Burnout 101 | Can Edmunds' CEO Smoke the Tires?

Can your CEO do a burnout? How about Avi Steinlauf, the CEO of Edmunds.com? In what Edmunds Road Test Editor Carlos Lago figured was some kind of bizarre new-hire hazing ritual, the editorial and video teams put him in charge of finding out.
The plan was simple: Get Avi in the driver seat of two cars from our long-term test fleet, and make some smoke. And maybe have some fun in the process.
The cars? The first is a 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe R. Its 550 horsepower is more than enough to transform its rear tires into nothingness, while its automatic transmission makes it simple to learn. The second is a 2015 Ford Mustang GT. With less power and a manual gearbox, it requires a bit more foot dexterity. Fortunately it also has a line lock, which makes burnouts guaranteed.
