The History Teacher
Великобритания
Добавлен 11 апр 2017
Welcome to the History Teacher channel and thanks for dropping in. I am an history teacher with 10 years experience, I wanted to create interactive revision resources that my students would engage with and actually do! I found that one of the biggest problems I had with my GCSE classes was that the students who were going to do well had good revision practice already in place, but my 3/4 borderline kids had no idea where to start and very infrequently did any revision. I started out making these videos for my own students which is why the first few videos are out of sequence. I was just aiming to fill the gaps or explain concepts for their homework tasks. I was absolutely overwhelmed when thousands of students from all over the country started watching. So The History Teacher was born…

The brain drain, in which skilled professionals left the East for the West, was a pro...

It sparked an arms race between the USA and the USSR which cost both sides billions and led to a situation which could destroy the world many times over. Meanwhile, the Western powers united to form NATO, to protect one another against possible invasion by the USSR and when they invited West Germany to join in 1955, the ...
The Berlin Blockade and Airlift
Просмотров 25 тыс.Год назад
After the division of Germany in the Yalta conference, the West began to rebuild the economy of what would become West Germany. Stalin was furious at what he saw as the West "ganging up" on him. He blocked all land routes to Berlin from the West. The Western powers overcame the blockade through the Berlin Airlift scoring a point for the West in the propaganda war. This video covers the Edexcel ...

Elizabeth I was the first British monarch to fund slavery 🤢🤮
I really don’t understand ☠️
Oh no! Try not to over think it. People wanted to explore because it would make them rich and interesting. And it was much easier because ships were better and they had better tech for navigating. Francis Drake was a pirate who stole loads of money off the Spanish, he was also the first English person to sail round the world.
im watching this cause my teacher sent one of your videos and now im here watching all 8 and i have to say thank you so much i learned a lot wish me luck cause i have an exam tomorrow .
I hope it went well!
I meant to comment earlier, but I got my GCSE results last week and got a 9 in history!(149/168) Thank you so much! I found your videos really useful throughout my revision. :)
Wow that's amazing! Congratulations and I'm so glad my videos helped!
Wanted to say thanks I went from a grade 3 to a grade 7 with the help from your account massive thank you!!
That's amazing! You must have worked so hard! I'm really glad I could help 😌
I don't know if you'll see this, but I wanted to send you a profound thank you for all of your amazing GCSE History revision resources, particularly for Weimar and Nazi Germany. I have been a home-educated student up until now and sat IGCSE History, all self-studying with no tutor but watching your videos to help. It was so fun to watch the whole series on Germany because it tells the historical period like a story and I found the format very engaging. Results came back last Thursday and I had a Grade 9 in History, with a full 60/60 on Paper 1 (Germany and the Cold War)! You are amazing for doing all of this for free 💓😊
Hi, thank you so much for such a lovely comment. I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos and I'm so impressed that you did so well! You must have worked so hard. Congratulations 🎊
I GOT A 9!! THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH 🎉🎉🎉
I just wanted to come back to this video to thank you because some how i got a 7 in history yesterday even though i got a 2 in the mocks and that would have been impossible without you. Thank you so much.
That's so amazing! You should be so proud of yourself! I'm so glad I could help!
Just got my results back and I got a nine in history and that's on part due to ur videos so thank you so much
I'm really glad I could help, congratulations on your results sounds like you worked so hard!
The Nazis didn't like Christians, they loved Islam and Muslims and would kill Christians, not Muslims!
Thanks!
Thank you so much 💓!!!
I agree with most of your video. However I wanted to let you know that your summary at the end is not accurate. As a Protestant we believe that we are have sinned and have all fallen short of the glory of God. We believe that it’s not just believe in God because Satin believe there is God too but we recognise that we are sinners (disobeyed God and fallen away from Him) and need to repent of that and give our lives back to God, making Jesus Lord of our lives again. For all (the whole world) have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God Romans 3:23. He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins , giving us a new birth and new life Titus 3:5. So the way to being united with God again and to recieve eternal life is to repent (say sorry and actively show that you’re sorry by running from Sin and making Jesus Lord of your life). We believe that God is Lord of our lives and we believe not because he answers our prayers ( He does answer many prayers because he loves and hears us) because he sometime doesn’t (God is Lord and he chooses what is Best) but we believe because even though we were still sinners, Jesus died for us and ofcourse we would give our lives over to our saviour! (All humans were going to die an eternal death if it wasn’t for Jesus conquering death) .
I believe that the USSR started buying Cuban sugar and oil because the USA had refused to buy them as punishment to Cuba and not the other way round as stated in this video.
Conflict in the middle East GCSE....plz make the videos

History will repeat itself 🏴🙏🏴
Well, I'm all ready for Sunday now. Over to you Gareth.
Amazing video .. Your name ought to be The amazing history teacher. Not The history teacher
I know I'm 3 years too late, but I hope you replaced your smoke alarm battery. It was distracting though your video was very helpful! 😊
I'm struggling with American West and Medicine in Medieval time including the medicine in war. Could you please do a rundown on the course😢😢
history repeating itself soon
Late night revision the day before my mock time to binge watch
❤
if you don't like any of the candidates can you still go to the voting poll and not cross any box
Absolutely! it's actually better to cross all the boxes. That way there is no confusion, and you have definitely spoiled your paper. It gets counted as a spoiled paper.
bro i have history mocks tom
Could you please do videos on detente and invasion of Afghanistan
got a mock on Tuesday, aiming for a 9 - thanks for the videos!
Could you do a medicine through time gsce vids please (:
Hey there miss So does the 3 paragraph that I do I need to right one for agree then another for disagree and then the 3 one what do I do on that I’ve got my mocks tmw 😭
So the whole thing is your opinion. For example. P1. I agree with this statement. PEEA. P2 however some people might disagree with me when they say ... PEEA. P3. But I would say ... (Final agree point) PEEA. So you are consistent in your view throughout, but you are acknowledging that some people would disagree with you. This works whether you agree or disagree. Does this make sense?
Thanks 👍
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you fervently for all your GCSE History videos, which came in really helpful before my History exams last month! They are really high quality so thank you so much for putting the time and effort in. 😄 I'm currently about to start on making a video of my own for an economics project (first time I will have made a video) and found Powtoon online. Since it looks similar to your video style, I wonder if this is the editing software you use, and if so would you recommend the free version for a one-off project? PS. I am only 16 so I can't vote but I was so enthusiastic that I registered the very day I turned 16 anyway!
Hey that sounds like a great idea and I'm glad you found my videos so useful. I use doodly. Which costs a bit upfront but it's a one time cost so it soon pays for self. I then also use Adobe Creative Suite for the final edit and the audio editing but strongly recommended using Audacity to record your audio separately as the sound recording on the animation software is usually quite bad as my earlier videos show 😂
You helped me get my 9 in history 2 years ago and now your back to help me vote! Thank you 😊
Wow a 9 is amazing 😍
❤
This should be implemented in schools, very good step miss!
Exams finished and she's still here for us 😂
Life skills with the history teacher! 😂 love it
Happy to help as always :)
By the way, do you think you'll ever cover the Britain and empire gcse sub-topics?@@TheHistoryTeacherUK
It's not on the road map right now but never say never
Any chance you could do a video on how to answer Q3?
My history class calls you the ‘coffee lady’😂
so helpful got my history mock tomorrow thank you so much
Hi miss, thank you so much for these videos. I genuinely do not think i would of done well without them! I found the Nazi Germany paper to go especially swiftly thanks to you! I will reply to this comment once i get my results. I really hope i get a 6/7 as history is definitely one of my hardest subjects. :)
Sounds like it went really well! Congratulations 🎉 please come back and let me know what grade you got!
i didnt add quotes for how far you would agree with an interpretation will i get capped at how many marks i will get
It should be ok as long as you referred directly to the interpretation but yes it is better to quote. Here's the thing. It's done now and there is nothing you can do to change it. I doubt you've gone too wrong so forget it and enjoy your summer ⛱️
Watching these for my mocks there so good thank you
my exam is in like 40 mins so im doing some last min content revision and i think you have saved me!!
30 minutes before my exam 🫶😾
