I remember Tony in Howard's Way as well and he also played a Basque revolutionary called Jose in an episode of Citizen Smith, he played him brilliantly
It is a great pity that we hear so little about Tony these days. I always did a great job even with sometimes mediocre material! His son is also an actor and I read an interview with him where he said that even when Tony was working the family was still sometimes having to buy secondhand shoes for the kids. he must have been a strong team player though. Gerry didn’t suffer fools did he?
Anholt had a nice supporting role in the tv miniseries "Last Days of Pompeii." SPACE Guest Artist Gerry Sundquist ("The Dorcons") played a friend of his in it.
I've been listening, watching for years. During in this video was thinking to myself that this channel was great and one of the reasons is because you're still able to put out content without it feeling repetitive to me.
Oddly in the year 1999 his son Christien starred in a Canadian series called Relic Hunter which was very popular at the time and then he fell off the grid when that series ended ..at least in North America..
I wonder... are the roles listed on Tony Anholt's IMDB filmography all his, or are some of those the "borrowed" ones? And if a copy of one of the doctored CVs existed, it would be possible to identify the generous mystery actor by looking for the one performer common to all of those films/series. Crumbs, it makes me want someone to investigate this now! 🤔
One of the lows must certainly be the dreadful "All That Glisters". The cast hated the script - poor Tony Anholt spends the entire episode wandering around like a zombie carrying a papier-mache fake rock and very little else.
Tony Anholt was also superb as Charles Frere in “Howard’s Way”. A brilliant actor who sadly was taken from us way too soon.
Usually being chauffered around in a very '80s looking Bentley!
I had a tremendous crush on Tony Anholt and loved him on Space:1999.

Tony Anholt is the ONLY actor to play a regular role in 2 Live Action Anderson shows! #FabFacts

He also appeared in an episode of 'Jason King' in the episode 'A Thin Band Of Air'.

An interesting piece of info even I never knew growing up as a "Space: 1999" fan...
Take it from me, there are more people than I've had hot dinners in theatre who fudged and blagged their way in 😉
I buy just season two of space 1999 on blu ray…is the best on all …tony & maya …make good & save space 1999 ! 😊
I did not find out Anholt's American accent wasn't real until _decades_ after seeing him in SPACE: 1999.
Had a small part in the film "fear is the key".
An underrated film if ever there was one
Loved Tony ❤
Great story. So many people BSed their ways into jobs and pulled it off. If you have the talent, or the drive, or the knowledge, good luck to ya!

Using someone else’s CV! Well he was an ex-insurance salesman!
I'm pleased he didn't try and get into the brewing industry (:
😊
A fine actor. Barry Morse was a tough act to follow.

As a kid i thought it was horribly boring but for the women 😂
