  • Back again to early Elizabethan England, this time we'll be looking at three of the key plots against Elizabeth. Focusing on the similarities and differences as well as their events and consequences.
    Despite the failure of the Revolt of the Northern Earls, Elizabeth faced many plots against her life especially in her early reign. English Catholics did not want a Protestant monarch. You need to know about three, the Ridolfi Plot, the Throckmorton Plot and the Babington Plot.

    For someone like me, who was never able to go to college, these channels are invaluable. I am old now, and all my life I wanted an education. Slowly, I am getting closer to that through learnjng history. I actually get a lot of references now and know the broad outlines of English history. Thank you with all my heart for giving a tool like this to someone like me, who grew up hungry to learn but who didn't have the option until later.

    which plot, including the revolt of the northern earls, would you say was the biggest challenge to Elizabeth?

    • @TheHistoryTeacherUK
      @TheHistoryTeacherUK  Год назад +6

      I would say the revolt of the northern earls involved the most people and therefore was the greatest physical threat but the Babington Plot was the only one with clear evidence of MQoS ok involvement. So you have to weigh up the arguments. Check out my video on the 16 mark question for help with this

      @@TheHistoryTeacherUK thank you so much! I also thought about how the 3 plots' aim was to kill Elizabeth instead of just overthowing her. I actually just had a look at the 16 mark video to help with mine, it's really helpful!

      Don't overthink it! All you need to know is there were a bunch of different people trying to kill Elizabeth. There are three examples given here. There all kind of similar which is why I've given you the check boxes. Try to remember 2 facts about each plot and you'll be good 👍

    A very.comprehensive, systematic, simple and lucid.way of presenting a history lesson to.the learners. It certainly benefits, students and especially.those from.foreign.countries. The scholarly books available on the.subject.are in.abundance. However, the facts therein have been presented with such scholarly.and literary artistry.and in.such.an elaborate manner it often becomes difficult for the students to grasp, comprehend.and.assimilate the topics. Hence, I would like to thanks the teacher.for making history lesson simple, and.enjoyable.esp for beginners and also those who have difficulty in grasping elaborate works. ❤🤎💜💛🙏🙏🙏🙏
