Duh! The wheel was spinning so fast you couldn't keep track. That's why it looked like it was standing still. In other words, the wheel-spin synced with the camera framerate
Nobody wanted to tell the guy in the Corvette there was smoke coming from under the car? They're all hanging out just letting him do it.LOL Thanks for the tutorial dude.
ScottHermanFitness Haha dang man, thanks for the comment man, you're making me feel like a celebrity over here. I've seen quite a few of your fitness videos, keep up the good work dude.
Oh I'm sorry ford moved to Mexico - sorry So cars made in Mexico Shoes made in China "The American Dream is made in China" Lol that's from horrible bosses 2
Now fellas, This is a real good tutorial how to do a proper burnout! Just gonna give a bit of basics for the FWD guys. What you should NOT do when you hook the clutch is slam the brakes this is a NO GO for FWD cars. All car brakes (if not modified) have more brake power on front then on rear (it's aprox 70% - 30% for front-rear and it may differ greatly for some cars). Therefore if you hit the brakes as soon as you dump the clutch what you saw in the yellow corvette video will happen to you too! What you have to do fellas is lift the E brake (you can either lock it or press the button and hold it until you're done with doing a stationary and bad ass motherfucking burnout and just fly away!) and rev high enough then just dump the clutch. Your rear brakes will lock the rear tires and you guess what happens next... You do a FWD burnout! FWD burnouts are even less hard on cars then RWD burnouts because your brakes won't be heating up since there is no force being applied to the front brake calipers! So all you have to worry about is your engine being heated if done a prolonged burnout and your tires. Also FWD burnout is less hard on a clutch then a RWD car because again there isn't braking force applied to the front wheels and that way wheels rotate more freely and less force is being returned to the clutch. Oh i almost forgot FWD burnout also has less chances of you swirling into side of the road but you still have to pay attention to the feedback from the wheels and counter steer accordingly! I hope this helps.
lol, i captured that "7.xx MPG" intentionally, it averages 12-13 MPG with my "normal" spirited driving. I pretty much always let the engine run between 2,000-3,000 RPM when cruising. If I tried my hardest to keep the MPG "good" it would probably do 14-15 in the city, but would take almost ALLLL the fun away from driving it. It will actually do 22 MPG on the highway in 5th or 6th, not bad for having 550HP on tap. At the end of the day we're talking, at best, the difference of one or two car payments in gas money at the end of the year. Don't buy a car like this unless you are 100% cool with; Never looking at gas prices when you re-fuel, and spending an extra $1,000 a year on gas. It's a driving mans car, and as far as I know, ya only live once :)
Shelby Monster I drive a genesis R-Spec and while it might not be a supercharged domesticated 500+ hp monster I fully understand your point of view and respect it. We lovers of cars simply tend to dip more money in our babies and that is perfectly okay no matter how another person perceives it with their 4-door automatic piece of shit ;)
dkrypto911 pretty sure you were referring to me but i don't understand how a 2015 Lexus is250 f sport is a piece of shit. I probably put in way more money in terms of modifications to this car than you probably have in your genesis. Plus its a hyundai. Mines a lexus. Lets be real here. Who do you think has the shittier car?
+DuBstep115 Your brake slave cilinder will come out and start rubbing the disk, or even worse just pop out completely. Not a very clever idea I'm afraid.
The easier way: 1. Push the clutch in 2. Put it in first 3. Smash the gas 4. Release the clutch 5. Take out the whole crowd if there is one, if not, find a huge crowd before doing any of the above
You should check out the compilation of clutch and gearbox destroying. I was dumbfounded by the amount of people who burned the clutches of their cars to the point of fire. I immediately searched for a burnout tutorial trying to figure out why so many people screwed up. This video answer the question: they pressed the brake pedal too hard. There was also quite a few ignorant drivers who were failing at doing burnouts on AWD cars...
Just started taking driving lessons...this is not what I should be watching... On the other hand it's interesting to see how something like this is possible and I still do not fully onderstand it, but maybe I can try it with my grandma's pimped up blinged out nitro equipped golf lol
+Tracomaster Don't try a burnout when you're inexperienced with cars. Wait till you can handle it man, it's extremely easy to wreck the car if you don't know what you're doing. Wait till you got a few years under your belt bro.
I can do burnout with my audi A4 b7 1.9 tdi man. It's all about the traction. It's -2 C outside and at 60 km/h my ESP screams if I floor it. I bet I can do second gear burnout if it's slippery like this. On dry, with my pilot sport 4 it's almost impossible to get slip without some breaks applied. Oh, it's FWD, not quattro ^_^ and it has a bigger turbo on it (around 180 hp and 400 Nm).
***** Yea....my $2000 '88 mr2 does seem pretty extravagant to most of the 3rd world, but since you have internet access I'm sure you could afford a used rwd vehicle, you just have to want it.
Bob Hope of course I want one, just so you know, a used s2000 costs $33,000 where I live and im talking about a beat up one, with many miles on the clock. old mr2s or miatas are great cars and are indeed cheaper but nobody in my place is willing to go through the nightmare of looking for spare parts, if you can actually find one that is in good condition is another massive thing to consider. Also mr2s are not practical cars. Old rwd lexuses or bmws are out of reach for most of us due to our ridiculous tax based on engine displacement (meaning the bigger the engine the more expensive your road tax) Simply put, Malaysia is the worst country to live in if you're a car guy. That said I do plan to get a used brz when I have the money, just not anytime soon, till then, I will happily settle for any fun well sorted fwd car.
***** I'm sorry, but my best advice is to go pick up truck early, I know there is a lot of FWD car-trucks, but you can find some older small used pick up truck and learn the fun of RWD, the light rear end makes up for the lack of power. A cheap truck taught me a lot about FR driving dynamics and how great they are. P.S. It rains a lot there, so practice in the rain, in the rain with a pickup truck, you can drive it like it's a 500HP monster spinning the wheels everywhere you want. Accept the drift, be one with the drift. :)
Thanks for adding the second part about not bouncing off the rev limiter. That's bad. At first you said rev it up to the limiter which is still dangerous. If you can't do a burnout well under your redline then you probably shouldn't be doing burn outs. They look awesome but most ppl have no idea what they are doing. Dumping the clutch at 5-7 thou rpm is dangerous in an engine not built for that kind of torture Have fun stay safe!!
he went from fully depressed clutch and accelerator to fully depressed brakes and accelerator. That is why the wheels broke lose for all of a second and then everyone out there watched an idiot behind the wheel. Also behind the camera because he walked in front of a Corvette under power( lucky the brakes didn't fail.)
I did a burn out a few hours ago in my new to me 2014 camaro ss 6 speed (turned 18 so I financed it) and it was great fun but got a bit squirrely at the end. I'll end it with the clutch pedal next time
So burning up the clutch will only be from if you pressed the brake all the way down to keep the tires from moving in any way? I saw in one video that how you dump the clutch can give you problems as well, by dumping it way too quickly, and recommending feathering it the slightest bit as you slam the accelerator? I got a Miata a month or so ago, so I've just been having fun in it now, and have done a couple take-off burnouts, and didn't want to risk stalling the car by trying to do a standing burnouts. This video definitely helped me out with that!
I have always wondered if you hold the breaks, wouldn't that hold the rear pads on the disc, even only around 30%, which would probably allow you to spin, but it also puts stress on the axles and all that. I always told a real burnout drag and drift cars have an option to disable the rear break cycle , so no hydraulic fluid pumped on the rear cycle. I am sure some cars have the modified. P.S. for the end, I don't think the engine explodes from heat, if your fan is spinning air and it is not like Miami in July, but from the over-reving, while stopping it with your breaks. A pretty simple thing to do, if you do it with a little break application, but stupid after all. It doesn't prove any driving skills, at least for me this is super easy, and you burn rubber, melt your breaks, destroy your tires for 3 of those, and then have no control in the rain.
Even if your car is around 350 hp. You can get a good enough burnout without having to use your brake. My 02 WS6 was roughly 380 to the wheels. And I never used the brake. And with the T56 setup. It's easy to do a burnout starting in 2nd.
Silas Tai Yes you are right but doing a burn out is extremely simple. If you hare a half way decent driver you can figure it out. If you need a training video to do it that means you shouldn't because you'll prob end up crashing or running someone over.
+vcdrny well, i watched this video just to comfirm what i thought was right. its better to be here learning rather than being outside burning your clutch isnt it?
+Gustav “Gustisch” Barthelson yeah but I say it because no one showed me. I literally saw it being done and I knew exactly what it took to do it. The first time I did it I got it on my second try. But you are right not everyone has enough common sense to figure it out on their own. I see people trying all the time and everyone screaming "turn your traction control off". Not everyone that drives a vehicle should be trying to do stuff like this .
I don’t know.....this kind of sounds like bad advice because stomping on the brakes can lock up the wheels and destroy the driveshaft, clutch, or brakes. At the same time, this is the most comprehensive video I’ve seen on the subject matter and dude is obviously able to pull it off without destroying his car. Winter is coming, so maybe I’ll practice the technique in my Mustang while it’s nice and slippery out then give it Hell in spring.
+Matheus Bitencourt as +CrazyBuzzy1 pointed out, you need to use the handbrake instead of the footbrake. I'd also suggest perhaps doing as they do at dragstrips, and wetting the pavement with either water or a mix of water and detergent, to encourage the front tires to let go.
Engine wont hurt as long as your water temp is ok, but its bad for your axle, transmission clutch... If you do it once a week for 5-10 sec it wont hurt anything, other than tires and brakes will worn out faster
You put your left foot in
You put your right foot in
You take your left foot out
And you slide it all about
You do the hokey pokey

It's called CGI. There was a crowd.
LBCBassKings Some damn good CGI at that!

Watching that clutch get destroyed made me cry.
tavi921 lol i know what u mean
tavi921 Typical rich idiots with expensive cars that they can't drive properly.

can he not feel it slip
@@jeremypsenicka2855 the tyre smoke smells completely different from clutch smoke
There was humor in this video but all of the safety and mechanical guidance was genuine.
Thanks!
This video should be renamed to "how to make tire companies filthy rich"
+John A I think drifting and events like nascar is doing a better job lol
Or how to not look stupid at a track.
Don’t you mean:
how to make tire companies filthy rich like a bad*ss motherf*cker?

Another tip to avoid burning out clutch:
Have friends watching who, if the tires aren't spinning, will yell out "STOP!" instead of just sitting, watching and laughing as your clutch melts. (3:52)
Honestly that was a dick move on their part.
this video should start by informing the American audience why this car has 3 pedals
daGRiPreaper You mean the country with the most cars with 3 pedals?
idk on what planet you've been living on but the US has a total of 8% manual cars.
Hahahahahaha
daGRiPreaper hahahaha
daGRiPreaper Well I'm assuming they have more since America has the most cars out of any other country.
the corvette guy lol but i ask myself....how come the people watching him Never told him to stop that the tired werent spinning?? ? bad friends
+J.Santos very bad or very retarded friends :) probably very jealous friends want to see him fail...
+tehice23 maybe they didnt know either........ it was test one from what the guy said so thats probably it
Cause they wanted that white mans money. Lol rich people dp dumb stuff

haha awesome video. I learned the hard way in my 84 Camaro when I was 16. My friends never let me forget I smoked the clutch ;)
ScottHermanFitness Haha dang man, thanks for the comment man, you're making me feel like a celebrity over here. I've seen quite a few of your fitness videos, keep up the good work dude.
Didn't expect to see you here.
Wow, both a fitness expert and a car guy. Hell yeah, man. My respect, brother.
ScottHermanFitness nice to see you here didn't know you also liked cars
ScottHermanFitness whatchu doin here
Step one: Get the most American looking shoes on the planet.
Then buy a gun and a lot of bacon
Step two: get the most American car for burn outs
Fake. He didn't hit any crowds of people

Why is this a joke?
You did it but you only forget to say that the engine should be warmed up. No burnout with a cold (just started) engine.
Greetz from germany ✌
You're driving a V8 right if it reads 7.6 MPG on the display :D
Nick of Time duh lol I'm sure he wouldn't show off no weenie v6
Novak most new v8 get 18 to 25mpg
My 69 charger gets about 5 haha
Gets u laid per gallon not miles per gallon
Not really I got a 2019 Camaro ss and it gets about 24-26 mpg. You get less than 10 when you’re always flooring it like a banana head lol.
You should add "If you don't end up in a ditch, you're doing it wrong"

what about the part where i crash into a crowd?
That's in the next video stay tuned.

But the SRT10 isn't a Chevy (Dodge is till better than Chevy, but ford FTW)
JZH10000 yeah, but honda is better than all.
Hell yeah FWD!
weZZy waiter Yeah LOL

But the S2000.... ._.
Remove the rear brake pads for super easy burnout.. Now you can slam brakes as hard as you like

xgelmirx well just remove it
+DuBstep115 just take off the caliper makes it even easier :D
+DuBstep115
nah just put a bolt in the master cylinder where the rear brake line connects.
boy, Mexico is beautiful this time of year.
Must you censor out the curse words? What's the point of even saying them in that case?
+Hector Cortez Good video making
for some reason the bleeps make it funnier for me
+Paul Castro Same

No burn out will be better than the minivan burn out

So true dogde grand caravan roght?
Damn I didn’t even knew it was possible to burn your clutch now I’ve learned from others mistakes, thanks for this video.
o shit Mustang glad to see no crowds were there
How to learn burnouts: talk to an Australian.
right? haha not called Burnout Kings for nothing
Classic corvette owner can't even tell if his tires are spinning. It's a pretty obvious feeling...

This seems so tricky and can lead to so many trouble, It makes me not want to do it at all!
Maybe this was the point of the video alltogether lol
Just go to summernats in straya and you'll see how its done.
Bro the svt lights up every time you press the gas hard 😍😍😍 that's a nice detail
Cant even do a standing still burnout? Guess the mustang wants to just hit people
Mustangs have more brake in the back than the front....
+Stephen Anderson Maybe read my comment again. Looks like u missed the joke

If the clutch is released, the engine is accelerating and the wheels are locked because of the hard breaking. It means that the clutch is burning.
LOL.... So before social media I was burning out with my fam.. Proud to say I passed my technique down to my kid... 💣🚘🚘
8 mpg, i hope this car is not your daily.
that's the average of the burnout probably
I'm french and happy to well enough understand english, 'cause this video is nice ! ;-)

I've seen a Clubsport R8 drop a fat 2nd gear burnout, Was a sight to see
We get it you vape
So burning up the clutch will only be from if you pressed the brake all the way down to keep the tires from moving in any way? I saw in one video that how you dump the clutch can give you problems as well, by dumping it way too quickly, and recommending feathering it the slightest bit as you slam the accelerator?
I got a Miata a month or so ago, so I've just been having fun in it now, and have done a couple take-off burnouts, and didn't want to risk stalling the car by trying to do a standing burnouts. This video definitely helped me out with that!
I would try this in an S2000 but it has no torque...
pour antifreeze on the rear tires.
Pour gasoline on the rear tires
Pour pee on the rear tires
Pour the blood of MX-5 owners on the rear tires
Which s2k the ap1 or ap2 just wondering
Once i did burnout on my Cycle....
Even if your car is around 350 hp. You can get a good enough burnout without having to use your brake. My 02 WS6 was roughly 380 to the wheels. And I never used the brake. And with the T56 setup. It's easy to do a burnout starting in 2nd.
Just don't do a burn out. as simple as that
One does not simply refrain from doing burnouts in a fox body.
+SykoTech so true!!
Great tutorial glad you also showed things that can go wrong that away people know the consequences
Hello
i have a BMW E46 330 Diesel 184 HP it´s okey to Burnout?
jd parker THE BLOCKER such a car and you buy diesel :(((
From 5 years ago and still this taught me sum
Nothing has changed, except 550hp is no longer a lot of power lol, are they putting that much in the Prius yet?
Disclaimer if you need to watch this video to learn how to do a burnout. YOU shouldn't be doing a burnout.
+vcdrny This comment makes no fuckin sense.
Not everyone that drives a vehicle should be trying to do stuff like this .
vcdrny i think most people are scared of doing wrong and then breaking something, as some people aren't that good when it comes to car knowledge.
That cracked me up 😂🤣. 2 million views that is insane lol such a easy video to make. I definitely need to start rolling some footage of my mustang
Thanks man! Yeah, it's been getting steady views for years and years, but its died off a lot since I first made it. Make some vids fun!
Can I do it with a automatic transmission?
I hope this is ironie
Yes, just hold the brake and press the gas
Ok thank you
+THUNDERxX45 Thats little mean
I don’t know.....this kind of sounds like bad advice because stomping on the brakes can lock up the wheels and destroy the driveshaft, clutch, or brakes. At the same time, this is the most comprehensive video I’ve seen on the subject matter and dude is obviously able to pull it off without destroying his car. Winter is coming, so maybe I’ll practice the technique in my Mustang while it’s nice and slippery out then give it Hell in spring.
I'm never doing a burnout in my life
You are bound to do so
judging by the fingerprint oil on the traction control button, this guy is pro!
Is it possible with a C3 1.4 80HP?
anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
+Nathaniel May I asked for a technical opinion, not a self-help sentence.
+Matheus Bitencourt ....instead of using the foot brake, you must use your handbrake because your vehicle is a FWD,have fun!!!
+Matheus Bitencourt No you dont, because c3 is fornt wheel drive
+Matheus Bitencourt as +CrazyBuzzy1 pointed out, you need to use the handbrake instead of the footbrake. I'd also suggest perhaps doing as they do at dragstrips, and wetting the pavement with either water or a mix of water and detergent, to encourage the front tires to let go.
Great detail in the explanation and heads up for novice racers
dude if you can't curse on you channel then stop cursing cause beeping so many time is annoying
We always called this power braking, my v 6 Mustang does burnouts like a champ.
Came here to see if car crashed in crowd
lol me too.... but he is somewhat smart. he said he is in a safe place with no PEOPLE AROUND. lolololol
Last time I checked you can burn out with an automatic most NHRA drag cars are some sort of automatic.
Is that only bad for the tiers or also for the engine?
Engine wont hurt as long as your water temp is ok, but its bad for your axle, transmission clutch... If you do it once a week for 5-10 sec it wont hurt anything, other than tires and brakes will worn out faster
The only video I have actually pressed like on. He explained shit so well 😂
