Ty for that it makes me proud to know that there are people who still honor our fallen troops and loved ones who have served in the past and have died of old age like my grandfather and great uncles who fought in ww2 with pride haven't served myself but my brother and grandfather and his father and before that in every generation of every war we had but Vietnam and Korean war were the exception my family had fought in with pride I am honored to have been adopted into this family that raised me to be who I am today
I remember standing in formation at Paris Island, one week before I would leave. My company had just finished the crucible, we were awake for three days straight and walked what felt like countless miles. We stood next to the Iwo Jima monument and our Drill Instructors, were each standing next to a squad leader. This song began to play and our DIs handed us our EGAs. My senior DI, GySgt Trimmer, handed me my EGA and called me Marine. This song always reminds me of that moment. Thank you.
I love you guys! this song is so moving it makes me cry any time i hear it because i had two family members that i miss dearly who were in the army and armed forces, this song makes me feel like there with us in spirit and that one day i will be able to thank them for everything they did for us, god bless the usa!!!
I am getting ready to go into the Navy and so this song makes me cry because of the fact that my grandfather was in the Army for 21 years did 4 suicide missions in Vietnam, my great grandmother was in the British Air Force during WWII, and my great grandfather was in the Australian Air Force during WWII; he was a bomber pilot. A lot of people don't realize how much sacrifice our troops go through just to keep us free.
@blueanglesflynavy They will play this song at the graduation part of Battle stations in Great Lakes. Goodluck to you bud. Hope you like being in the Navy! See you in the fleet. USS Nimitz CVN-68
does keith (he's the lead singer, right?) hae any family members in the armed forces? just curious. either way this is my absolute favorite patriotic tune, along with Battle Hymn of the Republic, and their rendition of this song is so beautiful and meaningful. Well done, Vocal Point. Can't wait to (hopefully) be at your performances this year!

The one person that disliked this song, is probably an Obama supporter.
And you're probably a dumbass, idiot.
