This song and it's twin " Little Jeannie " just blows me away. The piano playing and the guitar riffs are out of this world and I don't think there was a single person in the audience who didn't hum or react in various ways to the music. I'm so fortunate to have lived thru an age where music was music and not just cacophony and noise, thank god. Cheers Elton and Co. Keep on keeping on.
Yes he is a legend such an amazing artist and such pastion to when he sings a song and they all have something to do with his life as well I am so glad that I grew up listening to his music and past it on too my children as well
Yes I’m a 60’s model... 1960 exact. Sir Elton John your electrifying music is in my bloodstream!! Feeling so wonderful and lucky to have years of your music. Rock on!
I'm so grateful for growing up in an era of singer/songwriting genius. We were just like the kids in that movie "Dazed and Confused". Thinking about how we missed out on the Hippie Revolution and the music of Janis, Jim & Jimi. But I didn't realize at the time that the music of Elton John, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Jackson Browne. I was booked to see him in November 2020 and I'm not sure whether it's been postponed yet? I hope it still takes place, I've missed a few concerts already this year and seeing Elton will be amazing.

pretty sure i read an interview with EJ where he said that he and Bernie Taupin had never actually sat in the same room together while working on a song; mindblowing
Here in Brazil, quarantined in March 2020, but always listening to magical and eternal music ... Good energy to the whole world in this very difficult moment, but we will come out of this better than we entered, more human !!
My wife loves Elton & was fortunate enough to see him in Philly twice...said she sang every song with tears streaming down her face, it was 2 nights in the 90's that are forever etched in her memory ❤
Wow this was from 2012, when he was about 65 years old. I was blessed to have seen him at about 10 concerts in So Cal live. Amazing artist. I still get chills. Tiny Dancer is of my favorite songs of all time. I bought one of my first albums, Madman Across the Water in 1971, and wore this song out. It definitely reminds me of a girl in high school that I had a crush on (since second grade). She was a ballerina, with a pirate smile. Her name was Linda. Hope she has a wonderful Mother's day with her two children, and grandkids in Virginia.
Favourite singer/songwriter/musician of this generation. And done so much to help others. A genuine kind and very generous person. I salute you Sir Elton.
My first Elton John concert was in Baton Rouge, La in around 1972. After the warm up band, all of the lights in the entire place were turned off and it was pitch black for about thirty seconds and the place went dead silent The next thing we saw was a single small spotlight on Elton at his piano. He had a picture frame portrait on his piano, of The Tiny Dancer who I have been told was Bernie Taupin's girlfriend at one point in time, "a seamstress for the band". He had practically no accompaniment and he played that song and it was like magic. He captured the audience more than bands with a singer a drummer an organ player and three guitarists, all by himself. I had "read it in a magazine" that he would play encores all night long as long as he was being cheered. He came out for four encores, every one better than the last. That was, by far, the best concert that I have ever been to in all my years, and I have been to many. To add, this was when he was still young and when he still used to actually jump up at the piano into almost a handstand and keep playing all the time. He would jump on top of the piano and jump off. He had amazing physicality at that time. www.google.com/search?q=elton+john+handstanding+on+his+piano&rlz=1C1GKLB_enUS621US624&sxsrf=ALeKk00JIZQtEsf-o8Ofo2eZ8B25txcQxw:1585446540294&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=JqmuVEgLTCCN1M%253A%252CmBYP8Xf-ejebLM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kQWs_TRT9giCfBlWkMI-5l-sSyvxA&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjttODOyL7oAhXMk60KHQ9_BdEQ9QEwCXoECAYQGA#imgrc=JqmuVEgLTCCN1M:
My “First Concert” was at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. I was 18, on my own... and immediately “hooked for life”!!! Now, I am 65 years old and still in awe over his music. Elton (and Bernie) you are truly one of the best things that have ever happened to me. ❤️
i just Had to add this::::::: Victoria, U and I are about the same age. I was in tech-school @ Chanute AFB, IL which is close to Galesburg. In FEB '75 at E ILINOIS U in Champagne, Jethro Tull "Bungle in The Jungle" concert was going on. Just an insane concert. I lost my '72 GTO in the blowing snow out in the parking lot that night, at least until Most all the cars had left. and the auditorium was packed to the ceiling. crazy days
Those of us who bought his records and went to his concerts in the 70s perhaps. I didn't vote down but have to say his current work is very commercial and his concerts are not a shadow of what they were.
One of the top 10 live versions of any song ever. His piano playing and the drumming really make this a wonder of a live version. The audience is into it too. Terrific . Words are great too.
In the early 70’s I watch Elton play the Live at the Oakland Coliseum. Talk about a great performer & a wonderful entertainer. Just struck me as a truely wonderful man!!!!!!
Brilliant. Passionate, professional, electric. Off the charts. Sung in karaoke so many times. Favourite song of all time. Fan since 1970. Greatest respect. Love you Elton. xx
Absolutely brilliant....so many emotions I am feeling right now. Music is so powerful. Sad times, great times in life. I am at home because the the pandemic and have time to listen to so many of my favorite songs. Singing like I am a star, crying for the loss of my dear husband and joy for my sons and friends!!!
I do the same exact thing with this song and a few others. I lost my wonderful husband 20 years ago last January 18th, and am still doing it. But have lost every single one of my family members since , one about every year since , and these songs are what gets me through the horribly sad and lonley times. My daddy used to blast all of Elton John's music when I was a very little girl so it really takes me back. I'm 52 now. It really makes a HUGE difference in my life. It would make the biggest difference in my life if I could just meet him one time. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss as well , hang in there honey.
Was there at MSG! Friend and I snuck further and further down from our upper tier seats and got as far as eye level, incredible experience. Love Elton since I was 12 way way back in the '70s

In two hundred years, all of our pop stars will be forgotten, but Sir Elton’s work will live on as a Master of the age.
Elton and Bernie absolutely fantastic. Just like the Beatles and George Martin. 1+1=infinity
I’d do anything to see him live again. He was in a word perfect and not everyone can do live shows well and with so much sparkle lol
