From Warner Bros. Pictures comes the biggest film of the year: Director/Co-writer/Producer Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne.
Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies-Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright)-amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

I love it how the Riddler is standing in the background waiting to make his move plus it does feel like an psychological horror film.

I've heard The Riddler was great in this film. Between him and Corey Michael Smith's portrayal on Gotham, it's so nice to see him get some justice on screen.

@@Gavin48 TDKR opening is about as unBatman-y as you can get, no Gotham, just a plane in broad daylight. Felt more like the opening to a standard action movie than a Batman movie.

Batman walking through the police and detectives in possibly the next scene is one of the best scenes in the whole film but ai can't find it anywhere 😭😭

The second Nirvana song played in the opening scene, my heart was full of joy!
Never thought I would be so happy after watching a homicide crime scene
I really love how connected Batman is to this dark song of Nirvana. You can hear the progression clearly from 07:09, but before that a darker tone, slower, is going on in the background with the same progression. And through out the movie, the theme is coming back. Now, rewatch and think about that added, to a already amazing movie :D

@@SujitAhirrao it's a shame how poorly it is shown here. Not sure if you saw it in cinema, but in a properly configured setting, the contrast, colour and tone is spectacular. I've never seen a film look like this.
