Today i got Knotless age 52 haven't had my hair braided since i was 15 yrs old. Did it during the summer months. I feel bald its so freah thankful to see all the comments on how one felt getting the. I got them because my husband is taking me to Barbados and I wanted a island feel and my twin adult suggested Knotless. I feel alive. I have been natural for 4 yrs. So this is pivotal moment for me. Going out of my comfort zone. Thank you E and all those that offered great tips and suggestions. Amazing the items they now have sleep wear, shower wear to make have braids convenient & fun. Its not a burden or regret. I already had one of your two hair product suggestions. It pays to do research. I hart 💜 y'all ‼️💯👍
I had knotless braids for 2 months and I washed my scalp and hair because I sweat. It wasn’t an issue at all really. Yes the braids were heavy when they got wet but the drying time was incredibly fast. I think 45 minutes tops and my entire head was dry.
Dawn Stevens Nope. You will use more shampoo. But I would concentrate on your scalp. When you rinse it out let the shampoo run down the length of your braids as you are rinsing it out.
Here's a tip. Go to a salon, have them split the braids in two sections where the braids hang over the sides of the sink. At that point they can shampoo and condition your scalp. Take your preferred oils/ creams, apply to scalp, sit under the dryer 10-15 mins, and let air dry if needed.
YOU🎉! It's 2024. I've seen your gorge hair for years but this was my first time seeing a video.& OMG- that pillowcase trick?GENIUS. I JUST got a 2nd backup silk pillowcase. & I had ordered a satin sock cap. After this video I canceled the cap. Thanks for the intel
Thank you so much for sharing how you put your braids up before taking a shower. I have knotless braids for the first time and that method is a life saver!! ❤️❤️
THANK YOU SO MICH FOR SHARING HOW YOU PUT YOUR BRAIDS UP BEFORE TAKING A SHOWER. I HAVE KNOTLESS BRAIDS FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THAT METHOD IS A LIFE SAVER!! 🧡🧡
OMG!!!! THANKS!!! I'm getting my first set of knotless braids in the morning! Was wondering how I was going to sleep! I have a Black 100% silk pillow case & I'm going to do your nighttime routine. Thanks so much!!💖 I love Italy so much...my husband and I traveled all over Europe for a month! It was AWESOME!😊
Wow!! Your braids look so good and done professionally. If I could find someone to do mine, I'd get them done. They scream black ethnicity ... which is what I want. Very Beautiful.
Yes, I always get my braids 2 or 3 weeks ahead of a trip so the braids flow better and my scalp is not soooooo exposed. I have the worlds biggest parts 😂🙄.
Thank you so much for this. I'm getting braids for the first time at the end of the week and I'm stressing hard about how to maintain and sleep with them.
That’s exactly what I do when I’m going to sleep I got them for the first time and was jus worried about sleeping So I jus got the idea to wear my durag to stop the top of my hair n edges from frizzing Then I got my xxlarge bunnet and let the braids jus sit in it and it’s sooo easy and I sleep like a baby
I have had my crotchet braids for just over 2 wks now I use a satin bonnet to put my braids up when I go to bed and I have a extra large shower cap I use when I'm going for a shower
Very helpful. I’m getting long braids for the first time and was curious as to how I was going to sleep with them. Nice shower tip too. I’d probably add a shower cap to the bun and a scarf around edges to be safe. We’ll see. Thanks, great video
Wow! I've done the night time routine for the frizzies, but never thought about the satin pillowcase. Can't wait to sleep without worries about the braids.
Thank you. I ordered the products you use as I just had the knotless box braids done today. I have growing dandruff and it seemed nothing t I used was working. I will give this a try.
hey! i just found your video and it was super helpful! i have curly hair that just hasn’t been growing because my hair is so fine 😭 and i did used to braid my hair, but since everyone was getting mad at white people with box braids, i switched to dreadlock extensions. it’s been helping my hair a lot but my scalp has been suffering a bit😩. in the dread community there isn’t the same focus on scalp and your natural hair care as there is with protective styling. i’m so glad i found your video and im e v to find the products and try them out for my scalp ♥️
E your braids look beautiful especially with our natural frizz. Your dress is gorg and I'm going to Italy too! Looking forward to the food, culture and especially the shopping😍
Ladies, please, I wear braids once a year and I wash my hair every week. The best way to keep your hair moist after washing is by spraying with leave in conditioner, massage your scalp use good products. I don’t really understand when women say that they don’t wash their braids, higiene is important ladies!!!!!! Make sure your braids smell great, avoid oils as these smell after a while because braids are synthetic (common sense right?) And one precious advice ask your hairdresser not to tighten your hair, because that what’s cause breakage and damages the hair root. Sleeping it’s not a problem for me, a pull the to the back and voila not a rocket science. 🧐🤨🤔🤪
That's great that idea I have so much hair that looks a lot like yours am gonna try that pillow case the hair is a real job and struggle but I do go threw that trying to wrap it at night and it's hectic because u have to u can't even sleep if u don't wrap it lol but my boyfriend don't like when I cut so now I just let it grow all back and deal with it love ur tips keep it going I need more I gotta finish looking at the rest of ur videos new to the channel love luv

I would love to wash my braids when it’s time. Was it difficult?
Dawn Stevens Nope. You will use more shampoo. But I would concentrate on your scalp. When you rinse it out let the shampoo run down the length of your braids as you are rinsing it out.
@@janerogers616 How do you keep the braids looking neat after washing?
Jessica Huggins The only issue I had was my new growth. But I was fine with it looking a little frizzy. It added to the boho vibe for me.
Yessss! I always feel “ bald” when I first get them done. Thanks for explaining the feeling lol.
P

Where do you get your very large bonnet from?
@@somrjrose Target has them for about $6
@@somrjrose I got a bonnet off Amazon that’s HUGE. It’s for people with long dreads and it works wonders.
To shower, i put my hair in a plastic bag and tie it at front. I may use a clip or pin to keep the tie from undoing and shower freely.
I purchased a swim cap especially for braids. LoL
B E A U T I F U L ✨ 🙋🏾 I have the same issue with my edges...nothings lasts more than an hour 🤷🏽♀️
There’s also some bonnets specific for braids that I found on Amazon too! I have three that I keep my braids in when I’m home and not going anywhere.

A lot of people say the knotless ones are lighter than regular box braids😱
CupcakeGirl7201 it is! I just did thick ones but I tired the thin ones and it felt like nothing was on my head!!
