@Herb Dee l m shure you can.t understand what can create a serious injury to a Soccer Player. Dragan Stojkovic in ltaly 90 was Maradona instead of Maradona. George Best was a british citisen U K born in 1946 in Belfast Norhern Ireland .Owen is a british citisen U K born 15 dicember 1979 in Chester England .He is of welsh origin .
I think he was one the best soccer player we have ever seen. He was fast and intelligent. Michael Owen was loved all over the world ,Canada included. God bless him and his loved ones. Thank you.
I wish he could have been part of the Messi era. I know how was that awesome Henry-Eto'o-Messi attack, now imagine Owen in the same team. Passes between them.. awesome player.
MGOFor3ver Owen and Torres, after injury they lost considerable strength on their legs causing them unable to burst into speed to outrun defenders. And not to mention losing the agility too. I’m United fan and many times was bullied by those two but I never stopped admiring them.
@@brunaciompi1717 Winning the CL is always a great achievement, but it doesn't necessarily define whether a player is a great player. The best version of Owen was at Liverpool, where he won several trophies. I think Owen was one of the most lethal players in the history of football.
It wasn't just his goals that were impressive, I always found him so exciting to watch, He reminds me a little bit of Mbappé here. Massive shame about the injuries.
He was as fast as you'd get, rapid is an understatement. Turned out to be his achilles heel in the end tearing his hamstrings. When he started playing, was very exciting being as Liverpool fan, was wandering where the fuck this guy appeared from, just started from game one rinsing players and scoring goals for a laugh. Good player Owen was.
@@DS-cp3fg As Owen himself says in his book, by the age of 20 he had played more games than Messi and Ronaldo at that age. He turned up at 17 the complete player. A very rare thing. A gift to have him in the same team as God himself! They should have called Owen the son of God!
@@brunaciompi1717 He had his own style, and qualities that made him a terror for any defense. Speed, dribbling, shooting skills, courage, tenacity, decent heading...at Liverpool he was one of the best strikers in the world. He suffered a few injuries and never really recovered from those. I'd have the Liverpool Owen anytime in my ideal squad, next to Ronaldo the Phenomenon, R9.
Listening to podcasts where they've been mentioning this Michael Owen ... Came here, watched the video - did not regret it! Hoooooly hell! Very intelligent player and just look at those ludacris goals ... =)
I still can't believe England never managed to reach semis of any Euro or World Cup with that 2000's starting 11. That team was insane - Neville, Ferdinand, Campbell, Cole, Becham, Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Rooney, Owen. The only 'weak' point was David James, although in all honesty he never made any huge mistakes on international level and was solid for England. Besides them, there was young John Terry, already experienced and solid Carragher, then Woodgate, Mills, Ledley King, Alan Smith, Owen Hargreaves, young Joe Cole (an absolute beast, technically brilliant player!), Dafoe, Heskey and Shaun Wrigh-Phillips. I mean, that team was second to none when it comes to individual quality, and yet... Michael Owen was immensly talented player, a real boy-phenom, with skillset that was second to none and striker instincts that can't be taught. God, I miss this era of football!
Can't stand him as a pundit, but it's easy to forget how lethal a striker he was. Some of these goals are great and it's a shame he suffered with so many injuries. 2nd favourite highlights clip after le tissier - which is just essential watching for any football fan.
I called him the ninja. Eighteen yard box ninja. He could score at any moment against any team or defense. He was an expert at scoring clinical goals at critical times. Injuries curtailed his career but what a dangerous forward he was!
Michael Owen,A great talent that left her mark on an era, l will always remember her with love and respect. Unforgettable player of England National team and Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City. Turkey love from İstanbul Michael Owen 🙏🤠
1:15 how to do Owen's dribbling technique like that in FC24 video game? Please anyone who know it tell me the way! And what is the name of that dribbling technique?
I know it's been 3 years, but... Why'd you blame Owen for playing in Man Utd when he clearly asked Liverpool to buy him back from Real and Liverpool didn't want to pay 12 million for him, then he tried to come back to Liverpool after Newcastle bought him and Liverpool didn't want him because he was injury prone and wasn't as good as he was, no one else wanted him even as free agent beside sir Alex I'd blame Liverpool for ruining his career, forcing him to play that much at that young age and that early after injuries clearly affected his health and made him injury prone And now even Liverpool fans are blaming him, when he did all his best sacrificed his health for the club that only rejected him twice after everything he did
Michael Owen was the Ian Botham of football. Displayed world class talent at a young age and became a superstar, but declined quickly. With retrospect he had had already peaked at that young age. Brazilian Ronaldo was similar, though his peak was certainly higher than Owens. Rooney is another player who could be put in this bracket.
Great goals aside the thing about Owen was he was that rare player you get,the higher the level, the bigger the game, the more he’d make that difference. Some players will have put in a great performance in a big match and it’ll be a one off,but some players you know are pretty much certain to step up and do something important in your big games.Marcel Desailly for example, would step up a couple of levels in really big games.Owen would do that

Me, of course. It was an instrumental version of Hard to beat by Hard Fi
' "He is very good on the ball, he is intelligent and scores many goals, but also very quick and can run in behind defenders. He is definitely a born goal scorer" (Sven Goran Eriksson about Michael Owen)' And yet Sven pulled Owen- England's only goal-scorer on the field- against Brazil in a WC in favor of an over-the-hill poacher in Sheringham despite having Fowler as an option. To this day one of the strongest arguments for high-level match fixing I've seen in my lifetime.

If did not suffer injuries would be the best english Player for shure .He won balloon d.or against legendary Players when was only 21 to 22 .
No problem .Among 23 healthy man ,there can be one idiot .At Real of Galacticos ,He scored 13 goals ,playing from 10 to 20 minutes per match .
Kevin Keegan scored the same number of goals in Germany ,during there Seasons. 77 to 80 .

0:58 the real 'no look goal'
His instinct is special
Almost every goal in the corner, that's what I'm saying! So many strikers can't do that
Very good point ole was very good at that too
Theres a real lack of strikers
And we have too count that he was not a tall striker

If he’d played in this era of football he would have had a much longer career due to the advancements of sports science
