How about that! Vinnie would have enjoyed this night! Thanks for the playing the game legit for all them years! Congratulations on you, Puljos! A connoisseur gentleman of the sport! Respect! Dodgers fan!
When someone says Vin would have enjoyed the night and admired the player (and I absolute agree), that player may not appreciate that from life long Dodger fans, there is no higher compliment or praise we could bestow!
@@jackson5116 It’s actually weird that Vin didn’t call it. It’s almost hard to believe how many of the most iconic moments in sports, not just baseball (49ers and “The Catch” for example) he happened to call. Aaron passing Ruth, Buckner’s error, Montana to Clark, Gibson’s HR, Koufax’s perfection, and so many more. It’s actually a little hard to believe when you look at the full list. A perfect game is exceptionally rare in baseball, for example, then note of the very few that have happened, how many of them he just happened to call, and not because they were all Dodgers. It would seem even God (or your preferred higher power of choice) loved listening to Vin, so made sure he was always on the mic for such moments. 😁
Even more amazing is he met his future wife, who already had his future step daughter with DS, while he was in Junior College! Not a junior in college, junior college. He took that on fully, without hesitation, and to this day, while in junior college, a time when most of us thought a life challenge was trying to figure out how to get beer with no money or ID. Some people are just different. He’s one.
I played for Fernando at Cleveland State….he was an inspiration…he expected you to work hard…his baseball knowledge was second to none….a real influence….
He HAS to give credit to the Dodgers for it. Not just because he hit number 700 in Los Angeles, but just the fact that the Dodgers picked him up after the Angels let him go. Had no one picked him up, he'd have finished his career with 667 home runs, falling 33 short of 700.
Damn there are some cynical people up in here. I enjoy Albert's love for the game, he helped change the Dodgers clubhouse just as much as the Dodgers inspired him. Enjoy baseball my friends!!
@@joetravieso3542 It must be nice to live your life with your head buried in the sand. How many times have the baseball fans been fooled? A-Rod, Bonds, McGwire, Canseco, Sosa, Giambi, Clemons, and on and on. Pujols couldn't even tell the truth about his age. Are we supposed to believe he wasn't juicing like the rest? You're very naive.

Much respect for this man! The way he carries himself on and off the field. You can't help but to applaude and cheer for him.
And she’s wearing the right jersey! Hell yes!
What a special night for Cardinals fans, Dodgers fans and for anyone who loves baseball. Chills!

you know as good as Vin was, he'd have given Albert the moment, and then praise him on an illustrious career.

Awwww I didnt know he had a DS daughter... such a great player, role model and most of all, Dad. You sir, have won the game of life.
She's his stepdaughter, but treats her like his other kids.

The Pujols Family Foundation does a lot of good for children with down syndrome too!

Really hard to take any of these offensive records in baseball seriously anymore. They've been permanently corrupted.
