StuntPegg to the Kassam! Oxford fans rally, and I’ll say something like what I said under Sam’s video: it’s probably not the worst stadium by any metric, but has occasionally felt like it, fortunately we’ll probably be out of there in a few years - the smell is sewage by the way and it is one of the worst parts but not appalling. I’m overjoyed that we’ve had a promotion and hopefully it propels the stability and attractiveness for players. Edit: suggestions for new ground, we’re tired of being made fun of on twitter so we need five stands, that’ll show em. I do genuinely agree with transport links though, transport to Kassam is bogus.
Fun fact: the singer of Lady In Red, Chris de Burgh, is from Oxfordshire and is a huge fan of the U’s. So Nieve was spot on with the musical choice. Plus apparently he was also my biological father. So this hits on many levels. This was all according to my mum. She’s dead now, so I can’t ask her if any of this is true.

I'm a Forest Green fan, we have a field above our ground that used to have sheep in it until the last couple of seasons where they were replaced with a horse, which on occasion would run from side to side when games were being played...I'd like to think it was following the action but that might be pushing it a bit...at times the watching horse was more entertaining than the football.
My only desire for a new stadium would be no open corners for wind and rain to get in. Wimbledon Centre Court roof would also be a snazzy addition. And extra space around the perimeter of the pitch for players to launch Delap-style long throws. Maybe that's enough.
Couple of other things. Maybe have a minimum seating requirement. Prem 15,000, Champ 12,500, L1, 8,000 and L2 5,000. All stadiums should be all seater with no standing only stands.
What happened to the requirement the Football League used to have for grounds to have at least 6,000 seats? The one that caused Barnet problems when they were at Underhill.
You didn't mention the fact that the traffic towards the ground on a match day is horrific, as everyone has to drive it is a queue all the way from the motorway.
I’ve never been to this stadium and I probably never will, but the stadium not being symmetrical by not having the same stand behind both goals plays on my ocd a bit
As an oxford fan, yes, its an awful stadium. Horrible to get to for both home & away fans. Hoping we can get our new stadium sorted but theres a long way to go
Oxford it self is a run down and specially where the football stadium is, it’s only the colleges in the centre of Oxford that bring the tourists it’s an expensive place to live poor roads and a council that don’t want to listen to what business owners around Oxford and want and need, too many roads shut to the traffic,it’s one big traffic jam. Where they want to move the stadium is a better area but it’s all ready a bad traffic jam
Craven Cottage was perfect because it used to have a view of The Thames. Back in the 70's, when I first went there you could even paddle in the river at the back of the stand if/when the game got boring. Sadly, the new monstrosity of a stand - still not fully opened after two years - blocks all the view of the river. So you're stuck watching the football, no matter how bad it gets.
I wouldn't risk getting in it but it's far cleaner than was the case 50+ years ago,to say nothing of the state of it in the middle of the 19th Century that gave rise to the episode called the Big Stink and the commissioning of the then-revolutionary Bazalguette-designed London-widesewerage system.
Transport links must include a roller coaster that dips down to a picture of an oxford player (Ray Houghton?) with the rollercoaster then taking the trajectory of that top corner screamer hit by said player with a goalpost the coaster travels through before doing a wheel away celebration (in a horizontal loop) then arriving into a slightly sunken spot by the stadium with pictures of famous oxford players rushing to join the completion of the knee slide celebration
I think fans would really appreciate hot baths, Roman style, complete with hypocaust, instead of seats. Luxuriously lounging in a pool of hot water, a pint in one hand, kebab in the other. Think about it 😉
missed opportunity to not make it like the fourth plinth in trafalgar square in london. just have something new there every couple of years - maybe a constant rotation of giant ox statues commissioned by local artists and voted on the winning one by fans. would defiantly be a usp. not sure if this is a serious or silly suggestion yet. maybe both

It makes sense not having a fourth stand. Even if you're getting beat 6-0 you can still sing "You're not singing anymore" without fear of comeback.
A lot of stadiums in (smaller countries of) Europe have 3 stands. And I mean top division clubs.
"You've only got 3 stands" feature in a lot of away fans chants - especially if they're getting beaten and have nothing else to sing about.
Have a opening song of "I'm still standing" or "Don't go breaking my heart" now they've promoted.

You used to be able to do that in Milton Keynes, trouble was they were all made of Fibre Glass.
I can't imagine a modern stadium without a pillow fight arena,
Or a mudwrestling arena ? Imagine all those fat gits ...
As an oxford fan, yes, its an awful stadium. Horrible to get to for both home & away fans. Hoping we can get our new stadium sorted but theres a long way to go
Love these vids. Loved the Wigan one too! Keep it up!
You have a "Wilson" volleyball (Castaway) - Awesome, you have it all :)
Your sense of humor is second to none!
Another entertaining video, thanks Nieve.
The only ground I have yet to visit in the Championship. Can’t wait……!
you should make a playlist featuring all songs you use in your vids plz
Oxford it self is a run down and specially where the football stadium is, it’s only the colleges in the centre of Oxford that bring the tourists it’s an expensive place to live poor roads and a council that don’t want to listen to what business owners around Oxford and want and need, too many roads shut to the traffic,it’s one big traffic jam. Where they want to move the stadium is a better area but it’s all ready a bad traffic jam
I first read "Talibans do it better" on the T-shirt. "Oh my, a bit controversial".
Wouldn't want to paddle or be in smelling distance of that river these days, mate.
I remember that, dont remember games being boring though !
The seat pitch at Loftus Road is no joke. Makes you dream of Ryanair.
Transport links must include a roller coaster that dips down to a picture of an oxford player (Ray Houghton?) with the rollercoaster then taking the trajectory of that top corner screamer hit by said player with a goalpost the coaster travels through before doing a wheel away celebration (in a horizontal loop) then arriving into a slightly sunken spot by the stadium with pictures of famous oxford players rushing to join the completion of the knee slide celebration
once again Nieve proves her excellent music taste
amazing content nieve keep it up ❤
Wait... You mean mansfield isnt the only club with just 3 stands? 😂
I think fans would really appreciate hot baths, Roman style, complete with hypocaust, instead of seats. Luxuriously lounging in a pool of hot water, a pint in one hand, kebab in the other. Think about it 😉
missed opportunity to not make it like the fourth plinth in trafalgar square in london. just have something new there every couple of years - maybe a constant rotation of giant ox statues commissioned by local artists and voted on the winning one by fans. would defiantly be a usp. not sure if this is a serious or silly suggestion yet. maybe both
The sarcasm has officially become to the level of epic proportions!
This was the latest entry into our football away day series, and yes it's a bit of an oddity. The heavy scoreline also made the write up longer than usual!
I love watching your videos i love this side more of football than the acutal 90mins itself. Also love the willlsooooon! with him on the window too class!
Love your comic timing 👏👏👏👌
Still can't believe you found Joe Wilkinson at the Kassam leisureplex and got him to agree to an interview.....
It isn't him, he hasn't got his knob out.
what about a big giant net to catch the balls and a swimming pool when its really hot
