away fans about 200 which is impressive from Seattle marched to the ground chanting in an organised premeditated fashion. But I enjoyed it, felt safe, and the supporters wanted to talk to English folk

there was near no people in bsad vs santa clara because bsad is a new club, founded in 2018, the real belenenses is now in 3 tier of portuguese football, where all the fans, stadium and titles are. santa clara are from the azores island which is 1,446 km from lisbon so yeah
Nice video but I was really expecting something worse. From my eyes football in countries such as england, portugal, spain ecc is always that ”standard”. Go to eastern europe and you ll see a match being interrupted by a goat running on the pitch or the referee drinking vodka. Thats way worse than 0-0 draws in europes top leagues
Altrincham v Macclesfield. I was told these two hate each other so i was expecting it to be a bit lively. But it was dead. No atmosphere at all.
belenenses split into 2 teams and SA were getting no support from traditional Belenenses supporters which is what you experienced but i believe the original club are now re-organised and my understanding is they have good support.
FC Porto was empty cause we really hate europa league. we are used to play champions league, not 2nd tier competitions

Celtic vs St Mirren one year was my worst. It was free but it wasn't great.
I rate Liverpool vs Everton at anfield in the FAWSL, Glasgow City vs Celtic in the SWPL higher than that, but the best match I have ever been to was this years Scottish Womens Cup Final with City and Celtic, my team may have lost in the end but what a match, 3-2 after Extra Time, goals and drama in the first half.
What has happened to Glasgow city this year btw? I'm a Rangers fan so obviously happy we won the league but to see City not win anything this year has baffled me

I am not complaining personally because lets be real having 3 teams competing for titles every year is exciting, and plus if Scotland got to a world cup without them investing in it, imagine where we go with Celtic and Rangers investing in it,
ETA: Also I don't think experienced players like Leanne Ross and Leeanne Crichton leaving has done us any favours in terms of leadership.

If people stopped going to football just because of horrible matches then most clubs would be screwed.
Worst game I think I saw was this season St Mirren v Hibs in April I am a neutral I had seen Kilmarnock v Arbroath the night before and had stayed in Kilmarnock so was trying to knock St Mirren of grounds that I had not been to spent a better afternoon watching paint dry!
Scotland friendlies in the Berti Vogts era were pure torture.

Not sure if it's a good thing or not that I was sitting about 30 seats along from Sam in one of those videos. I was at the Fife Derby that got abandoned, what I remember it was the best thing could have happened to us as we were stinking that day in the brief bit of play that there was
I'm 100% certain it wasn't the worst game I've ever been to at the San Starko though. Vaguely remember a game in 04 under Le Clod Anelka where we got beat at home to Clyde(?) as the worst I'll ever see

Worst Match Port Vale 2 Millwall 0. 1976 at Vale Park. Coldest Away Ground I ever went to, out of 84 Stadiums. Only 99 Away fans.Lousy atmosphere. Local Guy tried to run us over after the game and nearly succeeded. Couldn't wait to return to London..:(
Oh! and we lost 2/0 and did not have a shot :(....
When I hear someone say ‘i couldn’t wait to get back to London’ that’s when I know that it must have been bad hahaha

I was at Charlton Ipswich 2022 worst game ever no shots on goal how we didn't lose by more then two I dont know it was mid week too so dark and cold we took 3400 to that away game 🚜🚜🚜🚜

Go back to Porto when it's the champions league and you will have a better experience. Europa League isn't taken as seriously by most supporters and the tickets are very expensive for the average Portuguese salary. I find sitting at the ends have a better atmosphere too.

@@perthshirebear8087 Let me explain more clearly. When you've seen your club win a Champions League or two in your lifetime, you don't really want to pay 10% of your monthly salary to see them play clubs like Rangers and Young Boys.

I’m curious to know what level English football fans consider the A-League to be? League 1 maybe? League 2?
I'm originally from the UK and have also been to many A-league games, especially the Wanderers. This is a conversation that regularly comes up, seen some good games and some absolute shockers. If we put WSW into League 1 (div 3)
they would probably hold their own but playing a 46 game season in the UK would severely stretch an A- league team's resources. So as usual it comes down to money and investment which is always going to be a problem in Australia when competing against the other codes.
