Hey everybody! I'm terrible at noticing YT notifications, so sorry for not replying to many comments or anything. I wanted to come in and hopefully let you all know that Bit Brigade did a new show last month at MAGFest where they played THREE GAMES. And two of them were new! I'll refrain from saying what they are in case any of you weren't aware of this and want to be surprised. It's was a killer show! Unfortunately, it only has a little over 800 views. I figure since this video has over 400k at this point (which is unreal), hopefully I could point some of you over toward the MAGFest channel because it seems to get very little attention. Here's a link to the Bit Brigade set, complete with remastered board audio and everything! Sorry you may not see the game 100% of the time, we've made sure this will be addressed in the future where we'll have a special overlay or something setup for it, not unlike what we here. Bit Brigade at MAGFest 2017 - Three Game Set! ruclips.net/video/AhULxTKIgx8/видео.html My team (Down in Front) and I are part of a much larger official media team for MAGFest, so /most/ of the main stage concerts on that channel were filmed by us and those we work with. There's soooo many concerts on that channel now, you're bound to discover a lot of great music and stage performances (emphasis here on The Protomen and URIZEN), so please go check it out and give it a sub! All of our MAG content will be over there from now on, while any VGM we film outside of MAG will be on our DiF page, linked in the description above. Thank you all for the subs too, it makes me regret uploading this to my personal channel and not making one for our team ahead of time. :P

@@SleepyReapy32 MM2 was composed by a man, Takashi Tateishi (credited as Ogeretsu Kun), with Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae (credited as Manami Ietel) co-composing a minor part of the melody for Air Man's stage. -from wiki (and also the credits on my OST files)
All of these 80's composers wrote their music on the same instruments, then the devs put in the beeps and bloops. This is totally metal and the composers knew it. Same thing with CastleVania, etc.
Well, Takashi Tateishi was tasked to write *cool* music for the soundtrack of Mega Man 2. Only Crash Man's stage music was the exception for being cheerful.
The guy playing the game must have the most awesome MegaMan expeirence ever. A whole fucking band playing while you have to not die through each stage... damn bro so intense... so jelly
Speed running a game is one thing, but doing so with a band playing the soundtrack live as you do, while in front of hundreds, if not thousands, of people? That must be one hell of a nervous rush.
I thought this whole show was amazing until it clicked that there was someone in the background actually playing the game, AND the band was playing in sync with the game... then I was floored

I prefer Mega Man 3. It doesn’t have Wily Stage 1-2, but it does have superior Robot Master themes, and if Blues’ theme doesn’t get you, I don’t know what will.
The OST of the entire franchise is awesome, and people only talk about the second game. For me, The soundtrack of MM5 is the best one, with MM3 in second and MM2 in third place. But again, All the 6 games have a masterpiece soundtrack.
How awesome is it that music from a game my friends and I were blown away by when it first came out is still going strong thanks to a dedicated community 30+ years later? As a 46 year old who grew up with this, hats off to the band and everyone else in the community. It’s heartwarming :)
I'm pleasantly surprised that so many of you keep coming back to watch and comment on this.Even I still watch it a lot, it's probably one of the best shows we've ever recorded. Connor Kroening The damage part I agree on, taking barely any damage, but if you watch him carefully he's full on skipping most of the game, and I bet he plays this game out the ass so he knows the work a rounds. Not dying in this game is easy for me. Out of the first trilogy this is the easiest. I played this game about 4 months ago on the DS and I just killed it in about an hour. No lie... It be badass to have a band play your game theme song during your gameplay. It may get loud but hell, you gotta feel the rush and the moment.
I can't believe how awesome this is. The music in Mega Man, and to a much greater extent Mega Man 2 (along with a healthy dose of Pink Floyd) helped turn me into the musician I am today. It's incredible to see dudes on stage playing the (criminally unrecognised) video game music that I have been playing in my living room since the 1980's!
That's truly awesome. They must have some amazing stamina recovery, to be playing nearly an hour straight with only occasional short breaks when the stages are completed. Not only that, but the mere fact that they were able to stay in sync with each other so well. The gamer was also pretty good at Mega Man, definitely had some prior practice ;) Great job!!
This show made me discover an entire world, and ultimately met with one of my best friends ever. I'm from Sweden, Alfta, a village out in the middle of nowhere. And thank friggin' god for YT and MAG
@@TheEvathcebor I was a major dickhead for no reason 4 years ago. I still stand it's not at all hard to do especially if they had practice for this but I left sooo many stupid comments here
Wow, that was really good. It goes to show you just how poorly modern video game music holds up against the old stuff. Some of the material is just fucking brilliant.
For those who missed it, Bit Brigade came back to MAGFest 2019 and played Mega Man 2 again! Not only that, they had the composer of the game, Takashi Tateishi, come out on stage with them at the beginning of the show! ruclips.net/video/wyUjy6zMpoE/видео.html
very rarely do I prefer live versions of music to studio versions, this is one performance I just dig for an indefineable reason though. I come back here once a week and listen through while writing DnD prep lol. The fast pace keeps my mind moving, and the lack of vocals makes it easier to focus than other music : )
this must have been one of those moments in time where the band are all consciously and subconsciously on the same level, all the stars are alligned for a brief hour, it’s literally as perfect as it can ever be.. the other ones are great but this one keeps bringing me back. ちょこちょこ3の要素が入ってくるのがたまらんね
Why haven't I seen this before? This is madness. So good.
Madness...?
THIS!IS!SPARTA!
Before? i mean i got here 2 years after you...
this is the coolest thing ever
That's truly awesome. They must have some amazing stamina recovery, to be playing nearly an hour straight with only occasional short breaks when the stages are completed.
Not only that, but the mere fact that they were able to stay in sync with each other so well.
The gamer was also pretty good at Mega Man, definitely had some prior practice ;)
Great job!!
I come back to this video every now and then. Ridiculously entertaining.
was eating a glazed donut while watching. MOST ACTION PACKED DONUT I EVER HAD
ok thats f'ing funny
im still watchin this in 2022!
으아.. 끝내주네요!!! ㅡ.ㅜ
한국에서도 이런 공연 보고 싶다..
19:50 Bubble man
This NEEDS an album. ...because I need to have it.
where was this content that I did not find it before!!!!! Awesome!!!!! 😎
This performance is awesome!! some how, i cannot stop crying watching this.
Literally made me cry. So good. I still say that Megaman 2 had the best game music ever made.
2018 and still watching this awesomeness!
Yeah buddy I have come back to this so many times since I found it in 2015 - now it's 2022 holy shit time files!
Awesome !!! Genius, my all time favourite video game, uta como lo jugaba6os mi hermano y yo en un NES que teniamos, son una chingoneria de banda
Holy Shit...most amazing thing that i have ever been privileged to witness!!
This show made me discover an entire world, and ultimately met with one of my best friends ever. I'm from Sweden, Alfta, a village out in the middle of nowhere. And thank friggin' god for YT and MAG
Wood man intro drums got me so hype I nearly jumped right the fuck out of my chair
You don't know how stupidly happy I am just seeing this exist. Thank you!
The transition from crash man to spark man was awesome!!
Woodman was awesome!
I respect the player the most. How could he be so confident that he would never die once?
Easy game on the easy difficulty setting.
@@SleepyReapy32 even so. That's something few people can do with confidence, if at all, for real.
@@TheEvathcebor I was a major dickhead for no reason 4 years ago. I still stand it's not at all hard to do especially if they had practice for this but I left sooo many stupid comments here
Air man is my favorite ❤
Wow, that was really good. It goes to show you just how poorly modern video game music holds up against the old stuff. Some of the material is just fucking brilliant.
I have two vinyl pressings. Love you guys!!!!!!! Thanks for keeping the childhood heart alive.
"Is this Mega Man 2?" Cracks me up. xD
Back here end of 2023
For those who missed it, Bit Brigade came back to MAGFest 2019 and played Mega Man 2 again! Not only that, they had the composer of the game, Takashi Tateishi, come out on stage with them at the beginning of the show!

very rarely do I prefer live versions of music to studio versions, this is one performance I just dig for an indefineable reason though. I come back here once a week and listen through while writing DnD prep lol. The fast pace keeps my mind moving, and the lack of vocals makes it easier to focus than other music : )
36:25 = best part .
Found this in 2021 holy shit. This is superb.
Get that bass out front!!! Just as sick as the guitars! Great work guys!!!
this must have been one of those moments in time where the band are all consciously and subconsciously on the same level, all the stars are alligned for a brief hour, it’s literally as perfect as it can ever be.. the other ones are great but this one keeps bringing me back. Ill be lookin out for these guys now
Finding this is a real treat - this is awesome.
Kinda wild that I've watched this 946,682 times
I love how they barely have any time to play the boss themes XD
11 years later, and this is still my favorite video on the internet. 💛
