As an AFC Wimbledon fan who has visited Gigg lane, it is great to see you back again. We started in the Combined Counties League, which is the equivalent level that you are in and it took us 9 years to get to the football league and with that kind of support you can do it too. We had to go through 3 play off seasons to get out of the Isthmian (Ryman) premier league and then went straight through the Conference South, spending 2 seasons in the Conference national league and then beating Luton Town on penalties in the play off final (and look where they are now !) to get into league 2. You can do it Bury fc.
As a fellow AFC Wimbledon fan here's to bury's success! We've managed to climb our way up the ladder twice in half a century,so here's hoping Bury can do the same!

Being from Bury originally I am so happy to see the club back playing football. The fact that someone with such a dreadful history in business was able to pass a 'fit and proper' test to take over the club shows that the test is not worth the paper it's written on. I doubt Bury will ever make it all the way up the leagues to the top, but hope they can find a decent level to grow going forwards
@@GCMAC1980 Their history was yo-yoing between the bottom two professional leagues for at least 20 years before the final decline. Regularly pushing for promotion for most of the season, then dropping points in the last 8 games or so as they couldn't afford to go up. As a Torquay fan I visited Gigg Lane a few times in the 90s before our own sad demise. Great to see Bury fans getting to be a part of their club's history again.
Another great upload, thanks. The Bury story is so uplifting but it also casts a light on the awful governance of the beautiful game in our country. I travelled down with my Dad and Son from Newcastle to Bury around 10 years ago and saw Notts County get stuffed at Gigg Lane. Despite the result, we had a great day out and a proper football experience. I really wish Bury FC all the very best and hope they can get those 8 (or was it 9) promotions and grace the increasingly sterile PL.

Bury weren't getting as many fans during their EFL days so hopefully now that the club is actually run by them they'll be able to at least fill half of the stadium when they eventually return to the EFL and attract more youngsters who'll love the day out with neighbours and friends than sitting at time watching a team miles away from them
It feels so unfair to only be able to put a like on this video to show my appreciation. This is stunningly wonderful. Thank you Nieve. Thank you Bury. Well done to both.

I absolutely love this story. Been following the resurrection. I'm a United ST holder... and I'm embarrassed and disgusted the other North-west clubs haven't helped. Wish em all the best.
Bury and Bolton Wanderers had 2 utterly shocking humans as owners. One was expelled as the other was saved in the last hour before administration. Bury have a hopefully fun, but very long road ahead as they steamroll themselves back towards L2. Wanderers were so very fortunate to get an excellent custodian in Sharon Brittain, hopefully towards promotion to the Championship next season. My friends and I have watched Bury during the international breaks and have had a great time roaring on our once great foes. It's truly difficult to ever believe that Gigg Lane could be the home of my 2nd team.....but life makes no sense atm
Outstanding work once again Nieve! The people of Bury have got their livelihoods back slowly but surely. A real fairytale story. I just hope Dale goes into hiding 😅
I love this video. The passion and pride that oozes from the terraces and I can see you’re emotional too. It doesn’t matter that you’re a Bolton fan, it’s irrelevant. You’re a football fan and that’s what counts.

@@stuntpeggnieve ahh no worries I was a nervous wreck then anyways probably wise you didn’t include it haha. I always get nervous interviewing and more so interviewing you at the game. Your content is fantastic and so well thought through. It’s nice to watch your vlogs to learn and grow. Go easy on my vlog I hope you like it haha.
This video makes me think of the types of videos I saw on copa 90 stories. Well done. I'm glad to see Bury have weathered the storm and are on their way back up.
As a Torquay fan I visited Gigg Lane a few times in the 90s before our own sad demise. Great to see Bury fans getting to be a part of their club's history again.
Love your channel!!! Watching in TEXAS!!! Keep up the great work.
What a great story. Thanks for sharing. Warms my heart to see how a club like this can tie a community together
Only just stumbled across this absolute gem of a channel! You're doing a great job...keep it up!
I love the video you do and the support you give to the little clubs
Brilliant, as per... You have an incredible knack for finding the most compelling stories and telling them in the most entertaining and unique ways. 👏👏👏
This was a really heart felt video, you could see the emotion, how much it meant to the fans to have their club back, this is what football is all about, #pride
Informative video as always mate. Glad to see you back making great content! Forever proud of you, and an honour to call you a friend.
Thank you so much! I can’t work out who you are from your user name, please reveal!
@@stuntpeggnieve VERY informative as I'm a Yank and know very little about teams that have been regulated much lest nearly broken (have to love those volunteers!). As soon as you showed Steve Dale's photo I could tell that he was dodgy AF........
What a beutifiul story, im not the biggest football fan, but anything that gets people to get together will bring a tear to my eye.
You are truly a treasure, Nieve!
Would you consider coming to the states to cover MLS? I understand if it's too much of an undertaking.
Keep up the incredible work! ❤
Those 18 seconds from 6:00 , you caught something there Stunty, class, we've all had that glaze over our teams, even just for a split second. Lovely stuff.
By far and away my favorite footy channel. Love the presentation, the fact that Nieve delves into the areas of the game that others overlook. Keep 'em coming, it's great stuff!
Thank you very much! Can’t wait to go to all the clubs I’ve got planned for this year
Can I just say (as somebody who just recently started watching your vids.) that I LOVE your music choices for these clips!
Much love from Croatia! :)
Absolutely fantastic video, Nieve. I truly hope they go all the way in the future, Come On Bury! Supporting you all from Westbury, NY.
Your videos and especially your research are like sublime. Worthy of a newspaper to call you in my opinion. Wouldn’t be surprised
Outstanding work once again Nieve! The people of Bury have got their livelihoods back slowly but surely. A real fairytale story. I just hope Dale goes into hiding 😅
Excellent article and very professionally done. I found myself wrapped up in Bury's plight. Will look out for their results from now on.
Great to see Bury back. As a Port Vale supporter Gigg Lane was my favourite away ground.
I love this video. The passion and pride that oozes from the terraces and I can see you’re emotional too. It doesn’t matter that you’re a Bolton fan, it’s irrelevant. You’re a football fan and that’s what counts.
A very emotional watch. Lovely story Nieves. Thanks
A fantastic video, thank you for making this to keep our story alive. As a Bury fan you made me cry watching this, happy tears ❤
What a brilliant video, what an emotional story thank you for aharing this with us all this has to be one of the best football stories and hope Bury can get back what was so cruely taken from them
As an American who is heavily invested in French/British football, these videos create a very niche introspection on British futty culture for those who don't have easy access, thank you StuntPegg!
I love your videos, and this is no exception. Really love your analysis and your sense of humour, keep smashing it 👊❤️
💙😊 thank you
@@stuntpeggnieve Nieve, you should do someday a video about Espanyol, the rivalry we have with FCBarcelona and the current situation on the second division. Would be nice!
Absolutely! I’m planning that at the moment!
@@stuntpeggnieve Awesome! You will enjoy it so much, it's some kind of special club. If I can help you with anything just let me know! You are invited to the stadium whenever you want!
i love your coverage of these smaller clubs. I hope they continue to be worth your time. Thank you.
Delighter to see the Shakers back in action. I never heard of them until I started working with a bloke from Bury in Dublin 20 odd years ago. I've been a fan since!!! Onwards and upwards!!!
I'm blown away with the production of your videos. 8:02 made me chuckle. I love the history of English football, maybe one day I can cross the pond and see an EFL game! Cheers from NYC.
Great video, nice to see Bury back. Imagine the Glossop players running out to a crowd of 5400. Their previous match at home to Colne attracted 254. Bury must surely run away with this league.
I really enjoyed watching this video. I've only just very recently come across your channel, and I love the way you present your content. To see the journey that the club and it's fans have been on, and is coming back from too, is exactly what football and community is all about. It would be great to see you make a video on the club that I support, Stockport County. Not exactly the same set of circumstances that Bury faced, but boy has it been a journey over the past 15 years. To see us on the rise again is just incredible, an absolute joy to behold 😊 One of your fantastic video's telling our story would be amazing to see! Keep doing what you do, you've certainly gained a new fan in me! 👍
I worked in Bury for a couple of months when I was a lad back in 1982, never knew much about the place apart from it had the best black pudding and the locals were soooooooo friendly, always had a soft spot for the place, been back a few times over the years and still think fondly of my time there, I'm from Liverpool btw :) x
Nieve, you are truly one of the best football content creators out there. And so happy to see Bury coming back 😊. From a Villa fan
Ahh thanks so much Chris 🙌🏼 great win for you guys today!
The emotion on the supporters faces at the beginning of the match is what makes Football and Football fans the greatest sport in the world.
Well done Neve really heartfelt video very well done. Improving all the time. 😊
You make some top-tier vids. So real. Always with a wicked sense of humor. Amazing (Subbed 🙂)
Great video! Love seeing bury back at Gigg lane, such an amazing story how passionate their supporters have been to make sure the brought bury home and regained their club! 👏🏻👏🏻
Such a great story. Well presented as always. This is why we are fans. For moments like those. Best of luck to Bury in their fight to return to the efl
balled me eyes out, nearly us in '86. UP THE BORO. Brilliant Nieve absolutely👌🏻Cheers🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Amazing work! You really got an eye for this. Please tell more of these important stories.
Appreciate this a lot, I’m excited to really sink my teeth into more footballing stories this season!
Great video, thanks. As a Scunthorpe supporter I can understand Bury's plight and adventure. Look forward to playing them as they rise again. UTI
Love the emotion just below the surface in your final monologue. You always have a more interesting perspective than the other You tube football vloggers and keep the crap quality phone footage of games to a minimum. Well edited and concise...get yourself up to Firhill this season 😂
Have I won a Bury season ticket?
Another fabulous video - it’s always about the fans!
Love this video. Such a sad story with a brilliant turnaround. Well done to all concerned and well done you for putting an excellent video together.
The ever glowing Stuntpegg..❤
