It’s definitely something refs need to watch for more often. It unfortunately happens more frequently than one would think because it’s harder to see than something obvious like biting, twisting fingers, etc.
IMO, masterful performance by brooks. He took out a guy who potentially would have won another gold medal this year and was the reigning world champion and Olympic gold medalist!

Everyone will generally have one side they favor but at high levels of combat sports you have to be able to seriously threaten both sides. For example, imagine how much easier defense would be if you had an opponent you knew would only attempt Kimuras to your right side!
Can you go into a breakdown on that oil check, an in depth 20 min breakdown. Why 2 knuckles? Why not 4 knuckles? Curious to hear your thoughts
