Just so you know... The "ladder made of sticks" IS the "rickety stile". A stile is just a ladder or steps over a country wall or fence for humans that prevents animals getting in/out. Rickety just means unsturdy or old and likely to collapse haha.

Welcome to Spain!! Looks like an amazing trip. Great tips too. Catalan is actually it's own language (and not a dialect). My partner being French and a Spanish speaker actually understands more than I do as just a Spanish/English/basic French Speaker....and fun fact, many people from Mallorca also speak Mallorquí!!
Drop a shout if you guys make it to Catalonia!
