The top 10 greatest solos from Jeff Loomis, arpeggiator of Nevermore, as ranked by Digitaldreamdoor.com And sorry about #6. The clip was corrupted or some such.
I'm quite sad he joined Arch Enemy. I used to be a fan of them a very long time ago but it's not quite my taste anymore. I'd still gladly listen to them over a lot of other things though.
That's funny...I just discovered Arch Enemy and I love them, I can't stop listening to teh song "War Eternal" I love it...at first I hated the vocals but they grew on me and now I'm like \m/ YES MOAR!
HAHA i love that river dragon has come is your favourite solo, its the first and only nevermore solo ive been able to learn properly! :p and final product...
To answer your question, Believe in Nothing was written and recorded by Nevermore for their album Dead Heart in a Dead World, which came out in 2000. All That Remains covered in on their album Overcome, which I believe came out in 2003. I do agree that Ollie has cleaner, somewhat distinctive style of shred, but in my opinion he's not as good as Jeff, and as big of a fan as I am of A7X, Syn doesn't even come close to Jeff Loomis.
1. Sanity Assassin 2. Sentient 6 3. Psalm Of Lydia 4. Believe In Nothing 5. Never Purify 6. Enemies Of Reality 7. Heart Collector 8. Miles Of Machines 9. Garden Of Grey 10. Born
All of these type dudes would cutting off their fretting hands $ bowing to our Supreme Exhaled Leader...Mr Paul Gilbet will never have any peer level players...
Ok... So im not really a nevermore fan. Granted jeff loomis is great and all. But i have a question, Did Nevermore cover All That Remains? Or did All That Remains cover Nevermore? Or did they both cover someone else? I just happened to notice that "Believe In Nothing" is on All That Remains' "Overcome" album. I don't know really, never researched it...
I know y this sacrament didnt make it. Its actually not that hard. Just gotta know how to run with scales. Still my favorite solo to play and my favorite solo from jeff loomis. Loomis is GOD!
I mean, don't get me wrong, bot Syn and Zacky are great, GREAT guitar players. But Syn seems to recycle the same three or four styles into his solos. I actually prefer some of Zacky's solos over Syn. But Loomis, he does it all. He doesn't limit himself to what he's comfortable with. And that's why I think he's better.
Great to see Ambivalent and Never Purify in this list. Underrated solos... But I don't think, personally, that Heart Collector deserves the second place. I prefer This Godless Endeavor, Final Product, or some songs from his solo album. But that's my opinion of course.
Btw, Ollie from All That Remains actually better in my opinion. Hes cleaner i think. Though Jeffs Sweeps are god-like, but then again so are synester gates' from A7X. Just saying...
@@bigtymer4862 for a Nevermore fan? Michael Romeo's solo a!bum Symphony X Dream Theater Pagans Mind Myrath Sons of Apollo Circus Maximus etc... For me all of this bands are better when Nevermore, sorry)
Jeff Loomis is just magnificent. I don't think I have ever heard a bad solo come out of those fingers.

Great to see Ambivalent and Never Purify in this list. Underrated solos...
