@@horvathpeter8130 He has written various solos for people/bands in the past few years I think, One I absolutely love was for one of Ola Englund's song's called "Balegmah". I just hope he finishes his third solo album eventually.
Conquering Dystopia was, and still is a phenomenal record 10 years after it's release. I'm still eagerly awaiting the rumoured follow up from Jeff, and Keith.
Jeff fan for life! Sanctuary! Nevermore! Conquering Dystopia! The Shred! The liquidy smooth lines! I got to see Nevermore in the "Pain in the Grass" free show at seattle center back in the day...good lord...so good!!!
Best guitarist ever. Love his style. He's the reason why I keep going hard.. I stopped for years actually but I finally got a C7 SLS Elite MultiScale and I learned my favorite Nevermore songs. Still working on blazing descending scales, but I hope to get there some day. Jeff Loomis is an absolute menace on guitar. When I first discovered him as a teenager over 16 years ago, I was in shock and awe. You are admired and loved Jeff!
That’s great news…Jeff is too special to play for arch enemy…but I haven’t listened to them in about 10 years…I would love to hear a new solo album from Jeff
@@Iesous27 Angela not the other girl…they were good with Angela -doomsdays a classic album imo…I haven’t like anything I heard from the newer singer and they lost all their creativity and appeal imo…super generic and just oh we still have a female vocalist but Angela was unique and fit them like a glove..damn shame Jeff went to play with them actually because from nevermore, his solo stuff and especially conquering dystopia all fantastic music imo and even his guest solos with periphery and some other bands was awesome
Love Jeff's playing. His lead playing is obviously amazing, but his riffs and rhythm are my favorite. Nevermore probably my second favorite metal band ever behind Opeth.
Jeez! Needless to say Jeff is simply amazing. He makes it look easy , which is a huge testament to his skill and knowledge. I’d say he is one if not the most technically proficient player out there that doesn’t rely heavily on pitch shifting or any other really wild effects to achieve what’s he’s after. The guy just simply can throw down like no other! Keep on rocking Jeff. You inspire us all brother!!
If i had earthly idols, this man would be number 1! Jeff you have been the biggest inspiration to my guitar playing and i thank you so much! You're amazing 🤘🤩👌
Wow, that guitar has a sick top on it! The grain patterns are all flowing towards the tail. Usually I'm not a fan of binding on black blasted swamp ash. That edge binding isn't exposed on the top, looks crispy. The whole package is well executed. .
Jeff should definitely go on with Webster on bass more and more times. That was one of the enigmas of the project -this blend of styles - vicious guitar solos and famous Alex' fingerstyle. May we hear it in a new CoDy reborn!
@@seymourduncan Iput a Pegasus into my Ibanez 8 over the winter, and while it finally sounds nice and loud and pretty good, I had to do alot of research and trial and error, because the wiring diagrams did not match what has going on in my guitar.
Legit note perfect. Jeff is one of those guys that plays everything intentionally and doesn't just wing it. I love his surgical precision coupled with his nasty riffs and just stankface (for me) playing.
Awesome ! This sooo clean ! I dream to hear some new conquering dystopia. Also how his guitar does not fall on the floor ? I don't see any guitar strap :O. Maybe a super power guitars stick to him haha?
One of my absolute favourites - in terms of artist, album and song! Would love another Conquering Dystopia album - Jeff, you've left Arch Enemy now so there's no excuse! :P
Do we even need to comment! WTF!! I was lucky enough to see him on tour with Animals as Leaders years ago, and it was just what you witnessed here... complete savagery!!
Plains of Oblivion is the best shred album. It's incredible and stands on its own next to Jason Becker and Marty Friedman's early albums. Essential shred album.
I miss Nevermore so much. One of the greatest metal bands of all time.
I miss Conquering Dystopia too.
I miss Jeff Loomis period. He hasn’t been doing a whole lot in a while. Easily the best metal guitarist of all time. Dude can do it all.
@@cegentry The best in the 2000s era. But he did not write anything in the past ten years. Thats sad.
They needed a better singer.

Please, get with Keith and get the second Conquering Dystopia album started!

I saw Jeff in a bar in Dallas about 10 years ago and man he was a such a cool and down to earth guy. An absolutely phenomenal player, too!!!

Imagine snagging Jeff Loomis as your 2nd guitar player for TWO full albums, and you don't let him write a single riff. In-fucking-sane.
So glad we're getting more and more Jeff Loomis content. All hail the mighty LOOMIS!
