i really respect kelly for giving products a second chance. it's either the way she pair the product with other different textures or she try it in different season when her skin change, she really find a way to make the product works. another thing that i really respect about kelly as I've been watching her videos for a long time, she actually finish her products. it's rare to see influencers finish their product but Kelly is definitely one of them. I've seen videos where influencers have an entire shelf of opened products lefted unused. it's really wasteful in my opinion, kelly really try her best to finish her products. she made multiple videos where you can see the same product being used in different situation or for different purposes. i really respect that about her
I use the Klair’s Daily Softening Water toner and it also came in a jumbo 500ml bottle! I put it in a mini spray bottle to spritz between steps as I apply my skincare bc I live in a super dry climate w dry skin (😩). I’ve got like 40% left and I’ve been using it every day since February! Great value.

I love the scinic too! I have never used the plain secret key, only the rose edition. I love that one too, but I no longer use rose stuff! I have been using the cosrx galactimyces spray and it’s my new affordable favorite!
I enjoyed the rose edition as well but am definitely on the fence about rose water, the scinic is the perfect alternative! The cosrx galactomyces line is pretty great as well!👍

Hey kelly! I have a suggestion for your this or that series that just came to mind. I think it would be lovely to mention if a brand is cruelty free vs not cf, as that is an important factor to some viewers. For example, the sioris cleanser is cruelty free, while the laneige is not and I think it’d be awesome to give credit to brands who do not test on animals. ^.^

Hi Kelly I found this very interesting, especially the cleanser segment. I have very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin and enjoy a milk/cream cleanser as a morning or 2nd cleanse. I use an oil/balm for makeup removal, but gel or foaming cleansers are too drying especially in the colder months. I think the laneige cleanser is a little expensive for what it is, but I would like to try it. The sioris I think I would need to try a sample first re all the citrus water etc on my delicate skin. I had been looking at the Klairs toner re the size and value, but doubt it will be enough for my skin going into Autumn/Winter, so I may try it in the Spring instead. I also don't want occlusive dimethicone in a first essence, although i'm more than happy to have it in moisturisers or sleeping masks. Overall it was very useful and send my best wishes.
Oooof, when you were describing the feeling of the laneige cleanser it really reminded me of the inkey list oat cleansing balm. I had a couple of bad skin months during the summer when I tried that one out (I’ve since switched to the Purito cleansing oil and I love it). Ngl, citrus anything freaks me out because in contact with the sun it can lead to phytophotodermatitis and that’s... horrific but as this washes off and I don’t use cleanser in the morning I might give this a try. ... ok I’m going to expose myself and y’all can shame me but I’ve seriously thought about buying the klairs toner, decant a bit into a spray bottle and use it as a finishing makeup spray. Most “makeup setting sprays” have either fragrance or alcohol, or both and I can’t use rose water or similar bc my face hates limonene and linalool and those are the fragrant components in most flower waters. (And I refuse to buy those mineral water sprays, I’m not paying for canned water) Thank you!

I think they say you can use it both ways but personally I strictly use it as a 2nd cleanser and still use an oil cleanser 1st (I don't feel fully clean otherwise, if that makes sense).

Which serum or essence & moisture will be good for reducing acne spot dark spot pigmentation uneven tone & make my skin brightening healthy glowing spotless skin? Age 18+ Oily sensitive large pores skin.. Vitamin c doesn’t suit me.. And a question tiam b3 source serum is good for teenage & also beginner??
Vit C doesn't suit me either, I use 10% Niacinamide serums/boosters. My favorite one is from Paula's Choice (it's the best niacinamide texture ever, very watery so even though it's more expensive, you use less of it, but still not cheap), and Tia'm has a Vita B3 which is 10% Niacinamide + Arbutin which is also great for hyperpigmentation. Both work great for me and acne spots leave suuuuuper fast now. I also use Paula's Choice Azelaic Acid which is great but it's still a strong exfoliator so only 2 times a week.
And yes Tia'm feels great for a teenager and beginner, I find it suuuuuuper gentle and actually very soothing for the skin. However some people (quite rare) react to niacinamide in general, but you'd be pretty safe with this one + it's quite cheap
Check out Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief, if you have acne like me, this is so great ! It helps the scaring and healing like craaaaazy. I have oily/combo skin and use it as a moisturizer at night and it makes miracles Oo (if you have dry skin, you can use it as a serum phase or mix a bit in your moisturizer)
Masks, irritation, barrier problems...? It's hard for me to tell you but you should think about any changed you've made in the last couple of months including products but also diet, stress, weather etc.

Ngl I’m bothered by the fact that you keep shitting on diamethicone in your non moisturizer skincare products. I know this is all your own opinion and stuff but I feel like you go into products that say they have diamethicone looking to shit on them. All diamethicone is is an emollient that can help enhance both the texture of a product and of your skin itself. It’s not a cheap trick, much in the same way petrolatum also isn’t a cheap trick. Even though the Secret Key has many more interesting ingredients you didn’t highlight, you focused on an ingredient that despite what you say even in this video, it sure seems like you keep vilifying.
Jenifer Joseph Geez, Kelley didn’t vilify anything. She just said she prefers not to have dimethicone in her products except in moisturizers. Dimethicone has occlusive characteristics so it makes sense if you suffer from clogged pores. It’s still a controversial topic, and I think people should know the ingredients in the products Kelly reviews that some of us may not like. It’s really no big deal...if you like dimethicone, by all means look for products that contain it like the one Kelly referenced....chill 💆🏽♀️
It’s fun to watch this type of review videos from any RUclipsrs. Remember, take their advice with a grain of salt. Always do your own research & get advice from dermatologists or aestheticians. They are the professionals.

I'm glad she talks about ingredients but I feel like occasionally she'll propagate a lot of what is either misinformation or highly speculative, like for example her stances on first essences vs toners being things that you should never ever do out of order... when in reality even if you did them out of order you'd probably still experience the benefits regardless. I understand that her skin can be reactive so she's overly sensitive to things like alcohols, which she absolutely does villify in other videos. It's not like she's the only skintuber who does this either. Hyram watches Lab Muffin Beauty Science and yet, even though they just did a video on why alcohol in skincare isn't that bad, he still treats alcohol denat like a tribute to Satan. Sorry if this is a long tangent, but it bothered me a lot when Kelly did her review on the I'm From Fig Essence and she talked about how she liked it on her skin but completely backtracked on that when she saw that there was diamethicone in the product.
I actually just watched a video about this very topic speaking about this in watery products and with the way it is formulated it really isn't going to act as an occlusive when formulated in this manner. I absolutely adore Kelly and the work she does and I've been so happy to see her success. Even though I get frustrated with all the ads. Hers are near as bothersome as Hyrum. I have just about stopped watching him because there is literally one every two minutes and I can't keep skipping ads while I'm getting ready in the morning with skincare all over my fingers 😂 I will probably be bashed for speaking negatively of him, but just my opinion. Vit C doesn't suit me either, I use 10% Niacinamide serums/boosters. My favorite one is from Paula's Choice (it's the best niacinamide texture ever, very watery so even though it's more expensive, you use less of it, but still not cheap), and Tia'm has a Vita B3 which is 10% Niacinamide + Arbutin which is also great for hyperpigmentation. Both work great for me and acne spots leave suuuuuper fast now. I also use Paula's Choice Azelaic Acid which is great but it's still a strong exfoliator so only 2 times a week.
And yes Tia'm feels great for a teenager and beginner, I find it suuuuuuper gentle and actually very soothing for the skin. However some people (quite rare) react to niacinamide in general, but you'd be pretty safe with this one + it's quite cheap
Check out Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief, if you have acne like me, this is so great ! It helps the scaring and healing like craaaaazy. I have oily/combo skin and use it as a moisturizer at night and it makes miracles Oo (if you have dry skin, you can use it as a serum phase or mix a bit in your moisturizer)

Ngl I’m bothered by the fact that you keep shitting on diamethicone in your non moisturizer skincare products. I know this is all your own opinion and stuff but I feel like you go into products that say they have diamethicone looking to shit on them. All diamethicone is is an emollient that can help enhance both the texture of a product and of your skin itself. It’s not a cheap trick, much in the same way petrolatum also isn’t a cheap trick. Even though the Secret Key has many more interesting ingredients you didn’t highlight, you focused on an ingredient that despite what you say even in this video, it sure seems like you keep vilifying.
Jenifer Joseph Geez, Kelley didn’t vilify anything. She just said she prefers not to have dimethicone in her products except in moisturizers. Dimethicone has occlusive characteristics so it makes sense if you suffer from clogged pores. It’s still a controversial topic, and I think people should know the ingredients in the products Kelly reviews that some of us may not like. It’s really no big deal...if you like dimethicone, by all means look for products that contain it like the one Kelly referenced....chill 💆🏽♀️

@@DVelez-wz3fe I am chill. I just don't agree. I'm glad she talks about ingredients but I feel like occasionally she'll propagate a lot of what is either misinformation or highly speculative, like for example her stances on first essences vs toners being things that you should never ever do out of order... when in reality even if you did them out of order you'd probably still experience the benefits regardless. I understand that her skin can be reactive so she's overly sensitive to things like alcohols, which she absolutely does villify in other videos. It's not like she's the only skintuber who does this either. Hyram watches Lab Muffin Beauty Science and yet, even though they just did a video on why alcohol in skincare isn't that bad, he still treats alcohol denat like a tribute to Satan. Sorry if this is a long tangent, but it bothered me a lot when Kelly did her review on the I'm From Fig Essence and she talked about how she liked it on her skin but completely backtracked on that when she saw that there was diamethicone in the product.

I actually just watched a video about this very topic speaking about this in watery products and with the way it is formulated it really isn't going to act as an occlusive when formulated in this manner. I absolutely adore Kelly and the work she does and I've been so happy to see her success. Even though I get frustrated with all the ads. Hers are near as bothersome as Hyrum. I have just about stopped watching him because there is literally one every two minutes and I can't keep skipping ads while I'm getting ready in the morning with skincare all over my fingers 😂 I will probably be bashed for speaking negatively of him, but just my opinion. It's unfortunate that I have had stopped watching. I know they need to do it to get paid, but it's very essesive and there is a balance to do this without annoying subs
