Definitely gonna have a go at all these. Great stuff with these feel drills. I’d really love to see more from you like this. Maybe similar feel drills for other body areas like hands ‘n’ arms and others.
The is absolute gold. I’ve been trying for years to use my legs, but never been able to do it, as I’ve never understood how. This has given me some good feels and totally different way of thinking about it. I actually felt a stretch and some separation in my left side. Only had room for 8-iron inside went from 90-103! Can’t wait until I try the driver. Been speed training but stuck on 112 for far too long, and getting injuries, this could be the key. Thanks man loving your videos.
Sam….I recently purchased one of your speed toads and I’m loving it. I’m looking forward to gains I can get from it. Your content is top notch and looking forward to more. Do you give one on one lessons?
I love your channel and your videos. I did all these drills and I love it. I definitely "feel like an athlete." But unfortunately, I didn't see any extra speed. Not even one tick. I'll keep at it, though. Thanks.
Keep at it and hopefully see some progress. Your soon to be speed gains might not come from the ground and might be from a different part of your swing/training. Everybody is different! Keep at it!!
@SamAttanasio Thank you for your thoughtful response. That's exactly what I was thinking. Honestly, I think I'm being too passive with my hands and arms. Like I'm not "hitting" hard enough and just swinging too casually. Is that a thing?
Yeah for sure. Your brain and body get very comfortable moving slowly. That's where overspeed training comes into play as well as being very intentional with moving your arms FASTER with every swing.
@SamAttanasio I watched the videos on loading/unloading the shaft, and I got an extra 4-5 mph, breaking through my plateau. I was definitely holding on through impact. Also, I didn't have any sense of properly loading the shaft before. It wasn't even on my radar. I can sense both now, thanks to your brilliant explanation, and I finally got the jump in speed that I was looking for. Thanks for everything you're doing.
This is the old chicken or egg debate. My opinion is that it varies based on the person of what "feel" is needed to have the same outcome of more ground reaction force. I believe that the majority of people that struggle with leg drive, lose hip rotation when trying to focus on leg drive so bringing rotation back as the focus helps to create the leg drive.
I've tried focusing on pushing my left leg and hurt my knee. I was twisting my knee and wasnt using my hips to rotate. I think this feel to use ground force might be a safer way.
It is very dependent on the individual. The thought of a diving board for you may lead to optimal ground reaction force while for someone else it wouldn't. So cannot give you a specific answer without actually seeing the swing or GRF data.
I'll have to give that a try. Never seen a drill like this. You always hear about the ground forces and I've tried a number of other drills but never really achieved good speed in spite of having very strong legs/core.
There are so many different ways/thoughts to achieve good ground reaction force that is very dependent on the individual. I hope this helps unlock that for you!!
Awesome Drills, keep up the good work!!!!
This all adds some fun and excitement to the game rather than tinkering with my swing as shown in all the other videos I've watched
Some people need to tinker and some people just need to feel like an athlete again!

Love it!! Barriers are about to be broken!
I will be trying this as i have the floating front leg. Great stuff Sam keep them coming
SAVED! need to start doing this once the back heals!

Appreciate it!
Yes, I do both in-person and remote golf lessons as well as custom fitness and mobility plans! Let me know if you are interested!
@@SamAttanasio I’m definitely interested. I need help with my driver and some mobility exercises.
My email is sam@bombitlongdrive.com if you are still interested. Cheers

Really awesome. Will try this out next session. So the hips drive the legs to move rather than the legs driving the hips?

Very good tips on gaining speed - will give it a go and hope my 70 year old back doesn’t break on half. 😂😂😂😂
70 you go your are a beast
In order to use my legs I always try to feel a diving board or trampoline, does that load the legs in an efficient way?

But where did the ball go? Into the woods?
Incorporating this and hoping to make the jump from 113-116 to 116-120m-h
