Takes me back. I use to play this alot when I was a kid! Long car rides, trips to the grocery, just bout anywhere. That first track made me tear up alittle lol
Now I get that this game was made on an absolutely disgusting deadline, but what were they smoking when making that boss theme? The THING doesn't sound like music, or garbage data, or any kind of sound effect, and it's the song you'll hear the most often in the entire game so there's no way the composer just fell asleep on his desk and didn't notice.
There's actually a reason. The compositions are really good, but the devs made a mistake when programming them into the game and making it basically sound one octave higher. If you listen to what others have done to remix and/or fix the tracks, they sound as good if not better than the NES Mega Man songs.
All things considered, I do like how Kenji Yamazaki went for more original music rather than just remixes from the NES titles (outside of Mega Man 3's password and new weapon themes). Kouji Murata's GB remixes in III and IV aren't bad (he even adds some unique sounds to give the music some flair), but part of me wishes he did more original music for the robot masters in III and IV. However, I do notice that Yamazaki borrows some elements and leitmotifs from the NES themes (or it sounds like it). I'm not sure if it was intentional or if it's just a coincidence. - Clash/Crash Man's theme has a similar sounding bassline to the one from Air Man's NES theme. - Air Man's theme has a section from Bubble Man's NES theme (right before the loop). - Wood Man's theme sounds similar to Top Man's NES theme. - Hard Man's theme sounds suspiciously like Dust Man's NES theme, specifically the beginning part (while this game did come out after Mega Man 4, it mostly borrows elements from 2 and 3, so this one might be more of a coincidence).

Bruh. this would have been one of the most legendary video game osts if the devs didnt screw up the pitch and the instruments
Rushjet1 did a brilliant remake of it. You should check it out.
this music finally made me discover the meaning of life
YOU GOT:
TINNITUS
16:32 Quint's Theme
엔딩 송을 들을때면 시간 여행을 하는것 같다 어릴적 그 시간으로

idk what people have for problems, this OST sounds great!!!
A very loud ass pitch.
@@berdinaction I've heard worse
@@2soulzkilluminati135 I know, I just also love the OST.
@@berdinaction nice
This soundtrack is very soothing for me. It relaxes me, and reminds me of the good times.
Aw, I liked this soundtrack! It’s catchy for a GB game
Used to play this a lot on the Super Gameboy
unknown theme has weapon get vibes
People absolutely rave about the NES Mega Man 2 music (and they should!) but man, the music in Game Boy Mega Man II is almost as good.
Outside of Air and Metal, this OST is horrendous.
apart from a bit of dissonance they somehow managed to not fuck up hard mans theme

@@brendantjeerdsma492How do people even know the coding was incorrect
@@AverageJoeMama Probably by looking at the game's coding or music data.
Top Man's is also a banger imo

Fantastic music since MM II for Game Boy got released in the early 90s.
The Daily Game Boy Show Season 3 Episode: Mega Man II
Most of the music here is vastly inferior to their NES counterparts, with one glorious exception: Top Man. This one is fucking great.
Erm ACTUALLY
