    This video is a bit dated now so I will be making a new one once the Druid is added to the game. Some updates/corrections now:
    Potions: Magical Healing (50%)
    Troll's Blood: Physical Healing (50%)
    Health Shrine: Magical Healing
    Second Wind: Scales with Buff Duration (individual tick amount does not change)

    Yo! Thank you for watching the vid, I do have a slight correction as Troll's Blood does increase with +Physical Healing at 50% scaling for the total heal (ty to clowd for the data!). So +10 physical healing would give you 105 health over 100 seconds instead of 100 health. 2nd wind may also now have been fixed (or fixed for a good bit) so I'll give that a test when the servers are back up and add to this comment shortly!
    edit: 2nd wind healing does increase with length instead of scaling the 50% to total duration! I didn't stack enough Will originally to see a difference as your health rounds down to the nearest integer but I dumped some gold and go my buff duration up to 9% to see a 9% increase in the healing. I may need to be at least enough to pass on 1 more tick (second) of the buff as well but I'll test some more later. This all will be included in the updated video when the druid is released!

Does magical healing on a cleric work also for your teammates ik that will and mpb will give my teammates extra hp when i heal them but if I'm the cleric and I have say 5 magical healing on does that only work for me the cleric or is it my teammates also that it will give them the extra hp from the magical healing?

  • @utkqu
    @utkqu Год назад +27

    I think troll's blood scales with physical healing like the potions do. But it is way less noticable since it heals 100 health over 100 second. With 10 physical healing for example it might restore 105 health in total.

      @@AlphaMelGibsongenerally the way I look at it for spellcasters is if it hits hard (fireball, chain Lightning, BoC, you want magic power to multiply it’s already high damage. Lower damage spells (zap, ice bolt) you want + magic damage to help bring their power up to par. Generally, magic power is a little better, but some of both is necessary. +true magic damage just ignores a players MDR

    • @ryan6daysaweek
      @ryan6daysaweek  Год назад +1

      I will definitely be doing this vid soon, I do think magic damage (and damage in general) will be getting an update with the upcoming content patch and wipe so I will likely hold off until then! For now, the general rules for each are:
      +Add Magic Damage: Magic Damage increase on all magic damage instances (with scaling) and will also be effected by headshot/limb shot modifiers
      +True Magic Damage: Magic Damage increase on all magic damage instances (with scaling) that ignores resistances but is not effected by headshot/limb shot modifiers
      +Will: Increases "Magic Power" by 1
      +Magic Power: Increases "Magic Power Bonus" by 2% (assuming you are at 25 Will, this ration changes depending on how much Will you have)
      +Magic Power Bonus: Increases your spell effect (damage/healing/etc.) by that percent, do note here that this does not multiply +Add Magic Damage or +True Magic Damage
      I definitely do a full sweep on how these apply to the different spells in the vid since it gets pretty specific with the spell scaling and each class has different starting Will and magic perks

    At some point Magical healing was pointless on a Cleric because you had to be wearing +MH gear in order to get the additional +health from the stat. I have seen Barbs/Fighters stacking MH recently with a pocket Cleric and I can only assume it is because Magical healing only benefits the wearer, not the caster. Did they change this recently? Because I believe throughout most of the playtests magical healing was pointless on cleric BC of this. I still to this day never go for MH gear on cleric, thinking it won't apply to my frontline.

    • @ryan6daysaweek

    kinda funny how you did this video and i realized today there is no stats showing magical healing. Meaning im not entirely sure if Vampirism with warlock makes base magical healing 20% more effective OR if its completely useless unless i have magical healing on my gear

    • @Mekose
      @Mekose Год назад +4

      According to the wiki it's a flat 20% after calc; so with a base kit warlock it would be base 1 x (24% magical power bonus / 25% ABR = 1.06) = 1.06 x 1.2 = 1.27 healing per tick; so it's basically useless on a warlock with no magical healing or will what so ever, only giving you 0.21 hps. With 1 additional magical healing it would be 2 x 1.06 = 2.12 x 1.2 = 2.54, in this case it's giving you .42 hps. It scales the more you have.
      Let's assume a mid-geared warlock with 30 will (40% MPB) and 5 magical healing. It would be 6 x 1.1 = 6.6 x 1.2 = 7.92 hps, a difference of 1.32 hps. A very geared lock with 40 Will and 10 magical healing would be 11 x 1.15 = 12.65 x 1.2 = 15.18 hps, difference of 2.53
      Unless my math is wrong, I believe this is how it works. My previous assumption was that it gave 20% additional magical healing, as in if you had 5 magical healing it would give you an additional 1, if you had 10 it'd give you 2, and so on. This means the perk is a little stronger than I thought; but not by much. I would say it's not worth running unless you have at least 5 magical healing on your gear.

    • @chrisbigglock1529
      @chrisbigglock1529 Год назад +2

      @@Mekose il be honest, i dont know the maths BUT vampirism has always felt useless with base gear. I only ever used it when i do small gearset with like 4 MH and more.

      +true ignores resistances but will not receive the headshot bonus (for projectile magic spells). So it does depend on your class/build. If you are a wizard who wants to maximize damage from magic missiles/icebolt then you want +add magic dmg. If instead you are running more AoE/hitscan and also running into higher magic resistance classes such as barb or warlock, then +true would be better. I don't see why you categorise the second wind healing as bugged. It does exactly what it says it does, that doesn't seem like a bug.
    Second wind just scales with your max health instead of healing, there is no miscommunication of an effect on the skill description either. "50% of your max health over 12 seconds." There are 2 variables in there that players can control, max health, which you would want as high as possible, and buff duration, which you would want as low as possible. in theory, you would want a -75% buff duration for second wind so it heals you in 3 seconds instead, or perhaps -100% for an instant effect.
    You're not the only one to suggest this is a bug so I am unsure where this idea comes from. Still though, Another video up to the amazing standard you have set for yourself, very much enjoyed.

    • @BeatSmokerFactory
      @BeatSmokerFactory Год назад

      Because most spells work differently. If it worked like other spells it would give you a Buff that Heals for x HP every second for 12 seconds which then would be Influenced by buff duration

    • @RedxFrost
      @RedxFrost Год назад +1

      It's not even bugged and functions like anything else would be expected to. You get more healing with longer buff duration and less if you somehow get negative. You just need to hit actual breakpoints to see an effect because you need a full second difference. Any negative buff duration below base and you lose 1 tick. You need +8.34% buff duration to see more healing than normal. The only thing that would change the actual heal/time ratio is modifying the base duration, but in this case you cannot change that. You can only change how long it lasts on you by modifying the buff duration which keeps the rate of healing constant and lasting longer.

    health pot scale whit...,(magical healing (50%) +5 would add +2.5 bc its 50/100),(buff duration and magical power bonus). how to count it 10% buff duration is 10/100=1/10 adding 1.5 on a 15 health pot bc 15 divided by 10 equal 1.5 you do the same whit your current stat number same whit magical power bonus just look out for (50)% (20%) and (100%) scalling 50/100 20/100 100/100 i tried my best to explain whitout being to complicated to understand dont take for granted every info you see in guide on yt this game move forward fast and have a lot of balance change coming in quick it dosnt take long for info being outdated or in some case totaly innacurate Ty and have fun in the dungeon!

    Is there a cap on magical healing on warlock's torture mastery?

    • @ryan6daysaweek
      @ryan6daysaweek  Год назад

      capped just based on items and possible Will. So for Magical Healing you can get a max of +15 (effectively +3.75 hp per second).

    damn i thought second wind was phys for sure, just assumed unless it said it was magi heal it was physi heal

      same, I wish it did since it doesn't have much scaling to really any class at the moment

    Wait so full magic power stacking warlock could work?

    • @ryan6daysaweek
      @ryan6daysaweek  Год назад

      it can definitely be viable, it technically has a lower damage/healing cap compared to going into pure +Magic dmg or +Magic healing but it is for sure a more cost effective build

      health shrines are a static 100 hp, I'll add this in on the update video with the druid stuff - good catch!

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but second wind quite literally says that it heals you for 50% of your base hp. Extending it's duration would actually increase the amount of time it takes to get back your hp, not increase the hp you gain. In short, second wind isn't bugged. It just does what it says it does. Hope this helps

    I am kinda disappointed at how little effect Magical and Physical healing has. Wish more things were affected by them

      I agree, I do think more perks/skills will bring Physical Healing in for the heavier melee classes in the near future

    • @ryan6daysaweek
      @ryan6daysaweek  Год назад

      I agree, it should at least have 25% scaling or something of the likes. Right now Physical healing is a bit weak unless you are going full campfire build

    There's no way. I thought these were like a "life steal" stat. For example, if you had +2 physical healing, then every instance of physical damage that you dealt would heal you for that amount. The fact that this is how healing actually works is kind of baffling
