    As you probably figured out by now, the Delta travel trailer was released early.

    This is the core to successful manufacturing. Leadership, not management, totally makes the difference.

    Wow, wow, if we had any doubts about Alliance, you certainly made us believers. Thank you for speaking with some people who work there to show us how they're happy and treated well. Awesome.

    Extremally informative. I believe if we move away from our current 5th wheel, Alliance has the order to loose. Great Video.

    Love My 32rls Avenue. I have had many 5th wheels over the past 35 years and the Avenue is the best one I have ever had. World class level of customer service as well.

    Thank you for these tours. Seeing how they are built and their quality puts these brands towards the top of my consideration list should I ever purchase one.

    Great tour JD! I've seen many tours of the Alliance factory and nobody has truly covered the lamination process. We purchased our 30 RLS last fall, and I've been wanting more detail on how the lamination process was done. We are very pleased with our unit.

    I like Alliance except for one thing. I have walked through maybe 6 different Alliance 5th wheels, the floor always feels thin under my feet, almost springy, and the kitchen islands don't seem to be sturdy. All of the ones I have walked through you can shake the island with 1 finger and it moves at least a couple of inches back and forth.

      Is Alliance using the OSB Dyna Span like Keystone? Or plywood?

    Great, informative video; so many happy employees building quality products--thanks for posting! Couple of stupid questions, specifically pertaining to the new SLE line: 1) where specifically is Alliance using Azdel double-wall composite sides: the 2 sidewalls? the front and back walls? Ceilings? Floors? And whichever of the six sides they're NOT using Azdel composite walls, what are they using instead? I understand why they're putting wood inside the aluminum tubing to help the screws bite, and I understand that the Azdel is supposed to prevent water leakage/damage, but if water does somehow penetrate into the interior, won't the wood inside the aluminum tubes then mildew/rot anyways? I suppose there isn't a lighter, cheaper, man-made alternative to wood they could insert inside the aluminum tubing for the screws to bite that wouldn't ever rot if water were to somehow get exposed?

    Did you happen to see how far apart the aluminum tubes are in the floor? It would have been interesting to see the materials they use on those. I imagine there's no reason for a laminate floor to get soft if it's built well. Large spans of foam without support is only going to be so strong. It certainly looks like the walls are built solid.

    The inner wall welds were full width. The weld at the bottom of the cap was a tap weld. Any thoughts as to why?

    I have a question about the wall structures for Alliance. It appears that the window edges have aluminum framing? I really like Rockwood but I can't tell for sure if they do that or not but it appears that they don't. Do you know? But at the same time, I also wonder about the laminate floor in Alliance vs the plywood in Rockwood.

    Weld are not enought they brake on the road, they need to add gussets at the bottom and at the top of each studs.

    • @johnaz1018
      @johnaz1018 Год назад

      Why ?

    • @RoadieWingZZ
      @RoadieWingZZ 3 месяца назад

      Not really. The wall composition with the sandwiching of layered materials mitigates the diagonal stresses for the use case. It’s a different loading model than is being experienced by frame flex problems where gussets are integral to the deflection stresses being encountered.

    I see a haze in that warehouse…should have some kind of bag house to collect aluminum welding smoke so everyone isint breathing that smoke in…jmtc

    There is an incorrect statement made in this video. The azdel material can and will hold water and I have contacted the leader ship at Alliance to inform them with photographic proof of some side wall samples they provided me showing this weigh gain when subjected to water. In fact it is holding in 24 hours about an additional 48% of its original weight in water weight in the azdel. It does not delaminate from the foam core and over time will dry back out but water retention is an issue and can be a wicking issue. This is a composite material so it is fibrous.

    Did you at any point during your tour think that something was being hidden or staged, after the camera was off. To me an owning a Valor (which I love ) bought it second hand and someday look to by new, I thought it was great manufacturing.

    Pinch rolled walls??! wow. Alliance does a lot of things right, but I guess the investment in vacuum bonding lamination equipment was too high for a start up company. Double Azdel is excellent, but....pinch rolled sidewalls is a big negative.

      @@TravelinOp I have not, I will have to go find that. Yes, Rockwood builds a great unit. Double Azdel, vacuum laminated (even the roof), 5/8" plywood floors in everything from their tiny Geo Pro to their biggest fifth wheel. Torsion axles AND suspension which I greatly prefer over leaf springs (even Airstream uses it). All Maxx Air fans with covers, water miser, twin 30 pound propane tanks even on their MINI Lite small trailers. Even Geo Pro tiny trailers get the bigger 21" oven. Not a fan of Forrest River, but Rockwood owners are loud about their love of the brand. No, I don't own one.

    Cool video, but at the same time I feel that everybody was put on "high alert". Not a lot of genuine responses, in my opinion. Don't mean to come across rude, just an outside observation.
